Hi, i have a really cheap espresso machine for which i replaced the basket to non-pressurized one, and one of delonghi kg79 grinder. My question is will a good grinder like sette 30 work with an entry level machine or i look for up for upgrading both grinder and machine.
That's an amazing question. No doubt a Settle 30 (and if you can, a Settle 270) can phenomenally improve your coffee game (gets rid of those "muted" flavors I talked about). I would recommend spending on that grinder first. A basic espresso machine gets great coffee paired with a capable grinder. (Generally speaking) more expensive espresso machines improve consistency and repeatability. Hope this helps!
Okay I have a doubt. If I'm grinding for espresso, and I don't particularly mind manual grinding, is getting something like the Niche Zero or DF64 worth the extra money than just getting a premium hand grinder that can go espresso fine (like the Commandante)?
That is a great question. Highly recommend a video that James Hoffman made on this one: ruclips.net/video/bgjvLQu5NlE/видео.html. Manual grinders get you more for the money you spend, no doubt!
I am too poor to be cheap. Sometimes its best to pay the extra especially if you know the brand. My dedicated Breville grinder is fantastic. It can powder the powder!
Love your vidios

So true - and the grinder is one example where the cheapest ends up being the most expensive (since you'll have to upgrade sometime anyway). 😂
I just buy Manual Coffee Bean Grinder
Yeah, I hear you on that one. For that price, it really does make a lot of sense!
