- In this video we upgrade the stock side mirror indictors to LED sequential turn signals with DRL functionality. They have a white appearance when running in DRL mode and come with built in puddle lights to help illuminate the side of your car.
The turn signals also feature a smoked chrome look to blend into the black mirror caps. They look pretty clean and are a nice upgrade for your Infiniti.
In this video we show you the full install including wiring up the DRL and puddle light functionality.

thanks for this, for anyone doing this in future, when removing the mirror cap, start at the tip and then work up a little on the top, then a little on the bottom, so on so forth. Doing just the top first or just the bottom first will probably lead to breaks.
I personally don't like the look of the DRL on the mirror so I just did the sequential blinker (which took 20 minutes total, 15 for the first, 5 for the second). Don't even need to do any soldering for that, just clips, screws, and plugs. The puddle light is kinda cool I suppose, but I couldn't decide on if I liked it or not. 1) it's nice for visibility so you don't step in something, but 2) I'm going for a stealthy build on my Q. I decided I was too undecided and therefore it wasn't worth going into the door for me.

this helped me replace the stock turn signal that i cracked backing up too close to a wall. i was glad that i didn't have to remove the door panel because the stock one just plugs in right there. however, i still broke a clip putting the trim piece back on. once i realized you just line up the clips with the holes and push straight back it was easy. thanks!

Wish he did an install video for the front bumper sequentials. Camera work was much better than some of the other install videos.
For anyone not getting the drl to work, you have to connect the connector that goes into the window roll mount. You connect that in order for power to go through the door, for some reason it doesn’t work if is not connected. Was stuck for like 2 hours until I figured it out

Question for you guys, I whenever I connect my driving light wire my puddle light goes out then I'm left with no light, no drl no puddle, but if I remove drl my puddle stays on, do u know what could be causing that? I have it connected where it would be on all the time q50s... Driver side is working fine but the pass side is acting up... No drl, only puddle, connect drl then my puddle goes out leaving me with no light

Do you recall what size gauge wire you used to tap the wires into the door wires? My kit came with these little boxes with wires that seem to be a bigger gauge then the ones that are attached to the sequential lights themselves. I need longer wires so wanted to buy some. The wires attached to my sequentials are 24awg but the boxes have a thicker wire (it doesn’t say what gauge they are)

Did you tape into the red one for the DRL? In the video it looks like you tapped into two wires but not the red

They look nice but I don’t like the puddle lights staying on at night while driving..I’m not even sure if that’s legal. I think I’m going to buy some some but I’ll wire my puddle lights to my door handle light so it only comes on when I unlock my car door..
Running it for 3 months now and no issues. If this is illegal then the LED bars that lifted trucks use in Texas are definitely illegal lmao

Do you know if you can install a separate switch to turn on/off white LED whenever you want? I think those are a bit to bright to be driving in at night
Yes you can definitely wire a separate switch. I thought about doing a soft switch and controlling with my phone as well but honestly they're not very bright in person. Never had any issues with cops or other cars.

The qx50 has the same mirrors I believe so you could probably make it work
Not everyone has the hole in the leather inside the handle. Try using a small Allen wrench to slide along the side and pull from below.

You are such a PRO! You do most of your work in pajamas, probably even before breakfast. Although, with a growing channel, you need to step your game up. Take pointers from your buddy. BTW, where does your buddy get his manicures? My wife is looking for a good place.
I have a 18 Q60. Do you know which wires I need to tap into for DRL and puddle lights?
it should be the same. the colors might be different but the position on the harness is the same. watch the video again and you can see which positions the wires are in.

Great Installation Video! What if I don't want to have the puddle lights to be on at all. I only want the Sequential turn light and the DRLs.The only wires I have to connect are the red, black, and blue wires right?

I have these on my Avalon, the same process, except I ran the puddle lamp to my domelight/courtesy light circuit, and this white light, is ran to a oem switch , That switch is powered by my park light fuse, so It only will be active when my park/head light is on , its on my channel

I have an issue where I’ll lock my car and the mirror lights would still be on the whole time. How do I have them turn off when the car is locked and off?
Same thing i thought for me, but after saying screw it ill sort another time it turns out they just take ages to turn off, but they do turn off
In all seriousness, has the housing or plastic turned yellow on your sequentials? Mine have yellowed after a year. Thinking of taking compund and polish to it then waxing them.....
Quick Question what are the wire colors you hooked up in order to have the puddle lights to work on approach or when you open the door? I'm still having the no light issue considering I followed this video step by step. Any help you can give will be great.
@@thejamaicansenpai1698 i cant remember its been so long. Just check which wire has power when the car is off. I thought they addressed this in the video, shpuld have a stripe down the side of it. Or go off wire location from the connection point and applu that to your wires from their video

SO! i wired mine up the same way, BUT the puddle lights will sometimes partially illuminate. Where 2 will stay on or all will. Especially when i roll the windows up and down. if i flick the window switch it will usually light them all up but sometimes it wont. SO what did i do wrong?

I tapped into the puddle lights and now my light won’t turn off is it something I need to just within the car settings?
Im having the same problem the light wont turn off i had to disconect the battery dont know what to do now

I need some help. I think i messed up my wires because the "purple" wire for the DRL's now has no current and for some reason the gray wire next to it now has a current. When i try to connect them nothing happens. Additionally my window rolls up only in segments not continuously. Does anyone know a solution?

My puddle lamps are not even close to that level of brightness like wtf. I got mine from amazon. The DRLs are fine but they are causing radio static smh

Having same problem mine have 3 wires white red an blue . the blue is in purple an red an grey white is not being used but I tried putting it to the brown an nothing no puddle just the drl

@@calikali8811 I dont care if its AMG or not. It's hella tacky. To me, being understated is more sophisticated. Those cheesy illuminated emblems screams "looks at me" when the damn car ain't special, lol. Also, its a dumb feature that will burn out....just another unnecessary thing to eventually repair.

For puddle lights not be on with drl and when approaching the vehicle I Tried connecting:
Black to grey
Blue to purple
Red to brown
As per the video however the puddles do not work :-(

You guys tapping into wrong wire I dont know how they got power from those wire but you should tapping into window switch mail plug and until you dont connect ground puddle light won't work that's what I have learnt from my installation

It's a factory option on 18+ models. You can find eBay ones as well

This video has errors. For those that cannot get your puddle lights to work after following this video here is the fix. To get the puddle lights to work hook the black and white wire to the courtesy lights at the bottom of the door. Q50 2018

Engineers are on crack. I'd just do the mirror that goes NOT through door but another wire that borrows the same hole to the source. No need for door but hey how would they make money right? if they made it easy?
