GRID is actually one of the best driving games ever. It's versatile enough to satisfy most racing fans, design is great and still looks good in 2013. I'm gonna play every last bit of this before graduating to GRID 2.

p.s. you forgot to add in the flashback feature thing or w/e its called that allows you to reverse the race and let you start a few secs before you crash or mess up a turn or something.
It's not perfect, but it's damn good. There are some really tense moments.

I loved the drifting in this game. It's the best drifting I've ever seen and it was so cool that I could drift while counter steering on my own.
LOL the japanese announcer in Drift Mode is a nice touch!

this is one of the best racing game ive ever played it was like playing grand turismo 1 when it came out. the damage is one of the best still and it gives you a real feeling of driving in real life..

Having bought this game two years ago, and played it extensively, I have to say this is the most balanced arcade-sim racer there is. Everything from the frame rate, color palette, feel, speed; all of it is so cohesive that it's breathtaking. Though I still prefer sim racers for their in depth customization, Grid easily has the most adrenaline-pumping feel of any racing game I've played.

I like how people can spontaneously blow a tire. One time i was in an NSX racing other NSXs and one guy passed me. The second he got in front of me his tire blew and he was spinning. I just barely missed him. It was awesome!
The track for the Le Mans race is very well designed and it reminded you of Test Drive: Le Mans is because its the real life Le Mans track :D
I have some comments about this game. But I will save them for the forum. Good video man.
the DLC for this game frigging blew me. I would do just about anything to drive the Mazda Furai and this game has it.

this is a great game. at first, it was hard to get use to, but once you get the hang of it, it is awesome. and it feels great when you win trophys, because some races are very hard to win.
I got GRiD about a month ago for £4, love the demolition derby online and still plenty of people playing this game.
Well from my experience I find it pretty good with the wheel and pedals, I really wonder why people call it arcade.
I was just racing today and I took a bend too wide, and my rear left tyre was left on the grass... the moment I slammed on the gas, I spun. Thats pretty realistic feeling to me...
The ending is epic.
i love grid. it's a great mix of arcade and sim (mostly arcade). the game is beautiful, awesome wreckage/car damage, and a very good sense of speed.
i love turismo also, but i hate feeling like i'm going 30mph when the gauge in the game says 90mph.
i hope they release a sequel.

I love the physics in this game. I like how this game uses motion blur effects while driving. It adds an awesome sense of speed.

on the demo of this game (xbox 360) i found that the racing wheel settings wasnt very good?
do u use a racing wheel?
one thing you seemed to miss out was the instant replay feature if you ever crash out completely and kill your car you can press backspace ((on pc version of course)) and rewind the race back to before you crashed and restart from there

Well, the obvious ones are Grid, Grid 2, and most of the Codemasters games, the F1 games also being pretty great. Even more obvious would be Gran Turismo 5 if you want simulation racing, or Burnout Paradise for something completely arcade racer. The new Need For Speed Most Wanted, and Hot Pursuit games are also pretty good. Blur, Ridge Racer: Unbounded, and Motorstorm Apocalypse are fun arcade games as well. As for a non-car racing game, Wipeout games are always good. That good enough for ya? :)

I freakin LOVE this game. It's not really a racing sim, but more a combo of both IMO. The driving physics aren't up to par with what you find on a sim. However.., the physics in the wrecks are f***ing INSANE! The absolute best wrecks I've ever seen on a racing game (haven't played Dirt 2 yet as I'm told the wrecks in that are good too). My main complaint with this game is the controller use. WAY TOO SENSITIVE, and way too easy to oversteer. If you got a Racing Wheel USE IT!

This is by far the best Driving Game I have purchased because The Grathics Are beautiful and FPS is Beautiful I just Love it alot more than GT5
has anyone played both PC and Console version preferable ps3? I was wondering if the steering control on the console is as crappy as the PC? cus when i played it on pc and used a usb controller it was so skiddy it was like driving on ice.

Grid 2 is coming out, but not on November 12, The trailer was released saying it will be out on 2013! Sorry.

Yep :) I liked GT5 but I just would like if it had a similair experience to Forza. Burnout Paradise wasn't really my thing. I will try the NFS games on PC and about the others yeah, I might rent them or download them on PC :D Thanks again
I love playing this game . i find it more fun then forza , but im sad that no one play's online on xbox any more . if any one still plays hit me up ( Monkin Pie )

are the tracks modelled after real international tracks? if so id like to see a barbagallo raceway and bathurst in there, also formula ford would be nice, otherwise ill go with rFactor
Hmm...you didn't point out the flashback feature or maybe I just missed it.
the teammate feature was one of my favorite parts and the rivals. it had lots of game types and was just an amazing game why is there not a grid 2

It amazes me how many people are perplexed with drifting. Most of these also played Gran Turismo, which is responsible for ushering "drifting" into the American automotive psyche. Playing Gran Turismo and winning; it was nearly impossible to win without drifting. I guess most guys just bumped the other cars off the road. Cheap!

1:27 - that race is difficult,even the midnight togue (or what it is called...). I passed that race a few times,but it is thrilling and difficult.
NFS 2 SE still play it on my old pc best game ever for fun

@EddieLolz3r I agree! I would've gotten Dirt 2 if they just announced it. I mean I really want to customize like in Dirt 2, and have all the new features with this theme.
I do love offroad games though (Dirt 2). I'll get that one for sure soon.

100% man, go buy it, it's the best racing game to date! And that's not just an opinon, it's a fact! lol
The graphics, especially the in-car-view (which forza lacks...???) are ASTOUNDING! You feel like you're really driving.
There's VERY realistic damage, and even a demolition race category, along with old muscle cars, Indy cars, tuner cars and a bunch more. And the tracks vary just as much as the cars do.
Oh and the AI opponents?? Absolutely perfect, for beginners or hardcore racers.

when you look at your mirrors and see the other cars they look kind of fake,but not really really fake,still i love this game,i think it is really nice

@neirinckx01 yeh he missed a couple of htings,, yes u can play online,, well on the pc version that i have u can,, and he didnt mention the rewind system wich was the whole novelty of the game,, if u crash ur car u can rewind the instant replay and continute the race from where u rewound it too..
should i get grid or need for speed shift?

They should've fixed the cockpit camera by moving the head UP so it could look straight out the windshield, staring at the road ahead; nevertheless, GRID is still a great game. Even better than DiRT 1.

lol, well, depending on how you drive I guess. But when you play online, oh, it won't be pretty lol! It's chaos, people will be spinning and flying all around you!
If you have the difficulty set higher, then when you take damage, it REALLY effects your car in many areas.
@SERVER1992 if you have a ps3 the best way to drift is everytimes you turn press the brakes a little then turn the opposite way when youre cars facing the wall and push the peddle into that metal XD
