It's scary to think that this could happen again and that this could happen to my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Think about that and it is possible if we dont step up and stop it now. It has been proven many times that history does repeat itself because we the people allow it. We don't think so we end up repeating history proving we didn't learn anything from the Holocaust the first time. Watch what's going around us now and ask do we want to make the same mistakes, but this time it affects our own that are the very closest to us.

Forgetting the past means that we're doomed to repeat it if we don't learn from it. I keep watching videos like this one in order to remind myself about what we can do to each other when hate breeds hate to the point that it brings about dictatorship, concentration camps, nights of broken glass, war crimes that are committed in other countries by one particular military, etc. We're all responsible for our individual actions every single day. If we do something wrong, we have to own up to it and make the proper amends whenever necessary except when to do so would injure us or the person/people we're making amends to.

A beautiful story of forgiveness and remembrance. So important to hear these voices right now especially. People are forgetting the Holocaust and the encampments at the colleges and universities is a horrific development. Hamas wants the extermination of the Jews and this hideous ideology has spread to the West.

I really wanted to like this documentary. It's a very interesting perspective from people who were there and their descendents looking for explanations. But I what I really began to feel, is that these 90 year olds were being exploited. Both were clear that they had been devastated and in their own ways, needed to move on. Yet, their children are forcing them to relive the terrors now at their advanced age so THEY can feel better? I'm sorry. I find this one of the most appalling documentaries I've ever seen when it comes to emotional manipulation of the elderly. If you must watch, take many breaks. It's very plodding and offers little hope or relief.

All of this sucks we should put the past in the past. It's like me starting out going so they had my savior on the cross and the Jews were demanding his death. But I'm not saying that. I'm sorry dragging this up helps no one. Great way to make people feel sad and remember the past. I feel good when I hear all the proceeds are going to go to Jewish Holocaust Charities but I doubt that. Otherwise it comes down to the almighty dollar again😢
