Looks like a control arm for a pimp daddy drivin a jacked up caddy
Thanks for the rhyme
I bet this guy made the reservation saying he was towing a civic or some small suv.... Keep the roads safe people! smh
Looks like anyone could just cut the strap and steal the entire $350 set up.
Looks like anyone could just cut the strap and Stella the whole set up.
They can, my goal was just to not make it easy, they can cut the straps but they wont get the roto packs off the mounts without some work
Hi where I can buy video 1:25 coil springs spacer rubber kit
Teraflex makes replacement rubber isolators for the jeep www.northridge4x4.com/part/4953000-teraflex-hd-coil-spring-perch-kit-front-lower as an example, hope that helps
Thank you!
Absolutely!
Has that evo tire carrier rusted at all?
It has not, it has held up really well, the only things that have a little rust on them are the bolts that hold the pads that stop it from opening too far. Really happy with it!
@ looks nice! What lift do you have?
@Madmike908 thanks I have a an AEV dual sport lift with the 3 inch overland springs and falcon shocks with metal cloak control arms and geometry correction brackets
Thank you!
You bet, Thanks for checking out the video!
He might as well be using a dummy load instead of that antenna
Well it works
@ maybe for repeater locally but try something 20 miles away.
@BobLay-t9i we were only using it for vehicle to vehicle coms, at the most a mile or two, everyone has a different use case for anything they use, this was ours
Sure wish I could do my oil changes my self. But cant do to warranty or it will void it.
It will not void the warranty, just keep a log and receipts of the oil and filter and record it in your owners manual in the service section
@ it’s not a factory warranty it’s one purchased from car lot.
@dunnoyolo2238 ah, i guess they have it written in that you have to get the oil changed at their facility to keep the warranty good?
@ has to be certified licensed repair shop . Which kinda sucks because I can do a lot of it myself.
@dunnoyolo2238 interesting and i am sure its frustrating because paying a shop to do it is not a cost effective way of getting your oil changed by any means
I wish i had seen this video first. Apparently most have after market skid plates that dont hinge. That hinge plate is a pain in the ass. Next oil change I am cutting those off. Think it would be alot easier.
Yes that would certainly make a difference!
Love how you have been upgrading your Jeep with every new part you purchase. I have just started and have a long way to go to get mine setup.
Thanks, I am a fan of the process and of course the end result! Good luck with yours
placer gold is rich in these gulches.
Beautiful part of the state!
For sure!👍
@kristamurphy5444 😁
Good job love the video
Thank you!
Wanted to see how you did it ...
Thanks
I’ve watched both of your videos on the unboxing and setup. Nice and thorough! Thank you. How rigid is the tent? Seems like it might flex and flap quite a bit. Any issues with the tonneau or materials?
Thanks, I appreciate it, tent is solid even in the wind, been really impressed with the uv resistance has not faded at all, been one of the best tents i have used
I’m leaving for Myrtle beach Tuesday , do you think trailering my jeep with 38/13.50 will fit ?
I think you will be too wide, i just barely fit with 35s and the tires were touching the trailer sides as it was, i even aired the tires up to max cold pressure to make them skinnier, good luck
Myrtle Beach is closed!
I havethe same exact truck. Same color and all. Currently rocking 285K miles on it
Awesome, how is your clutch pedal, mine seems really short throw that is, i just ordered a clutch master and slave as i think they are bad, doesnt slip just short engagement
What is a thickness of plywood ?
It is 3/4 inch, thanks for the question
@@FischerJeepAdventures than you
@@FischerJeepAdventures than you
@Dubinsky4x4 absolutely
Thanks for link to part.
Absolutely
That cover looks great. I have 2 questions, what are the measurements of each “door” and how high do they come up off the rail? Thanks
Thanks It really transforms the truck. I am really happy with it, this is on a first gen tacoma each panel is 34.5 inches and they come up almost 28 inches off the bed rail when open, so lots of room to get things in and out, hope that answers your question
Thank you, thats exactly what i needed
@logicha1267 awesome
How’s the tent holding up??
Its good, the cover has held up perfectly to the seasons and uv and the tent is great, I am about to switch it over to my new to me first gen tacoma project so ill be excited to see how i like it where i dont have to climb so far up, super impressed with it
Great video! After watching it several times I have two questions 1) How did you tighten the two lower bumper bolts inside the frame... near the mounting plate? 2) Did you torque or hand-tighten the bolts that attach to the winch from underneath? Two of mine ended up cross-threaded. Thank you!
Thanks, for question one i had a combination of a long handled fine toothed ratchet that allows little swing to use the ratchet and a universal joint extension. For question 2 I hand threaded the individual bolts into the foot of the winch to avoid cross threading then tightened with a socket and torqued with a torque wrench. Hope that helps.
@@FischerJeepAdventures It definitely helps; thank you!
Absolutely
your music was playing while you were speaking, never heard a word...lol
I have learned to not include music its too much trouble and never seems to work out right
This is perfect, thanks for the setup.
Thanks! It worked out really well for me!
Hi with aev high capacity springs 3ich do u really need low control and upper control? My jeep sport JL also build overland awning wich roofrack rooftent and all etc
Hello, You dont need them for the lift especially if you add the geometry correction brackets, i added them for the greater articulation of the joints on the control arms, just allows the suspension to flex in a way to help maintain traction.
