This is a very balanced review. Nice to see this guy mentioning that it's not just Samsung phones that aren't changing much. Many other , especially American tech RUclipsrs go all out on Samsung for keeping the same design but don't mention iPhone has been identical for 6 years.
Well I think Samsung spoiled people with Newley designed phones every other year and I think people are expecting Apple to keep the same design hence as to why they keep going at Samsung but if it’s not broken don’t fix it.

I wanted to buy this, but I CANNOT by principle, because it's still 4nm. Next year will be 3nm, and if you follow semiconductor news, 3nm will stay for a while (at least 3 years). It would REALLY suck if I had to cope for 4 years with a 4nm phone while I could be patient for just a year and get a 3nm S25 and use it comfortably, knowing that 3nm will stay at the top of the performance for the next 3 years. My midrange phone is fine. I can wait, hopefully.
@@ShadowbannedAccount Hate to break it to you buddy but the A17 is 3nm and it both overheats and gets beat by the snap 8 gen 3 in most benchmarks, especially gaming and ray tracing and ai ones So having the first generation 3nm might turn out to be a mistake
@@theNimboo Yields get better over time, and it's not up to Qualcomm or Apple or Samsung. It's up to TSMC. So, even if it's technically the first generation from Qualcomm, it's 1 year ahead when it comes to silicon yields compared to A17. Besides, despite me talking about performance in the last comment, I'm not exactly aiming for that. I will probably only use its full performance for, like, minutes at best. I'm aiming for the efficiency boost.
Everybody is saying "no major change". IMO, the design change of a flat display and uniform bezels makes a SUBSTANTIAL difference in the overall design of the phone. I upgraded from 23U primarily for that reason. If you dont care about design, i wouldnt be surprised if you think this difference is minor. But dont be shocked to see others disagree. Lastly, that titanium color is one of the best I've seen on a smartphone. Absolutely gorgeous phone.

Had my S21 for 3 years. Tried a Pixel 8 Pro in bay blue. Loved the color and feel but wasn't for me so send that back. December Google deals allowed me to get my Pixel 8 Hazel for 150$ out of pocket, so I traded in my S21. I prefer OneUI and was always curious about Samsungs Flagship Ultras. Upgrading from the s20 and i can't wait until it gets here. I got the ultra with 1 tb because there is no memory card slot for the ultra and didn't know how much i would need. I have a 96gig card in my phone now. They really need to put the card expantion option back on there phones.

Still using the Galaxy Note 9, so this Ultra looks like the one for me. I prefer to have a flagship phone for longer instead of a lower tier but newer phone. Better for the environment and my wallet, and Samsung have said it will get full software support till 2031 so should be worth holding on to. At least it gets built-in AI, iPhone users only got USB-C so will probably get built-in AI in 2040.
I have the s21 ultra and I pre ordered mine. 64mp to 200mp for pictures is such a leap and 512gb space I got is better. I've watched a few reviews, but no one mentions the ability of this phone to make an emergency call using a satllite connection when cell connection is unavailable. That's the whole reason I was interested in this phone. A feature like that matters out here in Arizona, Wyoming, etc. I'd like to know about THAT feature. Thanks!
Waiting to upgrade from my S20 Ultra. Mine still takes great pics, has a 5000mah battery w/45W charging, 16GB RAM, 512GB memory w/128GB SD Card. Hopefully, the S25 Ultra will get a 5500mah battery, 65W charging, 144 Hz (or better) refresh rate, and remove the selfie camera and put it on the S-pen.
@jokast8861 I like how the curve display looks, but I use the s-pen a lot and edit videos. It gets annoying sometimes working around the curve area. the other thing is I always end up touching the side with my hands even with a case on it. I've been using a curve display from the S8+ , S9 Edge, S10 +, Note 20 , s23 ultra.. so im glad for the change this year.
These are my two cents. You may disagree with me, and that is fine: The S24 Ultra feels like a stop gap generation. Design is mostly still the same as the S22 Ultra, the battery capacity is still the same. The 45W fast charging is still the same. The 12GB RAM and storage sizes are also still the same. Even the main camera and video quality feels the same, minus the AI stuffs. To summarize the S24 Ultra, here is what I think is the big change: - Flat display (subjective to user preferences) - Brighter display - Higher 50MP 5x telephoto over 10MP 10x telephoto - Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 - Galaxy AI stuffs - 7 years of software support - Price (in Malaysia, there is a massive price hike for the new S24 series) To me, when AI is the main selling point of the product, that is when I know that the upgrade is not worthwhile.
