Realtime Facial Animations (iClone AccuLips & Blender Eevee)

- Today let's have a look at something I've always wanted to figure out and that's facial animations and lipsync! iClone now offers a great AccuLips tool, to generate facial and lip movement from your voice clips - and with the other tools the software provides, I was able to finish up my very first facial lip sync animation in a matter of hours!

Amazing as always! Could you also show us how to bring alembic from iclone to blender? While the character animations are easy to export, hair and cloth are kinda confusing!!
Holy hell Martin, I've seen plenty of these iphone facial capture videos now, but your results are by far the best. Even better than what the iClone developers put together themselves.
The lip sync is near flawless. How much time did you have to spend cleaning up the original capture?

Hi Martin, I’ve recently discovered the world of 3d modelling, blender and animating through your videos and others, and have really become interested delving into this type of stuff. Although I’m not sure what setup I would need to create projects and animations like these, like what type of PC would I need? Would a iMac be sufficient or would I need something more powerful and suited to the specific programs like Blender, Character creator etc?
This was very informative. Basically end to end pipeline. Do you have Fiverr or an Upwork profile? I ask so you can critique on customers workflows.

So how much is the motion capture app for the iphone? Great tut btw...great ideas for compositing. And yeah, blender playback sux! That is why I have to redo animation sometimes cuz I can't really see it in real time...maybe time to go to Unreal 5?

One question tho, how did you rig the armour, did you do it in Blender?
How did you get the armor fitted to the body and for it to move with the animation?
When you import the Iclone character with the Acculips...the audio track does not come in automatically pleas explain how to sync the audio with the lip movements in Blender

How did you make the armor for the characters if i may ask. I tend to model all of my medieval armors in Blender by hand and it's quite time consuming since it needs to fit their body well.

Just learn *Unreal Engine* (for Real time rendering), and you will have the perfect workflow for an Independent filmmaker 👍🏼
Got to get skingen premium. The 4in1 bundle has also very powerful other tools like human anatomy makeup sfx etc. I am really sick of blender character process, especially rigging issues.
So what do you think about unreal engine?
How did you get the voice sync to export over to blender with the FBX? I lose the voice over when I move to blender.. Unless I have to re-sync the words with the lips again.
I did not export it, I added it back in Premiere ;-)

If you have character creator 4, head shot and iclone, I dont understand why you would need to use Blender. I'm thinking about getting the Reallusion stuff, but am trying to be sure It does everything without having to learn a whole different program.
You can’t model, simulate particles, use advanced shading, geometry nodes and much more that Blender offers.
Hi. Is there any specific reason that you render it in Eevee instead of with Iclone?
Hi, I use Blender as my main 3D tool and have all the scenes set up there :-) Its just a preference.

it has separate tracks in iClone, so it can be recorded and edited separately…

Does iclone 7 come with acculips?
Yes. Live Face, the better facial mocap, is a paid plugin
Why can't we do that with Android phone 😒
So why bother with Blender at all? Why not just complete the project in iClone?
You could learn that, I think. I myself am proficient in rendering with Blender, and all my non-human assets are made there, so I did not want to swap tools.
