So, tell me the difference between that and: ordering someone else to design a map ordering someone else to design some objects Having a full team of people to make you rigged characters and animations Having a ton of animators working on every single frame of a movie. render. why would he, on his own. not use "assets" which to him is basically getting something from another teammember. 10:35 I like how whoever did this added an antique vase from Egypt, not Rome- and like, that coasted a lot of fucking money and only the Top Elite could afford it, on a peasant village that was really well thought
showing the awkwardness of the knight as he walks by the boy, was the funniest thing ever but so true. even in my stop motion animations that happens. in my most recent one, there's a lego man just laying dead on the other side of the set cus i thought i was going to use it, but you never see it

>Me, clicking the like button hoping it helps.
the "animate only stuff you need" (with the knight....something-ing while pushing away the boy) reminds me of what you see if you force 3rd person cam in Mirror's Edge; check the GDQ speedrun i think
*_Lets aprecciate the fact that editing this video was also really hard._*
21:31 I'm sorry he's just walking so casually like he was the one that slaughtered the village lmao
LMAO EXACTLY
he looks abit proud
Guess I know what to do with my two weeks of quarantine...

Yup I've started learning blender out of boredom.
AllergicTeen we should all make a multi animator project within two weeks 😮
@@rohanimations I love that idea!
Spend a bunch of money?
Do you boo
Was surprisingly well done for the time investment- your skill clearly shows. That's the part that takes the longest.
looking back on this video, i kinda have the feeling this was around the time your channel began to forge a new, independent direction (in addition to retaining the high quality documentary style) that intersected with the bargain bin cinematic universe idea into your current slew of active projects. very cool to look back on.
I also want to thank you because if I remember right, this video was just before semester-end that year, and coupled with the 2020 lockdown I had little else to do. I think the energy and almost creative madness of this video (to just reach out and try *something*) and the Exigency video really inspired me and led me to apply for a small writing gig. It fell through eventually but I did finish writing most of it, and it kind of reignited my individual creativity and helped me continue solo when my usual creative pursuits from pre-covid fell off due to restrictions in 2020 and 2021. so, thank you for that!

For us, Austin. For us. Thank you.
Ah yes I remember that time when Rome was attacked by an army of Demogorgons
What happened lord Ceasar
You explained exactly what not to add or work too much when animating to make a movie. I love your tutorial, very well explained, very informative, and invigorating for those who are giving up in creating an animated video in a short period of time. Thumbs up. Keep it up.
This is the best video I have seen in very long time. 100% entertaining and enjoyed seeing the step by step process. I hope you make more videos like this focused on "Creating an animated movie".

In 3 months of work you can surelly get 300 to spend just as he did...
not so expensive.
Akuro Sasamiya or you could make the assets instead of buying them

I think we can all agree that this is the best movie ever made
Amazing! 48 hours creation for ~100 seconds of movie just shows how much production is involved and how important it is to budget ambition. That's a factor of 1728 to 1, production to output seconds. A really good example of the creative process. Great video!
How to make an animated film in 48 hours:
*buy the whole map*
*buy all the objects*
*buy all the characters*
*animate*
*hit render*
Not a bad strategy.
In games we call that asset flipping 😋
@@FuZZbaLLbee wait you make games?
Clinically dead Is that surprising? Check out how many subscribers that RUclipsrs like BlackThornProd, Jonas Tyroller, and Pigdev have.
So, tell me the difference between that and:
ordering someone else to design a map
ordering someone else to design some objects
Having a full team of people to make you rigged characters and animations
Having a ton of animators working on every single frame of a movie.
render.
why would he, on his own. not use "assets" which to him is basically getting something from another teammember.
He still made his point. that animating is within everyone's reach.
Hell, if he can make an animated movie in forty-eight hours, then I can record a five minute presentation for my English teacher.
I enjoy game jams, harder than animation BUT I find just animating this quick SUPER difficult but game jams are usually free .
you're a legend man.. thank you so much for being the guinea pig. I think I'm gonna model/animate most everything myself, stretch out the timeframe, and save on costs. But seeing this process from A-Z was so helpful! Thank you!
48 hours not bad. I like how the fight seen looks like a real action scene with bad actors
As someone who doesn’t know a thing about 3D animation I thought it turned out incredible
Ok?
@@JefferyEpsteinOfficial no point in ur comment
Same
Right? I don't think I could have done that.
as someone who knows a decent amount about 3d animation it looks quite bad, but pretty impressive for only 48 hours
Pretty impressive for an animated action short with a 48 hour deadline. Well done!
Imagine what his wife was thinking when she heard austin's voice acting
Dude, you made a film in 2 days. I'm impressed.
There were one or two janky bits, but if you had 7 days instead of 2, this would have been flawless.
Flawless is a bit much. Unless you mean the exact same story/characters then your absolutely correct
no not flawless but good
