just wanted to share a tip for removing mascara: close your eyes and rub (gently!!!) a bit of vaseline on them especially on your lashes. then get a wet cloth/cotton round/q-tip and take the Vaseline off. works like a charm, even on waterproof mascara!!! plus it's gentle and hydrating. It took my sister and mom telling me I need to wash and moisturize my face back in high school for me to work on my skin. THIS helped so much. When I was back in college, I would mainly just use a cleanser and a moisturizer, but after graduating and trying to figure out what my skin needs, I've come up with some products I find helpful. Here's my routine list: CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Bar -> Paula's Choice 2% BHA serum -> CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol (originally used Inkey List's Retinol cream but couldn't find it recently) -> Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (had to switch recently because of the Neutrogena Combination Skin Moisturizer being disconinued :c ) -> (during the day) Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 50 sunscreen. I have combination skin, so I tend to have a lot of congestion and blackheads in my T zone. These products have worked well for me and continue to maintain my skin. If anyone has additional knowledge or recs for combination skin, please feel free to let me know! ❤
Hey! Sounds like you have a good routine started! It’s great that you use sunscreen each day. I would suggest using your retinol at night though and maybe trying to incorporate a vitamin C serum in the morning? You can look into using an AHA/BHA serum blend in the night if you have any texture or issues with pores and/or fine lines but make sure to alternate this with retinol- not using them the same night.
I also would recommend a cleansing balm (I love the Farmacy one) to make sure all of your sunscreen is removed before bed. Following up with a good gel cleanser (youth to the people gel cleanser) has been my lifesaver.
im 13 and ive always been super insecure abt my skin, i started wearing lots of makeup which made it worse... ive been 1 month makeup free and now im on medicine for my acne and i use cera ve face wash, i feel a lot more confident now!! my sister introduced me to your videos, def abt to follow 🥰🥰
Love this video! The girl who is tanned is a Traveller from Ireland I believe? I've watched her videos a few times on my FYP on tiktok. While I'm absolutely not agreeing with darkening your skin so much to imitate another race, I know it is prevalent in the travelling community!
I do want to point out that tretinoin and retinol should be avoided during pregnancy. If vitamin E is what works when you're caring for more than yourself, then get your glow on.
Hyram actually I've been using a vitamin E gel moisturizer and i swear to god that my skin loved it so much! It helped calm my acne down and brighten my scars and it's just amazing
Re the tanned girl: I’m southeast Asian with darker skin tone (I’m brown haha 🙋🏽♀️). I could careless about people over tanning. I don’t think it’s being insensitive. Although, I don’t find the overlay tanned look very flattering on people with light skin tone. But that’s just my opinion. Whatever floats their boat 🛶 🤷🏽♀️
I use elf Holy Hydration Makeup Melting Balm ALL over my face, eyes included. Its the only thing that removes my waterproof mascara. . . Which I NEED in our 90%+ humidity in Charleston, South Carolina! I just keep my eyes closed and wipe gently with a cotton ball before going in with my second cleanse.. usually Neutrogena Hydro Boost!
tanning is a thing. the heavy makeup girl wasn’t black fishing or trying to pass as a different race, and when she took her makeup off her skin color wasn’t even that different. there are white people who are naturally dark skinned (eg: mediterraneans), so what are they supposed to do? use whitening creams because his forbid someone will feel offended? like it’s great to be aware of social issues but this is going completely overboard.
When I was in high school it was super normal to go to the tanning beds all the time and get super tan. My boyfriend used to tell me I was turning orange this was just something we did back then. Also it’s normal for some women to tan that much when they are into body building or doing shows ect. Just because someone is tanning to maybe a color you don’t think is natural doesn’t mean they are trying to change their skin tone it truly could be this women grew up in the 2000’s and still likes to have that dark tan that was popular in our day. Just a small observation.. who knows I could be wrong to but just a thought.
13 things I've learned about skincare while my son knows EVERYTHING about it because of YOU: 1. Makeup wipes are the worst & cleansing balms are the best (to remove makeup)! 2. DO NOT sleep with makeup on your face! 3. St. Ives scrub is bad for your face. 4. Wash your face with a salicylic acid cleanser (if you have oily/acne-prone skin). 5. ALWAYS DOUBLE CLEANSE AT NIGHT! 6. Exfoliate 1-3x weekly. 7. VitC can go bad in a dropper form. 8. Expensive skincare isn't always better. 9. Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream is the BEST moisturizer EVER for DRY skin! 🥰🥰🥰 10. ALWAYS WEAR SPF & REAPPLY EVERY 1.5-2 HOURS! 11. Eye creams aren't necessary. 12. ALWAYS MOISTURIZE! 13.… ALWAYS GO WITH FRAGRANCE-FREE SKINCARE PRODUCTS!
