Хорошая работа! Отличный самолёт!
Good work! Perfect aircraft! :)
A very nice build indeed 👍
Wait a minute, what kind of sprue cutter was that? Wait a minute, what kind of saw was that? Wait a minute, what a great wee build, thanks for sharing Jason got one in the stash and its time I got summit on the Spanish Civil War pages - hope you have a good Telford Sir.
Very nice. Nice to see something different.
Thank you, building my favorit plane : )
Great result, Jason. Looks mighty fine to me ! ;-)
Please allow me to give some tips and comments.
2:30 - I have lots of these drills, too. Found them really cheap. Still, I treat them like precious porcelain, because they are very brittle. The bigger ones (0.5mm and bigger) are rellatively sturdy, but the smaller ones snap, just looking at them........
I found out that I am better off with the cheaper and far more flexible spiral drills. Take a short end of bamboo stick ( 3 x 50 mm), drill a hole with the drill you need, roughen the round end with a file and secure it with a drop of super glue into the stick. Easy and cheap to make and they surely won't break as easy as those expensive ones in the video.
Also, ask you dentist to collect some drill bits for you. These drill bits are - ofcourse - of super high quality and are made of VERY tough steel !!! I have hundreds, of many different shapes and sizes. For free. For a dentist they are one time use. The client has payed for them already... (!!) and the dentist will only throw them away. DO MAKE SURE he (or you) cleans them with strong chemicals since they have been used on human teeth !! Soak them in Isopropyl alcohol for an hour. Or overnight.
Some of mine are over 20 years old and are still very sharp !! (the drill bits.......not my teeth........)
7:33 - try to find a roll (or left-over) of self-adhesive aluminium tape. One roll will last a lifetime. Cut the tape with scissors for a sharp edge. Can be cut with a knife against a steel ruler, but you will need to develop a special technique to avoid rough edges..... The end result, however, is VERY nice ! Looks like real metal because it IS real metal !
Cheers.
Lovely looking Polly, nice job, Jason 👍🙂🍺🍺
...buying myself one Polikarpov I-16...awesome subject...
Beautiful work, congratulations!!
It is not documented a unit of I-16 in FARE (Fuerzas Aéreas de la República Española) with that color scheme (too much red in it!), I have never been able to find a photo of the subject although it appears in profiles of several books, I think it is pure invention of some profiles illustrator. That does not detract from the quality of work, which is excellent. The pilot is fine, but the colors aren't correct :the majority of Republican pilots wore a two-piece dark leather suit, like the aviators of the URSS of the time (the equipment was supplied with the plane). It can be seen in all the photos of that era.
Greetings from Barcelona.
Love it👍 I’m awaiting delivery of a zvezda 1/144 rat! What have i done😯😂😂😂 Thanks for the great content👍 stay safe🍺🍺🍺
Excellent model!!! nice job
Very nice nice, the figure looks awesome, great work
It's a Polikarpov I-16, what's not to like 👍
very nice i might just give it a go
Very nice result! Looks really good! ;)
well done.
nice model
nice well done
Very nice mate! 😳👍
The hardest bit would have been removing the cockpit access hatch. but you didn't show it. Why not?
A beautiful build you have here!
I see, you use both trumpeter and tamiya scribers, for what purposes you use each one of them? I find tamiya's one to be pretty agressive on plastic, and not very comfortable to work with, would you recommend trumpeter's scriber for regular scribing works?
Thank you in advance! :)
i built the i-16 typ 24 a couple of months ago and ended up in the trash can because of a series of bad mistakes... i am going to try it again now. How did you do the open door with PE? it is so thin, and from what i see, it looks you used something else als "padding" maybe? did you scratch-build something?
Nice build, did you cut the cockpit floor back because it was interfering with the interior detail ? ( my current issue!)
High pitched scream*
I'm trying to place your accent, where in the UK are you from?
Haha! Somerset where all we drive is tractors! 😝 In all seriousness I try to hide the country twang but it pops through quite often! Thanks for watching 👍
