Repairing a BENT AXLE on the Mako Pro Skiff 17

I found myself repairing a bent axle an the mako pro skiff 17 right before a road trip. I was a little shocked when I found out the mako pro skiff 17 axle was no stronger than what it was. When it comes to a boat axle I do believe I found one of the Mako Pro skiff 17 s flaws!

There is, but i needed to fix it quick so we could take our trip. So I'm assuming after I made self modifications to it, the dent, it will no longer be covered under warranty

Didn't even push it! I think they ran out of axles the day they built mine and used a chain link fence post instead.

Mine just snapped at the u bolt. Thankfully I was doing 30 mph and not 60. 2020 model. Impressively low quality. Hull damage to boot.

take it to a trailer shop and get them to turn it into a tandem. i wont ever have a boat trailer without two axles after all the problems ive had with boat axles/hubs/wheels

They really need a 3500lb axle and ateast one more leaf. Getting ready to change mine on the mps17 very soon.

I agree, that axle should not have bent after hitting an average pot hole.

I’ve got a somewhat brand new gooseneck 14GN. $19,000 trailer. Just bent both axles and all three connecting frame beams from hitting one pothole. Potholes w absolutely destroy a trailer w substantial amount of weight on it.

I recently flipped my quad kart build at probably 5-10 miles an hour and that managed to bend my axle😕I feel like it was cheap as hell.

sorry total wrong way to fix a axel. it bent for a reason defect in steel improper weight got hit real hard that axel is not made to bend back that axel will snap off creating a high way crash, that is not a safe fix im sorry by bending the axel like that you weekend that even more i would subjest getting a new axel asap