Thank god samsung removed curved display which was not that durable and as a big handed guy, I always got unwanted touched from sides. I love big phones, and i am going for this one without any hesitation.
Thanks for the helpful review. I think that a phone cover with more round corners would help eliminate the feel of the sharper corners, hopefully without making the phone too much wider.
Gone are the days when they went ham with camera upgrades pre-S10. Nowadays, just change one lens and do some really minor hardware changes and call it a day. What next, S25U with better 3x lens only, better screen, and oh, surprise surprise much more intelligent AI features. I dont mind the design looking the same, it emphasizes it is a Samsung phone. But wow, out of 10 parts, changing only 1 out of 10 of them each year and then be done with it, ridiculous.
how does the camera compare to Samsung Galaxy S23? I just had my S21stolen on vacation and need to replace it, is it worth the money to get the S24? I want it as a camera for travelling and zoom for filming video at football matches and concerts...
I am a Samsung Knight. However in terms of upgrade It's an incremental upgrade . Better AOD, Flat screen , 2600 nits, snapdragon gen 3. As an owner of the s23 Ultra, I'll wait for the z fold 6 and hope they use the best prototype designs and give it 100% to be as good or better than the Huawei mate x5 and Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition as first large foldable w integrated s pen. This upgrade is only for those who have the s22 or s21 or older , if you have the s23 ultra I recommend waiting one more year. With that being said android offers more value like multi tasking , stylus pen w gestures, foldable innovation, advanced emulation no limitations etc. This is exactly why Samsung, Google, Huawei and Xiaomi , One plus and Red Magic and the entire android family will always be lightyears ahead of ios and why I will never return my main sim to ios ever again.
So IOS is light years behind bc they dont give you the Option to use a Pen? Im not pro IOS nor pro Android but Apple mostly focuses on the AVG User. For Example, my whole Family has 0 interest in a Pen Feature and i can tell the most people you will ask, would say they wont need it. So why investing Money in this? :D
@@justinporter6113 Yep and that is true indeed. But what would actually come into your Mind that they should add? So that you would buy it? (Besides 120hz) Because overall its a great Phone.
Not upgrading to the Ultra unless they get rid of the sharp corner... EDIT: Yeah I know a case can reduce how sharp the corner is, but I want it rounded like the Plus. More comfortable to use.
@@MrRanjodh26exactly who runs around with a 1300 dollar phone with no case?! 😂 People find anything to complain about, I didn't even notice the sharp corners cuz of my case.

S22 Ultra Snapdragon here, excellent battery life and camera great ! Tested next to an S24 Ultra yesterday at a store, and little bit more details on pictures taken. Zoom level same, doesnt justify samsung to buy back my phone 850$ and spending 1799$ + taxes for a 512Gb S24 Ultra...thats litteraly throwing money away.😮
I can say after using both apple and android over the years I traded my s21 Ultra for an Iphone 14 Pro max.........Big mistake for me, I am a power user when it comes to my phone and my Job I require a phone that operates at a laptop level of performance. Owning an Iphone for the last 6 months, I have brought the Iphone to its knees begging for mercy, it cannot keep up with me performance is horrible. I have pre- ordered the s24 Ultra and cant wait to switch back to android. Apple I do not what to say it is very lack luster performance at a premium , the s21 ultra still operated and a higher level of multitasking than the iphone 14 pro max benchmarks are not a true test of performance. So looking forward to the new S24 Ultra. If you are a power user in your professional life Samsung ultra is the way to go. If you are a teenage texting machine stay with the iPhone you will be pleased.
Awesome as always. Is there any chance you put screen protector and give us an update if reflection get worst? I wanna know if anti reflection works with screen protectors? Thanks in advance
I have a 10+ 1 TB 12 GB RAM Ceramic version. The only reason I can even think of upgrading is for the processor, and the camera. Everything else seems competitive still. Still love it, still fast, still customizable. Sure the camera on it does not compare to the S23 or 24 ultra cameras, but it still does take nice pictures. Hard to say if the jump is actually worth it.
