I think I already made a comment earlier but I’m making another one. This recording sounds like it was done at Chess records in Chicago . The tone in the amp, JD’s voice and fingers, and that great old guitar make a timeless sound. This is something JD should pursue and make a whole album of acoustic and electric blues just by himself. I would be first in line to buy it. Great, great, great stuff!!!
@@JaimeCerrada What is the point then of pointing out the physical characteristics of anyone? Children have to be taught that at a minimum, it's impolite and unnecessary. That's how they develop social skills which you apparently you don't have.
no coincidence. you shook me was originally written as a musical piece titled blue guitar by the legendary slide player Earl Hooker. willie dixon later wrote the words to you shook me over it. Earl started out as a player in Robert Nighthawk's band and this cover is based on Nighthawk's cover of Tampa Red's original titled Anna Lou blues. Simo's cover is just stellar!
Wow.. talk about standing alone and killing it.
Amazing!
JD Simo is the real deal. greetings from morocco
A big hello Benadi... °°Jasper°°
Anytime I hear JD Simo play an intro, I swear it's some original recording from the 50s
JD is so freaking good

Love JD! Great job!
Awesome as usual, maybe my favorite modern Blues guitarist.
Ledge! Peace and love from NZ.
Wow, that is SUPER tasty. I love the sound of the recording. Very lively between the woody guitar tone and that beautiful reverb.
This guy knows what it means to be The Dude.
One of my heroes.
You nailed it, bro.
Proof that Talent x Guitar x Amp, can be all you need to sound great ... nice recording too CVG 👍

So damn killer!!
I swear JD gets taller every time I see him.
Yeah what the hell I wouldn’t have even recognized the dude if they didn’t state his name.
Did you mean wider?
@@JaimeCerrada Don't be an asshole.
@@WinstonOBoogie_ Isn't that right? I like it so much as a bluesman, one of my favourites but ... Have I told a lie? Truths sometimes offend.
