    Honestly I really enjoy this kind of videos: top 5’s/ top 10’s. Seen a short sample of the game been discussed is also great. Would love to see more contents like this.

    The Japan exclusive Super Famicom game "Umihara Kawase" is another great one that has similar grappling hook mechanics and physics to Bionic Commando. You use a fishing pole instead of a grappling hook but the outcome is the same and it is perfectly playable without knowing Japanese.

    There's a game called "Teeworlds". It's a multiplayer PC game where the mechanics are based on using a grappling hook and defeating other players. I think it's based on the game "Liero" now that I've seen your video. Man, I've spent so many hours playing Teeworlds as a child; those were great times. Grappling hooks are the best mechanic.

      My first ever website was a Liero fanpage that you can still see today:

    I think the wildest idea of a grappling hook, on my opinion, is the grappling part of it. Which having a hook that grapples with such precision that it won’t ever let you go unless demanded, sounds crazy to me haha!

    Dont know if it falls on retro but Tenchu has always been the one that fascinated me with grappling hooks

    I've always loved grappling hooks and I'm excited to see your segment on this, but I have to say the ninja rope has been apart of Worms since it's first game. My first Worms game was Worms 2 and Worms World Party

    The first Ratchet & Clank game I've played on both PS2 and PS Vita has grappling hook-like floating objects for either rising up to certain terrain or even swing from one direction to the other. Such a classic! Love your videos Izzy! Keep up the great work and stay rad my friend! YEW!!!

    Now that's what im talking about. This kind of video and the lifestyle ones are much better than the ones about controversy and flame wars on twitter. And im sure youre mich more passionate about videos like these too. Keep up the good work

    I cant remember it being in any of the games I personally played as a kid, but as a late teen I loved it in Lost Planet 2, my only grappling hook like game as a kid was Spiderman for the original gameboy =)

      Oh my GOD! Lost Planet! It was a Capcom title, too, wasn't it?
      I'm noticing a pattern here... Capcom found gold with Bionic Commando and decided to add grappling hooks to everything!

      @@TheIzzyNobreShow Yupp they love them, anything grappling hook like too, I was playing MvC 2 yesterday and Ruby Heart throws a an Anchor as one of her moves binding opponents in its chain
      I liked the GH in Warframe with Valkyr a lot, especially the early years and in Ninja Gaiden Z.... oh D. Dark from the old Street Fighter Ex games... Sleep much over due, thank you

    I love both The Magical Quest and Bionic Commando, amazing games.
    I remember using a grappling a lot in the early Quake 2 days too, but I'm confident that was a mod.
    I agree with you, the swinging motion is pretty important, if you can't swing on it, it's not a grappling hook.
    Question, where does the whip from Super Castlevania 4 stand on snes? :D

    • @TheIzzyNobreShow
      @TheIzzyNobreShow  2 месяца назад +1

      Good question. I like it, but being able to swing it in any direction made the game a bit less challenging. Plus, sadly, it isn't a grappling hook :((

    Ngl, these Disney games look really good. This video made me wanna try this game out. Is it too difficult?

    • @TheIzzyNobreShow
      @TheIzzyNobreShow  2 месяца назад

      I don't think so. It was aimed at younger kids back in the day. Some of the bosses are mildly challenging, the final boss is DEFINITELY cheap af. Only ever beat it once, and with save states!

    Love all your new videos, thanks for removing your TEMU video. Could we get some clarification on why you decided to make one? I mean I think we all know about Temu and their practices etc. Just would really like some commentary on what were you thinking?

      I legit don't know anything about the company, other than "it's just another AliExpress/GearBest".
      I've been receiving stuff from Chinese companies for review videos for nearly 10 years now, I didn't know this particular company was controversial. I spend most of my time on the Brazilian side of the internet (as evidenced by my sporadic presence on my English twitter versus my being terminally online over on my Brazilian handle) and I imagine this might be why it wasn't on my radar.
      And for the record: no money changed hands. I wasn't paid by them.
      These companies are always like "wanna review this stuff?" and I was like "sure". This is the first time I ever encountered any sort of pushback over it.
