    I had an anterior placenta. I felt my baby move mostly on the side of my belly and the top. I’m thankful that even with an anterior placenta that I still felt the movements, that really is the best part of pregnancy.

    Awesome! I have an anterior placenta with my first baby. Currently about 23 weeks pregnant and have been feeling our boy kicking and moving a lot in my lower right side of my belly since about 20 weeks. I delivered with a complete previa at 33 weeks last July. I had a hemorrhage at 32 weeks and was admitted to the hospital for the duration of my pregnancy (c section scheduled at 36 weeks) however one week later at 33 weeks and 1 day I had another massive hemorrhage and my water broke and it was section time. Baby is perfect and 5 months now ❤

    31 weeks along/High Risk-previous preterm/AMA/with Anterior placement. The OBs had a tough time the first couple of appointments locating baby's heart beat. This little man moves so much mostly above the belly button is where I started feeling more movement. I can feel him lower now and can only imagine how much more movement I would feel if the placenta was in a different location. Thanks for covering this topic. Looking forward to more videos. How does a low lying anterior posterior placenta impact having a C-section?

    • @adriannegonzalez3277
      @adriannegonzalez3277 Год назад +1

      I might not be 100% correct on the specifics of this but having a low lying placenta can be too close to the cervix or even lay on top of the placenta which can increase risks of placenta abruption during a vaginal delivery which can cause you to bleed out so to avoid and danger to you or your baby the doctor will schedule a c-section but if your placenta moves up enough from having a low lying placenta which can happen it's rare but possible then you can have a trial of vaginal labour but if anything does go wrong in labour you still have a chance of having to have an emergency c-section

    • @Boxes-of
      @Boxes-of Год назад +2

    I had an anterior placenta with 3 of my 4, and one of them was borderline low-lying early on but moved up later. That baby was breech until I had an ECV at 38 weeks. I've wondered if the anterior placentas had to do with my uterus being retroverted. I felt all of my babies very early. With my first, I could feel and see kicks from the outside at 17 weeks even with the placenta right up front. At the end, she kicked me so hard that my ribs were bruised.

      It's rare, but also why we have call schedules and even back up doctors to help cover! Usually if two patients are pushing occasionally we have to have one patient stop pushing or labor down. Same thing happens if there's an emergency going on with one patient but the other one is stable.

    This makes so much sense. I guess I have always had posterior placenta in my previous pregnancies because I was able to feel my babies movements very early on, like around 10/11weeks.
    This pregnancy I got scared because I couldn’t feel my baby moving anymore nor track a heartbeat on my at-home Doppler so I went to the ER to check for miscarriage. The ultrasound nurse showed me exactly what you mentioned here that I had an Anterior placenta.
    I saw how much “cushion” was in the way and my baby was “hiding” and tucked away behind it. 🥹 Of course their equipment was able to pick up the heartbeat very quickly and I just cried tears of relief.
