Great tutorial... and it also applies to the Wrangler 4xe which has the same 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder. My Wrangler Sahara 4xe has the same drain pan, plug, and oil filter.

To reset oil life, it must be in RUN, not ACC.

Maybe I’m old school, but I always put a thin layer of new oil on the seal prior to installing the oil filter. Now I know why I do this. If the surface the filter is being sealed against is clean and dry: “The oil film keeps the gasket in place on the filter. It allows the gasket to slide when first contact is made. Otherwise a dry rubber gasket can grab on initial contact of engine when tightening.”
I do the same thing!
Does your intake not throw a P1CEA code because of the turbo pressure?
Hey thanks for the question, we have had no issues with codes from the intake. We were worried about it because some of the reviews indicated that it might, but we have had no issues at all. Thanks for checking out the channel

I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler 2.0 Turbo..does anyone know where the oil pressure sending unit is located??
I believe it is on the engine oil cooler
How many miles can you get out of this engine if it’s well maintained?
If you change the oil like your supposed to with good quality oil and keep the airfilter clean I would say easily 150,000 to 200000 with any major issues, you will have normal maintenance items like with any engine, water pumps, plugs, coils, alternators, etc and depending on how hard you are on the motor maybe the turbo but I would doubt it. They are a solid platform
Punch a nail into the oil filter to let it drain out before removal
That is an option for sure, if you choose to use that method just make sure you loosen the oil filter a little first to make sure it turns easily once it drains out
I recommend wearing latex gloves at the very least when removing the drain plug and filter.
If you choose to wear gloves, which many do, i would suggest a nitrile glove vrs latex so you dont have to worry about latex allergies. My only issue with gloves is its one more non bio degradable product into the landfill and if you clean your hands quickly after exposure to the oil you limit its permeability to your skin, we all expose ourselves to many different cancer causing substances and chemicals not good for our bodies and they come in all forms and pathways and i think we all can do better at protecting ourselves and gloves is certainly one of those ways! Fram filters are the absolute worst on the market. You should use a Mopar, Purolator or Wix.
Thanks for the perspective, I agree the fram filters from the early 2000s and before have a bad rap for sure, the filter we use is the fram ultra filter made for synthetic oil and they do not have same reputation as the orange can frams of the past. I do understand folks hesitancy based on past information. Thanks again for the comment
Wear some gloves … ?! So you don’t get oil on your hands…
For those that choose to wear gloves just make sure you pick a non latex glove to avoid any possibility for allergic reaction!
