I just today put Mint onto my (formerly) Ubuntu machine: a 2011 Toshiba Satellite Dynabook with a somewhat old SSD and a recently upgraded 8gb of ram. It works very, very well. I have three machines now plugged into one display. I use the display switch to move among them. I have a small USB hub with the keyboard, mouse, and webcam plugged into it, so when I change machines I just have one usb plug to move. Easier and better than a KVM.
It is great to see older hardware being used vs recycled, and interesting use of the display input switch to see all 3 machines. Thanks for checking out the channel and feel free to subscribe.
Pull the hdd out of one for sell and put in one with LMDE. True, some will buy MS spyware because they are brainwashed. But letting them see a Linux machine and letting them play with it to see its features. Dell sells machines with Ubuntu built in.
I have seen dell and lenovo offer linux pcs in the past, hope they keep them in stock so folks can choose Linux to start on a new machine. The used/refurbished market is spotty with Linux demand. Most folks that are hip to Linux just buy hardware and install it themselves.

I dig the date code in the title.
Thanks for checking out the channel. The date codes help keep track of when and what I post about.
