Where does Dr. Dre stand in all of this? Just listen to - "I need a doctor" and you'll have your answer. I think Dre choosing to sign Em has ALWAYS bothered Snoop.
It did, even though Snoop already left Dre to get signed by Master P in the same year. But that's the thing. Dre was pretty much falling back then and Snoop left him like a snitch since he had nothing more to gain. Then Dre chose to sign that "white boy" from Detroid while everyone, including Snoop, told Dre not to. He felt betrayed although he was the literal dog biting the hand that fed him. Snoop probably, in his heart of hearts, wanted Dre to go down and fail for what he thought was a poor decision. But Dre and Em turned out to be the perfect team when it came to music AND personality. Just listen to what Dre said about him first meeting Marshall. They went into the booth and practically made half an albun THAT NIGHT. Snoop is petty about that...there isn't even a question that he is. But he makes it look like Dre "saved" Eminem. While that has it's truth to it, it is highly unlikely that Em would have never enter the industry. Dre literally said "We HAVE TO sign this boy or else someone else will." Em would have been a big fish in the lake regardless of who would have signed him. so while "Dre saved Em" is correct...it is even more true the other way around. And the Bond of these two became way more than that. To Dre Em is not only his successor but more of a Son. Snoop was never looked at by Dre like that...never trusted like that...never treated like that. The type of success Em had and still has is also a factor. But as you said...Dre practically already did chose his side and he will repeat to chose Em over Snoop as many times as his lungs will make him able to. And snoop...takes offense to that. because deep down...he is the same as Lord Jamar. A petty ol' racist

@@rjpompa2678 you're correct; those words were said in the context of Dre growing up in an environment with a lot of racism towards blacks. So all of them became a tight group of friends. Upon meeting Em, he learned some of his friends had the same issue. Not being able to stand another's skin color - so he kinda cooled off with his relationship with those guys (might even include Snoop to a certain extent I guess).

I hold Marshall in high regard for his talent and uniqueness, the same way I have such a regard for Little Brother, Murs, Primo, and 9th Wonder in their respective arts. I think what Kxng Crooked partially refers to is an earlier video where he talks about a pattern in the past few years where people are trying to discredit/take away Ems impact of the game (hip-hop), and that the racial war probably will include more people (for instance the people who tend to publically bad-mouth Eminem, such as The Breakfast club, Joe Budden, Tyler da Creator etc).
