Ah ok phew! I'm glad it helped! I was apprehensive about sharing but I knew that it if I was a viewer, I would probably want to know! I feel like it's difficult to find decent spots under $900 but you never know! I hope to see you here one day :)

I just moved cross country to Manhattan and honestly she made it seem so much easier and cheaper then it truly is. It is SO hard. Her rent is SO SO cheap and not common
Same but I'm Irish, I am planning going to NYU so I'm very scared to live a 7h flight from my parents and family, having no friends being so far away from my culture but I've still got a few years so I'm planning like hell

im sorry mom but moving to ny has been my dream for such a long time. I have everything planned, and im here to tell you it all :)
at age 16, ill get a job at a fast food restaurant, and me and my bsf will save up enough so that right when we graduate we hop in the car and take the 2 hour drive there.
some people will say my dreams will be crushed but i will continue to work hard to achieve this, no matter whatever i go through, I WILL ACCOMPLISH THIS.

im no longer moving with my best friends since they thought it was some joke, so im going by myself instead!

Try attending creative mornings in NYC! It's a free guest lecture series that is geared towards the creative community. I'm a graphic designer who regularly goes to the one here in San Diego and have made so many great friends and business connections through attending. It's a great resource if you want to surround yourself with more people in the creative industry.

I'm from Chicago although I admit the 4 seasons ARE nice (when we get them, winters here lasts a really really long time) Id love to trade it for sunny Cal where I can go anywhere and there's beautiful mountains and the ocean...no having to warm up your car before going out or scraping the ice of your car😤

I moved to NYC from Alabama without ever visiting NYC and at first it was a huge culture shock for me but once I got comfortable with the city I fell completely in love with it! So happy you feel that you’re meant to be there right now. That’s a really great feeling to have!

I moved from NJ to London for about three years and I totally get what youre saying about transport. Simple things like a trip to IKEA were so exhausting just because of the time/effort it took to get home and back
Lots of great tips in this video! THANKS A BUNCH!!! Also, I wanted to add that I've heard that an ideal budget for how much you can afford to pay for rent is to find a place that costs less than 30% of your monthly income.