I use the 10+ 128GB and pre-ordered the S24U. The cameras and the 7 year major update plan sold it for me. Since the S10 got its last security updates in February 2023 I feel it's the best time to switch for me. Using all coupons and the trade-in deal directly on Samsung's website you get the 512 GB model for around 1k. Still a lot but I'm planning on using it for 7 years so I think that evens out.
@@Rightly_Divided Another thing which is really annoying by now is the battery life... just on the way to work (30 minutes) I lose around 20% of battery. How is your experience?
when curved edges were new: curved edges make your each of your sides a millimeter narrower! now: ignore the 2mm extra, the display is flat! before you say it's only 1 mm narrower than s23U, I'm comparing it to the Note 10+. s20U and s21U were even narrower, but that is in part due to the taller aspect ratio and equal diagonal. Note 10+ even had a more width-biased aspect ratio...
So I ordered the Samsung Ultra 24 and I got an email that my payment has been confirmed and it will be delivered to my house on the 31st of this month but my question is I have waited 24 hours and got no tracking number yet is this normal do people usually wait days to get a tracking number?

I enjoyed the fold 4 greatly, but I think I'm switching to the ultra 24, fold 5 is too expensive and I'm always in my laptop, gaming in a cellphone is not for me.
The titanium makes the iPhone lighter because titanium is lighter than the stainless steel that Apple was using for their pro model iPhones. But titanium is actually heavier than the aluminum that Samsung has been using.
Feeling of weight s not just in numbers. There are lot of other things. I did side by side testing and the s24 ultra is indeed feeling lighter n better to hold
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that the S23 great battery, fast gen 2 chip, and still a great camera set. So the extra 100 price on the 24 ultra is just bad. Trade in deal now are 100 less compared to before. I got $1000 off my S23U making what i had to pay only $200. This year the deals are worse and samsung bumped up the price. That’s a big no for me. So now trade is only $700 off. So im sticking with my S23 U green until maybe the S30U or something. But for me the S23U has been nothing but the best daily driver I’ve had.
@shijou2867 I'll get 5 to 6 so that's good enough for me. Then security updates after for mpre years Samsung supports there ultra devices longer then others.
The flat screen is cool I like that the most the but the s23 ultra screen use was flat enough for me last time I REALLY complained about curved screens was around the note 10 plus and note 20 ultra but flatter is always better
Not if you already have a phone in good condition with several more years of upgrade left. Other than that I agree buy it because you like it not cuz it's a value that depends.
@tomy8339 i have my trusty s20 ultra as a secondary device, still good enough battery life so yeah nothing wrong there, and it's pretty inexpensive swap battery itself
Samsung Australia gave me $150 eVoucher for purchasing the S24 Ultra 1TB. I used the eVoucher to get $150 off the Tab S9 Ultra 1TB tablet. I also purchased the 45W power adapter for the tablet. I paid using PayPal. Total amount was $5,267 (Australian dollars). Arriving on 30th at our house. Gonna have to look on our outdoor home security cameras to make sure no one steals the items.
So used to gestures at this point. Ik the AI features works for the gesture as well but changing it to on screen buttons is definitively not something i would do

How to swap out eco system. To simply switch phone, simple & cheap from iPhone 15 Pro, cost little. However, to do so I need replacement of 6 air tags, so that’s 6 smart tags. Then there’s watch, I’d need to get a Galaxy Watch. To my Mac & iPad, I won’t get message alerts for example. I would want case & tempered glass. Also & I take this from my Galaxy S10 Plus experience but may be different now, I get in car with my iPhone, start car & music plays from my Apple Music. Can this do same from RUclips music? Good. I am now totally happy that i got the Vivo X100 pro.
For half the price vs this S24 ultra. Whew. I though i was missing 80%. But not that much.
Samsung essentially released the same phone as last year, but with a flat display and titanium frame. Not exactly groundbreaking for a new flagship.
Yeah, the iphone 15 got USB C, that was groundbreaking.
Bit like apple adding features that are 7 years old 😅
Gone are the days when they went ham with camera upgrades pre-S10.
You want what lol literally all change with only design who rested.I don't know what you want lol.