Also, I admit when I first attempted to self tan, it took a while to adjust to a good, subtle bronze. I finally quit using it ANYWHERE besides my glow in the dark legs!! It's too tricky to try tanning my face. Nope! Legs only, with spray Neutrogena MicroMist Airbrush Sunless Spray.❤
I’ve actually always had pretty good skin other than a few pimples cuz of puberty anyway so I just use a cleansing balm to remove any makeup and then I go in with micellar water to cleans the skin and remove mascara and then I put on vitamin c oil an after that I use any face moisturiser I can find :)
I notice when I am stressed, I take it out on my skin. One of the best things I did for my skin is to not touch or pick at my skin. I know this is also annoying advice, but it is one of the easiest things you can do to let your skin heal.
I truly don't understand why mascara removers are not more popular. It makes it so much easier, even on waterproof mascara, and you don't have to rub your eyes like crazy if you don't have the patience to soak a cotton pad in eye-makeup remover and let it sit for like half an hour.
@@Hyram Yes! To be fair I've only seen them sold on asian websites like Yesstyle, and almost no skincare influencer talk about them so that may be why they're not more popular. But they're so great, it's like a serum that you apply on your eyelashes to break down your mascara and help your cleansing oil/balm do its job more efficiently so you don't have to rub as much. I haven't gone back since I've got them.
It was just really interesting to watch all the videos. Everyone has a different skincare routine. They do things I never would have thought of. I do have a more extensive skincare routine. It's like 7 steps but I love skincare and it's a huge hobby of mine.
I'm just curious and I could be missing a detail/ignorant around this discussion: why would it hurt someone else to get a significantly darker tan if you're not trying to look like a different race? The girl in the video didn't look like another race, she was orange... She needed a better undertone and she wasn't fooling anyone about her race. If she was trying to fool someone, she's failing. If she likes looking orange, cool more power to her in her tangerine dreams 🍊. Maybe orange is her favorite color. Idgaf If it's not black face (mocking black people for being black) or black/Asian fishing, I feel like there are situations where it could be ok. I could be wrong and idk. I'm mixed and am white passing. If I tanned I would get really dark and look like my dad. Heck I might even be discriminated against if I consistently tanned that way because I look like him. It sucks that he has to go through that and I've been deeply affected having to see him go through that. I have a deep empathy towards people who have been affected by racism because I've experienced it second hand. I am privileged that I haven't been through the kind of institutionalized racism he's gone through first hand and I acknowledge that privilege. Would it be wrong for me to tan really dark, though? I guess I could try not to tan but.... How does that help dismantle racism? Is that just to not flaunt being white? That's like saying a rich person shouldn't buy nice things as to not taunt poor people. It's a complicated discussion... People can't control being white or the fact that tanning is a beauty standard in western society. Sometimes people tan on accident... It would be wrong to purposefully rub it in someones face that you're white and they're not as a taunt. I guess it's just odd to direct that anger towards someone when that person isn't being racist. The fact that people treat her better than you while having the same skin color is racist. The other people are being racist in that scenario and not her if she's not in on it and is just tanning to look like she went on vacation: which is why tanning became a beauty standard in the west for white people. Because it showed you had money to go on holiday at a sunny place and lay around and do nothing as to tan. Blame Coco Chanel. Should we all just protest tanning as a beauty standard in solidarity with POC because they can't get the same social advantages? Interesting discussion and idk the answers
Tanning to the point where you look a different race is extremely problematic. Her intent doesn’t matter when her impact was harmful. POC that are darker skin don’t get to pick and choose on which day of the week when they are going to be darker skin and for yt ppl to treat dark skin like a trend when POC are being discriminated against and experiencing colorism for it, is a spit in the face. Being tan is a new “beauty standard” created by who exactly? Right. Being you natural tanning color isn’t the issue here you quite literally can’t help that and nobody with a valid opinion is going to fault someone for that. it’s the going out of your way to tan to the point where you are mimicking a group of people who face real discrimination for something they naturally are because you thinks it’s trendy that’s the issue.

