Even CEOs/CFOs are held accountable by the investor class (the people that fund the company). If your shareholders don't like the way you're doing things they'll leave and take their money elsewhere. No matter how big you make it there is always somebody above you. Not unless you're the President or Elon Musk and you just happen to have more f u money than anybody else.
