    That took me back to being a young boy in the early 1970s. I was home from school with flu but i had this kit from a local shop. I remember the smell of the paint due to my sinuses being sensitive i guess. Of course my effort was nothing compared to this, but thanks for jogging my memory 👍

    For a kit that old, are those the original decals? They haven’t yellowed at all!

    • @baranypisti
      @baranypisti  7 месяцев назад +1

      The tricolor and the number 2 on the tail are original. They were yellowed, but a few days on a sunny window made them white again.

      @@baranypisti I never heard of this before, leaving yellowed decals in the sun can turn them back!?

    • @baranypisti
      @baranypisti  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes. I asked for help with the yellow decals in the Heller Appreciation facebook group. They suggest me that method. Place the decals in a plastic bag. Stick it to a sunny window for a few days. It will turn white. The yellowing was caused by the carrier paper. So if you remove the decal from the paper, it should stay white. Time will tell. They still white after a year.

    What paints were used for this kit? Especially The main green color and the paints used for French roundel colors

    • @baranypisti
      @baranypisti  6 месяцев назад +1

      I'm using Gunze Aqueous paints. I mix the colors when needed. The green is a mix of green and a hint of blue. The roundel colors (H3 red and H5 blue) were lightened with white to match the decals.

    You do not show the technique for fitting the finest wires. Why noy?

      You're right. I tried to record it but the footage was not usable. Btw I was using thin fishing line and CA glue.
