The crisis at the border has been worsening for years, but the recent surges come from Cubans, who, under US law, have special status. Fentanyl is such a concentrated narcotic (a dose of only 2mg is lethal) that ending the smuggling of it is impossible. We have never been able to stop the flow of cocaine or cannabis, so why would anyone imagine we could stop the flow of something so much easier to hide?
While clearly I'm not a fan of the SHS, I'm glad she is cancer free and hope she can deliver more for her poor state than rhetoric about loving freedom and some touching stories. She was President Trump's press secretary, but capable governance takes leadership, policy chops, and an ability to build consensus. I don't think those are her talents, but would love to see her deliver results for Arkansas.

After Reagan and Bush I the debt had quadrupled and the ratio was running up to about 50% of GDP. Since then it's all been up, to well over 120% of GDP under Trump.
It was tax cuts, not charity donations. And the poor have nothing left over to donate, but the ultra rich still pay a lower tax rate. BTW, those donations only apply to income taxes, and the very poor don't pay federal income taxes and still pay a higher total tax rate.

Not only is Arkansas the 4th poorest state in the nation with an affordable housing crisis and massive food insecurity, but Sanders has signed several different laws controlling people’s behavior-from banning books and the gender-neutral term “Latinx”, to policing what bathrooms trans and nonbinary people can use, to restricting teachers from talking about race, sexual orientation, or gender identity in the classroom.
With educational challenges like lower funding per student, extreme weather conditions, limited employment opportunities, lower average income, limited cultural diversity, and limited access to certain amenities like healthcare facilities, entertainment venues, and shopping options it would probably be a step down for anyone to move to Arkansas.
I’ll save you time: this is 15 minutes of partisan lies and misrepresentations. It’s gross. SHS is going to have to have a real awkward conversation with Jesus about this speech someday.
