I'm usually a cold person and I don't like the fan blowing when I already feel chilly in the house. I then would turn on the heat. Is this normal? I want the fan to stop coming on and off.

What would a person set the cooling time and temperature at if the unit is only used for heat? I set all the cooling settings at 80 and left the default times in the program mode.
+alaska49er You can set it at whatever you want. As long as you don't turn the system mode to cool you will have nothing to worry about. If you did turn the mode to cool nothing will happen if you do not have wires connected to the cool terminals.
I just purchased this Thermostat a week ago and on the wi fi setup I can get to the portion were it asks for the Mac info, and I get a message that's its invalid, the numbers are entered correctly and the mac info on the unit is the same as on the card, the manufacturing date is 2005 15 years ago would this be a problem, also I read that a step is missing in the directions. if someone could explain the exact screens and steps that would be helpful. Iam signed up registered with everything that is required, This unit is a RTH 6500 WF SMART SERIES.. thanks...
Hi, I replaced the batteries for the Honeywell thermostat a day after they died. It came back on immediately but the fan hasn’t started yet hours later. What should I do for it to kick off?
You can either set the thermostat to 64 that way if it ever got below 64degrees in your home the heater will cycle on. That's fine, but you can also turn the system off by going to "system" and turning it off.

+The Prince8 as long as the fan switch is set to auto the only reason for the fan to run is if you have cool or heat running. If you don't then you most likely have an equipment issues and need to get it checked out.
Service Champions Heating & Air Conditioning I always have in 70 or 71 on cool while at home but when I leave I leave it at 78 on cool on auto fan now I have noticed the fan shot off when the AC stops

My Trane thremostat is lock on schedule. How do I turn it off?
Thermostat clicks on heating or cooling but nothing comes on. When I put it on heat the only thing happens is the auxiliary kicks on