@@JohnSmith-ef8nrthats so funny
So true.. if I can I would upgrade my older phone to this.. not everyone is using latest flagship and every year wan to upgrade..
cant wait for mine to arrive. upgrading from samsung S10 :)) going with the titanium black
I think you have the best approach on reviews.
The "I like turtles"....the color, review?!
how does the camera compare to Samsung Galaxy S23? I just had my S21stolen on vacation and need to replace it, is it worth the money to get the S24? I want it as a camera for travelling and zoom for filming video at football matches and concerts...
I got the gray 1tb Ultra. Arrives on Valentines Day. Can't wait
U forgot to mention the 5 AI upgrades.
@@Michael-oo5gq for the price of iPhones, more could come with the phone than just the necessities and this is what Samsung provides.
@@justinporter6113 Yep and that is true indeed.
But what would actually come into your Mind that they should add? So that you would buy it?
(Besides 120hz)
Because overall its a great Phone.
Not upgrading to the Ultra unless they get rid of the sharp corner...
EDIT: Yeah I know a case can reduce how sharp the corner is, but I want it rounded like the Plus. More comfortable to use.
Agree
Wouldn't getting a soft case solve the problem though?
Hopefully they remove the sharp edges Next year.
@@MrRanjodh26exactly who runs around with a 1300 dollar phone with no case?! 😂 People find anything to complain about, I didn't even notice the sharp corners cuz of my case.
I put a case on it anyway, so doesn't really matter to me
I've ordered the S24 Ultra & I'm hoping the pic quality is as good as my pixel 8 Pro, I find the pics too dark and find myself adjusting every pic on 8 Pro. Hope S24 Ultra lives up to the hype! ❤
Nothing has changed, I'd just wait for next year 😅! Nice video Brother!
Pretty balance and unbias review, always love watching your reviews. Flat screen is an upgrade.
@@GIJohn1994 True. I didn't think about the security updates
@@Rightly_Divided Another thing which is really annoying by now is the battery life... just on the way to work (30 minutes) I lose around 20% of battery. How is your experience?
@@GIJohn1994 mine lasts for the whole day still if I don't use it constantly. But thats just me. I also have optimized and adjusted settings
That screen looks amazing.
Upgrading from the s21 ultra, always wanted a Note phone and while this isn't called that it is essentially a successor to the Note
I BOUGHT 4 SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD PHONES AND ALL 4 HAD COMPLAINTS WHEN I UPDATED THE SOFTWARE AND ONE COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING
Still in love with my note 10, idk if i can give it up
My S22U is still going strong but damn i want this one
Traded in my s23 ultra 256gb for s24 ultra 512gb / 12 gb ram, free galaxy watch 6, kept my original contract and price, so got a tab s9 ultra to.
The s24 ultra is the goat of all android phones i am loving using my own s24 ultra
when curved edges were new: curved edges make your each of your sides a millimeter narrower!
now: ignore the 2mm extra, the display is flat!
before you say it's only 1 mm narrower than s23U, I'm comparing it to the Note 10+.
s20U and s21U were even narrower, but that is in part due to the taller aspect ratio and equal diagonal.
Note 10+ even had a more width-biased aspect ratio...
i pre orded the s24 ultra and i have a note 9 since 2019 the upgrade will be huge
So I ordered the Samsung Ultra 24 and I got an email that my payment has been confirmed and it will be delivered to my house on the 31st of this month but my question is
I have waited 24 hours and got no tracking number yet is this normal
do people usually wait days to get a tracking number?
You get a tracking number when it's couriered not when it's ordered
Im so getting one already.. pre order one and can't wait to get hehe.. it's been 5 years i use vivo v17 pro here.. it's time for me to upgrade new phone.. i love the feature.. i don't need to go google translate and see what my foreigner friend text me..
I enjoyed the fold 4 greatly, but I think I'm switching to the ultra 24, fold 5 is too expensive and I'm always in my laptop, gaming in a cellphone is not for me.
I'm upgrading from the S10+, this should be a good upgrade!
Hot take : s23 ultra still feels like a complete all rounder compared to s24 ultra.
I have a perfectly working S8 changed the batery once since release, going to finaly upgrade to the S24 Ultra 1gb hopefuly also lasts 5 years.
You mean 1tb? Why not 512gb?
