- This video shows the steps in removing the front door panels, and rubber weather stripping from all four doors. Removing the weather stripping can assist in vinyl wrapping the chrome trim and avoid cutting the trim in the process. the front doors can be prepped in less than 4 minutes each and the back doors take less than 2 minutes each.
Came here for the mirror removal! Thank you for the video!
Hello question my trim door handle got damaged can I replace it if I have to replace the whole door trim? Thanks in advance
I need a little more info for clarity, are you referring to the chrome garnish on the exterior door handle is damaged or the interior trim on the door panel handle area is damaged?
@@Foxcraze The interior trim door panel. It’s the part that housed the window control.
I've got a super annoying rattle from the hard plastic window trim inside but had no idea how to take it apart. Thanks so much for making such a nice and detailed diy!
No problem, glad to be of assistance!!Make sure to subscribe as I will be doing other disassembly videos as well!
Thank you for taking the time to do this. Helped me easily replace the wing mirror!

Hey man awesome video. Quick question do I have to remove the whole door panel to remove or swap my front passenger side power switch? Thanks man
Yikes it’s been such a long time but yeah I think you do because I believe it’s screwed in from the inside below.
Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Thanks, stay tuned for more in the future!

Hey, thanks for the quick response. The part of the door that the window control module sits in. The leather got ripped. Wanted to know if that can be bought as a piece/ part?
@roaringlionzofficial ahh ok so the plastic and leather wrapped pieces of the door are all plastic welded together. If the leather/ leatherette tore, your only two options are to either replace the door panel or take it to an upholstery shop and have them replace the damaged leather.

Is it the same for the q60?
Unfortunately I’m not to sure, I haven’t been close to one to see. Knowing how lazy car manufacturers are it’s likely that it’s close.
Awesome video man, the chrome has been killing me on my q50 I’m gonna knock this out this weekend
Dang my first video uploaded haha; glad you found it helpful. I have another newer video in the archive that covers some additional tips I learned along the way while doing other q50 chrome deletes.
Can those trim pieces be completely removed?
Reginald Simon the top trims are riveted so I don’t thing so unless you re place the rivers after. The bottom pieces pop off since they are clipped down but it takes a lot of force and I didn’t wanna break them.
Damn im too lazy to do this, imma just pay a shop haha
Edson Cuevas haha shops are expensive, and you can totally do this. Break it down to a window a day and make it less overwhelming for yourself.
