This is contradictory because the evil containment wave worked on him. How can he be pure of heart? Had they not forgotten the sealant tape, he would have been sealed in the jar thanks to Trunks. They could’ve kept him sealed somewhere safely, and then used the super dragon balls to remove his immortality and then destroy him in combat. I don’t believe that Zen oh Sama was the only way to defeat him.

When zamasu fused with Goku black he wasn't immortal anymore because part of him is still Goku and his physical body they would just have to kill his own Goku son and he would die with the lack of half of body