@@FischerJeepAdventures thanks bud
👍
Which shelf do you have in the rear cargo space?
Its the one by vector offroad
i just ordered these. Going to use for footwell lighting in silverado. How have yours been? Still working?
Yes they still work and are great lights you will be happy with them!
I will never understand why you guys put music in the video.
Honestly when i first started making videos it seemed like that was what i was supposed to do, I dont anymore unless its covering a time lapse section where there is no natural audio
You really need to learn how to pull he plastic clips out! Hint they are called PUSH pins😊.
Thanks for the hint, I would have never known what they were
Do U Recall where U bought the aluminum press clamp, to push in needle bearing caps??
I got this one from amazon amzn.to/3TiYScn
Didn’t sound like 4 low?
What is that supposed to mean? You think through a video you can tell the difference by what you think the motor is supposed to sound like, come on man, if u dont have a productive comment keep it to yourself
Sorry, didn’t mean to be unproductive. My thought was that loaded down rigs, and the area that was a little off camber…. Some people forget to switch to 4low for better control. It sounded like the motor was struggling a little and then created a lot of wheel spin. Your video and information was great. I’ve been through that area as well.
@erickweinzapfel196 water crossings and sand I often switch into manual shift and start in 2nd gear in 4low, with the rubicon transfercase ratio 1st gear can be really low, so it will have lower rpms than if i start in 1st and it gives a little more wheel spin which i feel is important on slippery rocks
How did you mount your tent to the rhino roof rack?
The tent comes with t bolts that slide in the tent rails 8 total so one on each side of the rack cross bars per rail and then they are fastened on the bottom with metal straps that have a bolt hole on either end that basically makes a u when you bolt everything together, super secure
If you're 6'9" tall how can you fit in the FSR Aspenlite RTT?
I sleep on my side curled up, been sleeping that way my whole life so its natural for me to do it
Holy mackeral! We visited Moab recently as part of our journey across the USA. While riding Onion Creek Trail, we got lost and went up that hill (see 3min 40sec) mark where you went up the hill and thru a gate. We thought that it would lead us back to 128. Boy were we wrong. Once we drove up that hill, we went down. There was no turning back. I made a video documenting our adventure on Onion Hill - Part 1 and Part 2. Part 2 show us after we went thru the gate and looking for 128 and having to go back thru the "hill of death" after we ran into a dead end. You went on. Had no idea where we were. Just glad we got out because it would have been a long walk. Thanks for sharing your video.
Thanks!! Looks like you guys had quite the adventure! Thanks for sharing
Did you need the strap to pull the axle back to get the bolt holes to line up?
Thats how i used it, i set the basic control arm length first and then used the strap instead of wrestling with the alignment and then fine tuned from there worked out really well
I choose to change oil on all my vehicles at 5k miles
Thanks for the comment
Not step by step, as indicated, you will run into struggles.
Not sure what you mean, its pretty straight forward, and haven’t had any struggles
I can't believe they increased the price by 1 grand in less than a year also they charge 350 for shipping
The whole world seems to be charging more for everything these days, very frustrating
Thanks for the info
You bet!
Went to RUclips after I got my 2024 Willy 2dr home....disturbing lack of undercarriage protection - a skid plate like this is on my short list of upgrades before I take it off road.
Right, why would they not protect the most important things straight from the factory. Good luck and enjoy the jeep!
Thanks for the video! I'm switching out of dealer oil changes and doing it on my own now and this was a great video for me to follow!
Absolutely thanks for watching!
Mine did that from day one and when you put a new carrier bearing in there dang near just as much play. Best fix, 1 piece driveline. Thumbs up on the video.
Thanks I appreciate it, I did take it for a drive after and it made a partial difference, definitely less vibration, as to the one piece drive shafts I did look at those but it appears atleast for the first gens tom woods stopped making them because it did not solve the vibration issues particularly caused by flange angles due to suspension lifts, it seems like there are no great solutions
Thank you for your informative video.
Thank you and thanks for checking out the video
Thank you so much for posting. We ordered a Defender 110 and this is the perfect trip for an off roading camping trip like you so wonderfully documented!
Awesome!!! And your welcome
I think I am going to buy an aftermarket engine skid plate with a 4 bolt panel for the oil filter change. I think over the life of the vehicle I will thank myself. Toyota REALLY wants you to go to the dealer for oil changes.
I think thats a great option and one we are looking at too
What is the name of the aftermarket engine skid plate which you speak of?
How is the paint on the KC mounts holding up? I my get a set I like the looks
They are holding up very well, no chalk or faded areas, even the edges have held up, very happy with them, I think you would be too
Did you mounted this to your rack or the tent?
It is mounted to the rack using awning brackets mounted to the hd crossbars
@3:18 I spoke with someone at FSR about mounting there 270 or 180 awning or any other gear. They told me I wouldn’t be able to mount any accessories on this tent.
Correct, the frame of the tent is not designed for accessories, if your wanting to have them or racks you need the full aluminum cased hardshell
Thanks! This was very helpful.
Excellent, thanks for the comment!
