Bespoke Leather Bag for a Tough Client

- I made this leather handbag for my girlfriends mom, as per her request. She wanted a genuine bespoke leather bag, that matched the design of her previous fashion item. I gave it my best shot and managed to make one of the best sewn items I have made.
I used my singer heavy duty machine to sew this bag, and it managed nicely even though this isn't its first rodeo. I used genuine cow leather and various other bits and bobs.
I'm an engineer based in europe. I make all sorts of stuff, not just leather items. I've been working with leather for about 5 years, I don't really watch any tutorials, and enjoy the thrill of finding solutions out for myself. So my methods are probably wrong, but my results are hopefully right.

I am very impressed with your description of the process and of the result of this project. I have the same Singer Heavy Duty machine, but have not yet achieved similar results sewing leather. I also appreciate that you use glue instead of double-sided tape; less expensive and functional. A very minor point in an otherwise clear and engaging narrative: the ‘strings’ are ‘threads’. That machine you’re using is the first machine I ever got. I hated it so much that I upgraded to a Juki TL2010q a couple months later… massive game changer. Check out some industrial machine, I believe the sailrite (sp?) has a zigzag stitch. I make bags using thick vinyl on my Juki with no issues. I just make sure I’m using the right needle for the job so it doesn’t break. The organ brand is amazing. Best needles imo. You should check out different ways to install zippers… there are much easier ways to go about it. Up to you of course. Bag looks great

Nothing negative to say at all. Looks good! Your "bunny ear seem" looks good too, those are called french seems and can be hard to do straight if you arent well practiced. Nice job.