I need help! I have oily and acne all over my cheek I'm 15 years old and I've been trying to clear my skin for 7 months I've been trying out different skincare until recently I started using - CerVe foaming cleanser - niacinamide, zinc serum (the ordinary) - moisturiser (the ordinary) I've been sticking to this routine for 3 months but my skin has gotten so much worse, I'm confused because whenever I use sunscreen or moisturiser my skin starts peeling off but when I stop using it my skin turns dry. The niacinimide serum burns and irritates my skin. I'm not sure what to do now. I feel like there's products I'm missing out on but I don't know where to start.
ditch the sunscreen, moisturizer, and niacinamide... just use the cleanser and mix it with a little bit of jojoba oil and rosemary. you probably have sensitive skin to products, just like me. also cerave is good but i wouldnt use the foaming one because it strips your skin. use the blemish/acne control one instead... and use a generous amount because you have oily skin. also you have to try indian healing clay. i used to have oily skin but i used indian healing clay 1-3 times a day for about two weeks, and now my skin is balanced and hasn't been oily for 2 years now. and only wash your face at night bc your skin repairs itself while youre sleeping and youre just washing away all your bodys hard work if you cleanse in the morning. instead, ice your face in the morning, it can reduce acne and hyperpigmentation by so much. just rub an ice cube on the inflamed areas and you should see crazy results in just a few days. also, it seems like you either keep your hair on your face, or touch it a lot... or both? never ever do either!! drink a lot of water, clean up your diet, change your pillowcase often, sleep well before 2am, get at least 7 hours of sleep, do some deep breathing everyday, follow my steps, and you should have clear skin in no time!!
hyram‘s probably not gonna read this but here‘s my routine anyways: in the morning i cleanse with cetaphil‘s daily cleansing lotion (no foaming). then i use my skin 1004 centella water sunscreen and don‘t even need a moisturizer for my oily skin beforehand. then my lunchtime i‘ll cleanse my face with just water bc i‘m oily AF and then reapply my sunscreen. when i get home from work the first thing i‘ll do is washing my face. first i go in with garnier‘s pink micellar water, then i go in with cerave‘s cleansing oil. it‘s called a cleansing oil but it foams up so idk… then i moisturize with benton‘s aloe hyaluron or aloe propolis moisturizer. depends on how much moisture i need. 3x a week i apply differin gel after that and once a week i apply garnier‘s 5% glycolic acid toner before moisturizer. and that‘s about it…

10:20 I completely disagree. Hyram I’ve noticed in your videos you always say toner is unnecessary but I disagree toner is the the second step in your skincare after you cleanse, when cleansing you strip your face so you need toner to bring your ph back up.
In place of a cleansing balm I’ve been using the softymo cleansing face oil, it’s amazing! Does not sting or bother my sensitive eyes!
13 things I've learned about skincare while my son knows EVERYTHING about it because of YOU:
10. ALWAYS WEAR SPF & REAPPLY EVERY 1.5-2 HOURS!
11. Eye creams aren't necessary.
12. ALWAYS MOISTURIZE!
13.… ALWAYS GO WITH FRAGRANCE-FREE SKINCARE PRODUCTS!
Awww thank you so much for watching, and I'm so glad you've been learning more about skincare ☺️
I love the pacifica reusable patches! I use them everynight and sleep in them and it has made my forehead wrinkle dissappear!
I use waterproof mascara that has proven to be fairly difficult to remove, and so I’ve started using Jojoba oil on a cotton pad and it is a LIFESAVER.
I love what u said about the tanning and skin tone! Good job talking about it :)
Thank you so much! You’ve really helped me with my skincare journey!
Aww you're so welcome! Hearing that makes me so happy! 🥹
Thanks for sharing a video with Frownies Facial Patches in it! 🥰
Hyram you should review peach slices! They are a cruelty free and vegan brand! I love there acne cleanser with salicylic acid!
I notice when I am stressed, I take it out on my skin. One of the best things I did for my skin is to not touch or pick at my skin. I know this is also annoying advice, but it is one of the easiest things you can do to let your skin heal.
No that's such a great tip! So many people get into the habit of picking and stopping makes such a big difference!
@@Hyram I am my own worst enemy!
I truly don't understand why mascara removers are not more popular. It makes it so much easier, even on waterproof mascara, and you don't have to rub your eyes like crazy if you don't have the patience to soak a cotton pad in eye-makeup remover and let it sit for like half an hour.
Literally found out they were a thing just now! Definitely should be more talked about
Even better use tubing mascara and it comes off in one go with warm water 🤷♀️
Oh that's awesome I didn't know those were around either!
Those are hydrocolloid patches. They are Frownies which are to help with wrinkles
yep mixed those up! 😅
Idgaf
If it's not black face (mocking black people for being black) or black/Asian fishing, I feel like there are situations where it could be ok.
Exactly!
Love Hyram!!!!! He is so sweet! ❤
I love hyrams vids so much! I’ve learned so much for myself and my skin is so good! I also am helping my friends with their skin because of you I give them advice based on research and your videos!! 💗
Same for me. I've used a few of the products he recommends and they're always amazing 😃
I need help!
