    I wore this tape OUT, in my car's stereo in the late 80s, haha, specifically for this song too. Superior metal, then & now, all of it: fantastic riffs, driving beat, blistering solo that made sense & moved you, and amazing vocals of course. Their best song ever in my opinion: the music and lyrics. I'm an old school metalhead, so I listened to all of it back then, and Stryper stood up with the best of 'em -- and bonus, are Christian like me. But if they weren't talented, they wouldn't have succeeded as much as they have in the music business, period, and landed tour gigs with other, big name, non-Christian bands over the years as well.

      Yes! As much as I think To Hell With The Devil and a lot of their other very popular songs are great, Soldiers Under Command has remained my favorite since I've heard it. Stryper is an incredibly talented band.

    Stryper is one of the few bands from back in the day that are still just as good today as they were back then. Have you heard any of their recent stuff? React to their song Yahweh sometime.

    I thumbs up before even watching. I commented after watching. I wasn’t disappointed! Stryper is without a doubt one of the greatest metal bands out there. Check out “make love great again”, “do unto others”, and “more than a man”….absolute BANGERS
    Some feedback, like others have said, is point out parts you like and just let it go naturally. If there’s something that doesn’t vibe with you, let that out there too!

    These guys are awesome. The singer (Michael Sweet) is still singing just as good (if not better) than he was 35 years ago.
    For another old track, check out "To Hell with the Devil" and for something new, check out "The Valley" or "Blood From Above" (Not sure what you have or haven't heard)
    For another martial theme, check out "Marching into Battle"

    • @Metal777

    Easily one of Stryper's best songs. Still, to date. Their newer stuff has gone much, much harder and edgy. But somehow still doesn't have the rawness of Soldiers Under Command. One of my favorite metal bands, still, today. Michael Sweet on vocals - as you said, is amazing. Robert Sweet, the drummer - the dude looks so happy to drum - I mean, he's ALWAYS all in. Oz Fox on guitar is amazing, and he is also a great singer and back up singer himself. Tim Gaines was on bass, during this time - he would go on to leave the band. Their new bass player is freaking incredible as well. Fortunate to see Stryper live many times now! Keep rocking! I need to surf your channel - (came to it by it on the side, so checked it out) - but not sure what music you check out, but if you're open to all music - SAVATAGE "Hall of the Mountain King" (the song, or the album) is flawless.

    Just posted on your discord but thought I would do it here as well. Silent Planet, Just released a new video this morning. The song is called "Terminal".
    Definitely a slower softer song for them but I thought it was excellent and really liked it. Also really good video and lyrics. I think this would be great for a reaction! Definitely worth reading the lyrics before watching the video imhop. A lot of their stuff I don't care for because it's much harder than what I prefer but this is really good actually and quite deep as well. So wanted to share ASAP. Thanks.

      @@Metal777 Hummm... I'm not familiar with the "recent stuff" you are referring to. I figured that they were fine to react to just as a normal secular band. I guess I'll have to Google and see if I can find any kind of controversy or something..
      By the way congrats on 400 subs!
      Hope it's not too long before you post another reaction. I guess you have plenty lined up....

    I finally get your name now. Pretty clever wordplay on metal's usual "satanic" number, 666. I'm always glad to meet a fellow Christian metalhead! Christian metal got me into metal. Started with Demon Hunter, As I Lay Dying, For Today and then moved onto any and every type of metal (even black!). I loved how, unlike most reactors, you thoroughly took your time and listened to the song before commenting on it. Cheers dude! It's the guy from your "The Conjurer" lyric video--who said I'd check you out--by the way.

      @@Metal777 You're welcome! Just out of curiosity, do you ever react to secular bands tackling Religious topics (e.g. Blind Guardian's "Another Holy War" Sabaton's "The Carolean's Prayer")? I know reactor channels primarily survive by having a niche and your niche is Christian Metal, but I think it would be cool to hear your opinion, as a Christian, on how they tackle a sacred topic. Blind Guardian's made up of several ex-Christians.

    • @Metal777
      @Metal777  2 года назад +1

      That's a really good idea, I've been thinking about reacting to secular stuff from a Christian perspective for a while actually! I think that Blind Guardian song could be really interesting to talk about/react to!

    • @MrEgofreak
      @MrEgofreak 2 года назад +1

      @@Metal777 It would provide a unique perspective I think. Their song "Punishment Divine" would be a good one to react to too. Having studied a bit of Nietzchean philosophy, I find that one particularly interesting to analyze/dissect myself.

      @@Metal777 novella was a pop metal rock band. Their musicianship was outstanding though along with the songwriting. May not be your bag, but if you like that sound, probably the most underrated band in christian music history in my opinion. Thei first album, one big sky is epic. Lots of tension and release. I love it. If you like that sound, also check out Shout's album "in your face", Guardian's "fire and love" or "miracle mile". For great guitar work, check out "Angelica" with guitar wizard Dennis Cameron. You also can't go wrong with Barren Cross "king of kings", "state of control, killers of the unborn, out of time, stage of intensity, rattle your cage, the unsuspecting... Bloodgood was a classic band as well. Whitecrosswith guitar wizard Rex Carroll. Anyway happy listening!

    I think you can improve your reaction videos by specifically pointing out what you like about certain parts more often. You already did that with the guitar solo (calling it "fitting"). I know this is harder to do than just saying that you like a certain part.
    But at least in my opinion it makes a reaction video more interesting and also deepens your experience.
    You´d probably have to stop a lot in order to be able to do that though. That was at least my experience as I´ve tested my advice on myself.
    Even as a musician you can´t always put your finger on those things quickly (or at all).
    I´m speaking of things as indiviual parts complementing or contrasting each other very well or an idea sounding very fresh and out of the box.

    If you get any grief about Christian metal from Christians, then this song is for you. It is from the Christian heavy metal band, Barnabas. They are a old school 1980's metal band. The guitar player is a man by the name of Brian Belew. On vocals is Wendy Jo Mann. The song is called "Follow You Up". I have included a youtube link for you.
