I've been reading a book called Mindfulness in Plain English by Bhante Henepola Gunaratana. There was a sentence that stated thet Greed and Hatred are prime manifestations of the ego process. To the extent that grasping and rejecting are present in the mind, mindfulness will have a very rough time. There is a reason that mindfulness is a practice, it is something you have to work on everyday. So when someone tells me their pronouns, I write them down as a reminder so that I don't accidently misgender them. I don't make fun of people who have pronouns because it's just part of language. I would rather have my actions travel with me as my shadow, rather than the ox pulling a cart.

But on the subject of reading, it's like climbing a steep hill or mountain. It can feel daunting but when you reach the top or finish a good book it feels so rewarding. You've done something the vast majority refuse to do. Just like with exercise, never stop moving. With reading, never stop reading. There will always be interesting books to read and you'll be better off for it in the long run. Literacy is very important.

Unless they had mentioned about how their IT department is really progressive or whatever at some point before…? so like… First they slip in the information that there is some kind of progressive influence in programming these robots and then later on it, pays off by one of the robots saying something ”woke”…? Even then it’s kind of a dumb joke. I got it as like, they are introducing the elements of J Lo’s character, ie. her not liking robots and robots clapping back at her disrespect. I figured this is just another way to show that she doesn’t like AI. They probably lay that pretty thick. The writing isn’t subtle at all.

Yessss dude! I completely agreeeeee! On another note…I watched this movie with my BF and it’s kind of funny. I was like “aww look, she’s trying so hard”. And “lol she’s going for that Oscar” it’s hilarious. The AI robot thingy has more emotions than she does 🤣
I actually really liked this movie. The weakest part of it was Jennifer Lopez but it may have been her writing more-so than Jennifer herself. She just seemed to play the weak ass damaged girl for a bit too long before she finally went to hero-mode. Her whining just became annoying at a point. Again, that's the writers fault more than hers. The rest of the movie was great including Sterling Brown and Simu. I thought they killed it. Anyway, I enjoyed the movie, it was an entertaining two hours, but there's no reason to watch it again. I hope somehow we see a sequel in this world in another movie, maybe just leave Jennifer out of it. As for the pronouns, who gives a heck. Ya'll analyze it way too much no matter if you like it or hate it. It was one line in a movie. When you're on your deathbed, none of this culture war shit will matter.