I have oily and acne all over my cheek
I'm 15 years old and I've been trying to clear my skin for 7 months
I've been trying out different skincare until recently I started using
- CerVe foaming cleanser
- niacinamide, zinc serum (the ordinary)
- moisturiser (the ordinary)
I've been sticking to this routine for 3 months but my skin has gotten so much worse, I'm confused because whenever I use sunscreen or moisturiser my skin starts peeling off but when I stop using it my skin turns dry.
Hyram your eyes are gorgeous 😭💕
hyram‘s probably not gonna read this but here‘s my routine anyways: in the morning i cleanse with cetaphil‘s daily cleansing lotion (no foaming). then i use my skin 1004 centella water sunscreen and don‘t even need a moisturizer for my oily skin beforehand. then my lunchtime i‘ll cleanse my face with just water bc i‘m oily AF and then reapply my sunscreen. when i get home from work the first thing i‘ll do is washing my face. first i go in with garnier‘s pink micellar water, then i go in with cerave‘s cleansing oil. it‘s called a cleansing oil but it foams up so idk… then i moisturize with benton‘s aloe hyaluron or aloe propolis moisturizer. depends on how much moisture i need. 3x a week i apply differin gel after that and once a week i apply garnier‘s 5% glycolic acid toner before moisturizer. and that‘s about it…
What should I use for anti-aging under my eye area??
U cld use a gentle retinol eye cream or a really gentle retinol serum for all over the face that u can also use under ur eyes
@@nikayla1243 Thanks a lot ❣️. But can you please suggest some brands please for both... Eye cream and serum and what percentage should I use I mean 22 I don't think I should use that harsh and please suggest which fits into the budget... 😂
And can you tell what happened to the skin care junkies?
Hii wow you've got quite the routine, that's awesome you keep on top of it! Hope it's been working well for you! 😊
Hi hyram! I’ve been watching your videos for a long time, and I wanted to know if you can answer a skincare question:
As an athelete, I train in the mornings, at noon time, and afternoon, so I definitely have a lot of sun damage. My question is when do I do my morning skincare routine, if I am just going to sweat it all away? Or should I do the skincare routine in between my trainings? Also, for my concerns about sun damage and uneven textured skin, what would be the best ingredients to heal my skin?
Thank you for being an inspiration,
Love from florida❤
The girl in routine 4 was actuallly using a Noxema cleanser.
probably the the Daily Deep Pore oil free cleanser from the looks of it
The girl with the false tanner is from a culture in Ireland where it’s considered a “norm” and tbh most British/Irish girls love a self tanner 😭 me included but I don’t think I use enough where it’s questionable what race I am…
americans just find everything problematic
@@Adam-lh3gp Tanning to the point you are 10 shades darker then you are is problematic. If you think calling that out is bad then YOU are the issue.
@@KimmyLL1890 they’re irish travelers i can guarantee you they don’t give a fuck about what some chronically online americans say
I like the sephora collection cleansin balm, bliss peel cleanser, ikn pink bottle, discolerattion from good molecules, the ordinary caffine eye alover and amiino acid too, naturium vitamin f and bliss vitamin c and sephora night cream
emilie’s video is from a while ago, and you should do a part two to this video and include emilie again because now she has a very good routine!
I use Simple gel face wash +spf 15 Nivea for sensitive skin
I love these kinds of videos of yours.. keep them coming 😊
Glad you like it! 😊
Hahaha your reaction to the baby wipe 😂😂😂😂 loved this video and you! 🩵
5:08 press with the cotton round on eyes to soak eye area!
5:28 use a cleansing balm‼️
5:39 ELF cleansing balm‼️
7:16 “we are human.”
I've used the Pacifica reusable eye masks and really enjoy them!!
Having such a low moment, then Hyra uploads. Thank you Hyram
Aww sending positive energy your way! 💙
I’m wondering if you like the brand Simple? It works well but i want to now if it is good or not? ☺️
ive tried so many serums and treatments and the only thing that doesnt make me break out is just washing my face and using a moisturizer
hi hyram, i love your vids. theyre so helpful. p.s. your eyes are absolutely STUNNING in this :)
Awww shucks thank you! 🥹💙
I love my baby wipes non scented members mark but i have a make up remover face cloth.
