Interesting. I didn't know it was that easy! I watched another person on here swap out the whole unit with a new OEM one and he had to mess around in FORscan and fiddle with settings to make it work. I'll have to keep an eye out for one for mine. I imagine it'll be harder to find since my 23 maverick has the heated seats and steering wheel buttons on there as well.
I was going to say it would have been easier to just swap the vents but then I heard you say there were scratches on the panel. I just did the swap on my 23 XLT hybrid Mav. Found a panel on ebay from a 22 mav XL hybrid.
Hi and great video. Thanks for sharing. Question? I watched another video and he had to do forescan on his lariat. Is that required or is it as simple as what you just did? Or are unsure? Thanks ahead of time
Heartland Rebuilds, I wonder if Ford or an aftermarket supplier will offer the digital temp knob in the future along with the ribbon? Instead of having to buy the electronic board. This digital knob would make for a nice upgrade.
If only that would work. There are some resistors and the connector missing from the board. It's cheap enough, at least for now, to just get one from a 2022 Maverick. It might also work from another similar vehicle, like an Escape, Bronco Sport, or Ecosport.
You can. There's a write up online. You'll need the copilot 360 taillight package, then front radar sensor/bracket, some wiring. It's a lot of work for minimal gain.
@@HeartlandRebuilds was looking into it last night seem really the hardest part is getting the forscan to work imo the rest is just running a wire and speed sensor like you said and I do have the 360 pilot thank God but honestly would of paid for the lariat hading fully understand the difference between everything now
thank you for the video, i just did the same thing to my mav knowing how easy it is . what a small but awesome upgrade.
Super easy upgrade👍

They're floating around on eBay, probably harder to find since you need the luxury package option.

Nice. They shouldn't have dropped the display. It barely costs them anything.

I didn't use Forscan. It should just be a swap and done.
How does the board come out? Does it just lay there? Clips? Thanks

Awesome
Thanks!
I have a ‘23 XLT but my knob does not have a digital read out.
Ford dropped the digital temperature knob for 2023. They blamed it on parts availability, but never added it back in.
@@HeartlandRebuildswhat’s the part number for the digital knob?
Question can you add adaptive cruise control to the XLT lux package?
You can. There's a write up online. You'll need the copilot 360 taillight package, then front radar sensor/bracket, some wiring. It's a lot of work for minimal gain.

Makes me wonder if dual climate control is already in place and just needs to be unlocked lol
No kidding. I'm sure there's some wiring to be added in and another motor for the blend door. Too much work.
@@HeartlandRebuilds lol funny after seeing these mod videos I'm like why buy the upgrade package 😆
Did the ribbon snap into the board?
The ribbon on the digital temp knob goes to the flip up/down mount to the board.
Couldn't you have just swapped the entire bottom piece and not just the knob? Or did i missed something?
I could have, but the one from the salvage yard was scratched up.
Huh that doesn't look like chicken cam
Chicken cam is taking longer than anticipated.
Im such a dumbass. I bought this without realizing this isnt the Lux version. No provisions for heated seats/steering wheel.
Yeah, if you have lux package you'll need to find one with those buttons
Or you can just leave your truck alone and it will work just fine
I could, but where's the fun in that?
