Everyone knows that solid front axle is better than IFS off-road EXCEPT in deep snow. Once it gets deep enough to reach the front axle and build up in front of it, you're pretty much done. With the IFS it usually has way more clearance at the front and won't build up as quickly plus once your rear axle starts dragging you can usually still back up and take another run at it. Big difference. I will concede the Rubicon may be better off-road most of the time, but not all the time. Lets be honest here, very few people will find the limits of either of these off-road regularly. Its a very high bar.
It really depends what kind of wheeling you want to do. Ford purposely built this Bronco for the masses with other trims meant to be more off-road worthy. The Wrangler is better overall at off-roading tho. But most ppl will drive 90-95% on the Streets and highways.
I’ve got a Bronco Badsquatch 2 door and yeah a $120k Jeep with a V8 might be just as good offroad…but the Bronco looks wayyyy better doing it. There’s the elephant in the room.
The bronco soft top takes one hand to fold back from outside the vehicle and the rear window lifts up some, so that was failed portion of the review....tho it is ugly. Also, it would have been nice to see how you tested them, how you used the off road features, what obstacles and abilities set them apart, what innovations are gimmicks and which are functional. This was technically filmed off road but it might as well have been filmed on the highway or just an audio only review. I appreciate the effort tho.
We had a full day of testing off road on some trails and then we shot the in-car a day later after gathering all our notes. We don't always shoot the testing because of time factors. Thanks for watching!
Is El Alder a DEI hire?

That's what we learned. They're both so capable that most buyers will never find the limits.

I’d take a classic Bronco for the nostalgia any day. Bought an old JK unlimited and I love it.
99% talking,1% off-road
There's like a minute of pavement in the whole video lol
@@drivingca I meant serious off-road.Come on guys, you can do better!
So much great information!!

El Alder is a man? I'm confused. (Or is this one of those trans situations?)

My bad. Looks like a Bud Light ad.
Don't drink & drive!
Good review boys!
Both are crap. Jeep lowest rated CR vehicle in 2022. 28%. 🤮
Hard pass on both folks. 👎🏼
Expert score /10?
Jeep 2/10 (great deprecation mark)
Bronco 4/10 ( Its actually showing average reliability potential).
One of these is made for offroad one of these is made for onroad. Pretty simple
Spoiler: Neither of these is made for on-road driving
Wtf is that a bud light person?
That’s gonna hurt Jeep