This man is like the skincare gods who were sent to guide us through our face journey
Hiii can you a video on taking off eye liner / mascara. I feel like I have to scrub so intense and I still have raccoon eyes in the morning
Hey hyrum I'm in the teenage years and have oily sensitive skin and I was wondering if you think drunk elephants lala retro would be a good moisturizer for the price
Hyram could you review the naturium retinaldehyde products? Also 😘😘
10:20 I completely disagree. As long as something is made with good intentions, it is never offensive and there are so many studies that show how other white ppl would find this offensive, but people with darker skin tones would be completely ok with it. If you don’t like your skin too white or too dark and you want to change it, change it. It s your skin!
video #1 was frownies, not hydrocolloid patches, just FYI :)
Thx for uploading 💜
You're so welcome! 💙
Hey! I'm pretty sure the 4th girl's cleaner was the Noxema cleanser. Would love to hear if it's any good, if anyone has used it before or anything. My friend swears by it but it has such a strong scent, it scares me 😅
Thank you so much for your videos hyram you helped me so much and started my whole skinxare journey 💓💓💓
You're so welcome! Glad you enjoy them! ❤️
Americans first time seeing an irish traveller
Hi so I just started to use Youngskin they gave me a cleanser scrub and a cream I’m 13 and I don’t know if my skin is dry or oily
Right before this video I got an ad for some damn neatrogeuna makeup wipes 😂
I've heard that AHAs shouldn't be mixed with Peptides. If I'm using a moisturizer with peptides can I use an AHA exfoliator?
Hi Hyram!! Can you please do a video for normal skin products/routines?
I would love to know if it is an issue to intentionally tan your skin at all, or only if it makes you look like a different race? I use self tanner to make me look slightly more tan, and don't want to offend anyone 🤔
As someone who is a poc I personally have no problem with people using fake tan to achieve that natural glowy summer tan but if it's to the point where I can't tell your race then that's when it's a problem
What should I use for anti-aging under my eye area??
I spray tan my legs to match my arms. I'm clearly Caucasian. My legs just do not tan and damn near glow in the dark. No one should be "offended" by it... That's ridiculous. 😢
Hi there! Do u have any opinions about Upcircle products? I recently ordered their eye cream. thanks! Aloha!
Ooooh i saw emilie!! i love her videos haha ( and urs ofc hyram ily)
cerave healing ointment ftw!!!
this is a bit late but I'm curious why you don't like the dermologica micro foliante (no hate just a genuine question)
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you for your tan comments. As a black woman, I appreciate the recognition. 🥰😘
Love your reaction videos!! 😊
Glad you like them! ☺️
4:28 COMPARING my routine to hers and I’m feeling jealous
7:36 take off makeup the second I get home from somewhere
Hey! I love your videos! I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the Origins Ginzing SPF 40 Tinted Moisturizer? I want to know if this product is good or not.
I do my skin care about sunset time
It is insulting for you to say that having an orange face is mocking other races.
I think those were frownies patches not hydro
Whoops! 🙈
@@Hyram omg you replied :))) pls review the frownies patches idk whether to buy
Love your video! But those are not hydrocoloide (not sure how to write sorry) patches, they are like frownies
I think routine 4 for the cleanser I think she was using the caudlie one (bear in mind idk how to spell it lol) but love ur vids sm! ❤
That first routine is not pimple patches over her forehead. They’re “Frownies” which are designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles
I was wondering if you think drunk elephant is okay before I buy it
Lunaty skincare natural products are the best🎉
10:07 exactly
so, i bought reusable cotton rounds a couple years back, and my problem is they always hold a ton of lint and pet hair from my clothes when i wash them :/ any suggestions?
I use a little zip up mesh laundry bag and it's helped cut down on the lint and hair so much!
I agree with @emmapalya1682, these should help with keeping lint off of what's inside them! 😊
thanks so much both of you! 💜💖
have yall heard of these serums by Valjean Labs? theyre actually amazing and i find them at like tj maxx and places like it. I just was wondering if anyone else has heard of them or how popular they are
Mary Bridget the girl that u went on about her tan products she uses Sunbeds and not to be the one who goes on about the stereotype that all travellers use sunbeds but I found most do!!
Hyram I’ve noticed in your videos you always say toner is unnecessary but I disagree toner is the the second step in your skincare after you cleanse, when cleansing you strip your face so you need toner to bring your ph back up. So if you only cleanse and moisturize you skin will not be up to the right ph.
Those are NOT hydrocolid patches!! They are called frownies!!
The rich girl…every time I see someone super rich online, especially if they’re really young, I DIE to know how they got that way. Am I the only one? 😂
Most likely from family.
she used to have a 9-5 but she quit to do tiktok fulltime
So the really tanned girl isnt tryna look like a diferrent race. shes an irish traveler and its really common for them to fake tan a lot and she also said it makes her feel skinnier.
