    With the acoustic foam lined tires, these sealants won't work. The pad is dense and prevents the sealant from reaching and sealing the hole. I wonder why Tesla sell these kits.

    Where do you connect it to turn it on? Where is the "cigarette lighter" you're referring?

      In the arm rest. When you open it, it’s kinda hidden but it’s towards the left side (driver side) on top.

      @@MonsterGadgetsthanks. I was actually able to locate it in the trunk, on the left side. I thought it would be in the arm rest but it wasnt. I have a 2023 Y long range, not sure if it changed from previous model years

    I like the spare tire kit that Frugal Tesla Guy reviewed. Seems like the way to go for me.

    Doesn't using this product not render tire scrap even if repairable beforehand, my model 3 performance collection day 18/06.

    does the sealant from the Tesla kit (or other brand in spray can) work if the tires have the acoustic foam?

    i rodered two of the airpump and the slime. tesla cancel my order.but sent me the slime i ordered. they say the pump is discontinue. Just had the two puncture. off 130 / 969 in austin, tx. called tesla road service 40 minutes later flatbed arrived. 50 miles is covered for the tows.

      Yes it seems Tesla has discontinued it. I’m not sure why but one the techs told me they will be bringing it back soon. Was your tire repaired or did it need to be replaced?

    This may seem an obvious question - but why have a "cigarette lighter" plug for this device when the Model 3 does not have a cigarette lighter. Wouldn't it be more prudent to use some other type of plug device either a USB port or a regular outlet plug?

      Hi. It does have a cigarette lighter in the arm rest. It’s a bit hidden but it’s there.

      @@hypertan14 No cigarette lighter, but there is a 12v power outlet that resembles an old cigarette lighter port. The term is just misused by everybody.

    I ordered one last week from griots garage . Should get it Monday. Tried to order a Tesla two week ago and it wouldn't go through. Same price as Tesla.

    U have to replace the tire sensor ? How much is that to replace does anyone know ?

      You do not have to replace the sensor unless something is wrong with it. The average life of a sensor is normally around 8 years but most last much longer than that. This is what I was told from a tire shop when one of the sensors went bad on my truck that’s about 14 years old. I paid $70 to replace it. I would assume it would be about that much +/- $10-15 for any other car as well.

      Yes that’s the recommendation from Tesla just as for replacing the tire.

      Thank you! Yes I agree but wanted to stick to the Tesla brand for the best specifications (if that even matters). I like the fact that it’s one unit with sealant and compressor.