@@jokast8861 too small of a price diference
It's like Xperia Z from Samsung. I love it.
Upgrading to the S24U from my Note 10+. Hope its worth it, finally decided to pull the trigger!
You ll notice the difference
You ll notice the difference
Man you'll be absolutely mesmerized by its performance
The titanium makes the iPhone lighter because titanium is lighter than the stainless steel that Apple was using for their pro model iPhones. But titanium is actually heavier than the aluminum that Samsung has been using.
How bad are corners digging into your palm, especially when using it one handed?
Hi @limreviews, hope all is well... can I ask what phone works best for you as your daily driver please? Torn between a few at the moment. Thank you
Feeling of weight s not just in numbers. There are lot of other things. I did side by side testing and the s24 ultra is indeed feeling lighter n better to hold
Same view as me
Looks fab jist cant decide whether to upgrade ftom pixel 6 pro to this or wait for s25?
Finally a flat edge in ultra 👏👏👏🙏😍 now i know what i buy now 😊
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that the S23 great battery, fast gen 2 chip, and still a great camera set. But for me the S23U has been nothing but the best daily driver I’ve had.
does s23u also get 7 yrs of update?
@shijou2867 I'll get 5 to 6 so that's good enough for me. Then security updates after for mpre years Samsung supports there ultra devices longer then others.
@shijou2867 the ai samsumg has in mind is going to be a payed service. Will come to the s23 ultra is confirmed
The flat screen is cool I like that the most the but the s23 ultra screen use was flat enough for me last time I REALLY complained about curved screens was around the note 10 plus and note 20 ultra but flatter is always better
Watching this on my S10+ that still works as new lol
The 7 years alone is a reason to upgrade gives more value and resell value to the device
Resale value are you joking 😂😂
@@VishnuPrasad-u5n a phone with 3 years of software is less appealing than 7 years
Not if you already have a phone in good condition with several more years of upgrade left. Other than that I agree buy it because you like it not cuz it's a value that depends.
Good luck with battery life after 3 years. 😅
@tomy8339 i have my trusty s20 ultra as a secondary device, still good enough battery life so yeah nothing wrong there, and it's pretty inexpensive swap battery itself
i thought that the 7 year OS update was timely now that cybersecurity is a huge topic
How can someone sound Nigerian and Chinese at the same time wow
Your channel is very good. Continue to elevate
So used to gestures at this point. Ik the AI features works for the gesture as well but changing it to on screen buttons is definitively not something i would do
They work with gestures too you just gotta hold down the bottom bar
Samsung created the curve screen in galaxy edge ,now it goes back to the flat screen
Also the flat display is best move from Samsung, more durable design together with titanium and armor gorilla
How's the speaker quality compared to s23 ultra? Any improvement or same.
I know its a 'Note' but I really do hate the sharp edges of the Ultra series. I still have the S21 and its so comfortable in my hand. I dont want to sacrifice specs for form factor.
This is the year of the Ai features. 😎💯💪🏿👍🏿
I currently using note 8, is time to upgrade to S24 ultra 😂 nice review by the way..
Nice phone though but do you guys think the s25 may have a design change or any drastic changes in terms of battery, processor and camera?
going from my Note 20 to the s24 ultra should be a nice upgrade
At first quick glimpse, I thought theres a huge black spider on your shoes bro :D
Imagine the value of this used phone price drop by 35% to 40% after 7 months of usage.
It's funny how he said he doesn't use the S-pen like how??🙄
Fantastic and very honest video; thank you for the review- have placed a pre order- trading My s23 ultra dual Sim 1tb. I am getting this one just for the AI and the fact that it will help with tasks. Else I would kept the s23 ultra. I have ordered the blue. Let see. Else UI 6.0 app drawer or whatever they required a better way of shorting apps. I can't find my apps... anyone else has this issue?
Finally time to upgrade with the extra storage offer from my stalwart Note 20 Ultra 5G. But the price!!!!!!!!!
I'm making the move from a Note 20 Ultra to this S24 Ultra. It looks like I made the right move.
should I upgrade my s5 right now or wait for s25ultra, because it has minimal upgrade from s24ultra tbh..
I remember I had to download all to Samsung music to get it to work.
Advice & tips appreciated. 👍
