Totally agree. The Seamasters from 1995 - 2012 or so were just the best, and in my mind the better choice compared to the modern chunky monkies. I'm selling my Goldeneye 2541.80, but anyone looking for a Seamaster should DEFINITELY buy the bond era ones.... sword hands are stunning. Also the "electric blue" version of this watch, with the steel bezel kicks butt- 2255.80

If Omega ever released an updated 165.024 with the big triangle at 12 I’d sell my Submariner and run to the Omega AD!

I own this Automatic movement watch & your right it is special, I would never sell it , & I consider myself very lucky to have picked it up for 2k in excellent condition with a recent Omega service & new clasp fitted

Try typing in 2254. No dot between the 22 and the 54.
Just had a similar generation Planet Ocean back from Omega US. It took 2.5 months. Still earlier than why the Swatch parts portal said it would be. Point being, it may be back sooner than you think.

Totally agree! Just serviced mine for the second time in 12 years. So I am also one of the believers. Its one Omega, despite the following, that they won’t bring back im afraid. May be It’s for the best, they probably would have maked it to thick and to expensive.

I have exactly the same watch and love it..the best looking Seamaster professional out there with beautiful sword hands not the ugly skeleton hands of later models
I don't think I would ever get a service done by Omega for this exact reason..I'm lucky to have a watch repairer who is a registered Omega repairer in my home city of Portsmouth and I got mine serviced and got it back within 2 weeks 👍👍

OK. It’s a 2254.50 not a 22.54.50, (see the difference?), so that might be why it doesn’t show up online for you.
    And it’s a 41mm watch, not 44mm.
Completely agree with you on the sword hands. It’s the #1 reason I don’t own a later version. In fact, all of my Omegas are mid-2000 models. (Planet Ocean, Aqua Terra, and 300M.) They are classics.

totally agree the 2254 is one of the best divers out there by far, I was lucky to get a used one in A+ condition. It has great lume better than most of its time, it has great aesthetics and it looks great on any strap. Haven't serviced it yet after a few years of use on and off still keeping great time but I will take your warning for sure. Omega service will not be my choice... 6 months it's too much!!

I've had my Seamaster 300 2254 for almost 20 years. It has never been serviced and still run at 1-1.5 seconds fast per day. I love its bracelet but usually wear it on a $75 rubber integrated strap that looks as good as the Omega strap that costs $400 or so and fits into the watch body perfectly with no space.

Where did you get the integrated rubber strap from?

Great point about service cost prices, I love the 36mm version of this. Maybe a future purchase but I must keep in mind any potential extra costs! Great video as always.

I’m not sure why but Omega seem to have a six month turnaround on servicing from initial receipt of a watch at present which is much longer than most brands. That said, the wait will make the final wearing of the 2254 so worth it. Sorry for your recent loss and keep up the great content.

Hello Brandon, my first time on your channel and it's great. You are correct, I had a 2531.80 Bond watch and also the 2255.80 with the electric blue dial. I decided to sell one of them to reduce my collection. As much as I loved the 1994 Bond watch I sold it and kept my 2255.80 electric blue. I have tried very hard to like and purchased the 2018 seamaster but just can't. Other then the new movement everything about it in my eyes is wrong. My 2255.80 will go to my grave with me hopefully in a long time.

Brendan, might be worth trying to find an independent accredited omega watchmaker. Generally turn around times are a lot quicker
