I have done this in the past. I paid £1600 for an ETA Black Bay with the Rose and smiley face a few years back. It came on leather, so ended up paying an extra £650 for the bracelet then a further £300 for a service. I then sold it on at a loss, as I never really connected with it. Crazy watch OCD. Definitely an affliction and an expensive one at that. At least you know you will have the perfect watch when it comes back. Just don’t sell it because you’ll lose the shirt off your back.
I have both in-house and smiley Tudors and the in-house movement is in my opinion way better than the smiley. Almost perfect accuracy and a 70 hour reserve to boot.

Have just purchased a 2008 2254. Condition looks good, but last services 8y ago. Arrives tomorrow. How long did Omega take to return your piece after service? Out of interest, what made you decide to have it serviced by Omega vs local watchmaker?

I don't see why the snobbery about lab grown diamonds. Surely a diamond is a diamond wherever it comes from? Frankly, i'd rather my diamond was grown in a lab instead of being stolen from Africa by greedy companies.

I was quoted 10-12 weeks for a warranty job on my Seamaster. I received it back in 7 weeks!
