Dude! Good review! Great job! They is definitely the best combo for cheap. Im impressed! I do crazy builds and always spend so much money on systems, it acts like a 4s system. I’m definitely buying this and trying it. Thanks buddy!
Thanks bro! The esc is actually a 3-4s capable unit and I suspect the motor can handle it also. I run 4s on my Spektrum setup out of my Mojave 4s with a 3900kv motor on my Vendetta just fine. Also, I may be giving this system away soon on an upcoming video so stay tuned!

All of the ESC motor combos you mentioned would’ve done 50 mph if you want more than that play with your gearing pinion and spur you’ll get higher speed
I got over 50mph with those. Problem is they don't last and have no warranty.
I guess i really needed this video. I've baught the DBX 10 brushed version equivalent from Absima and wanted to learn working on it, together with my son. And a good project-car it is, kinda falling apart right from the beginning. :D
But thanx, mate. This helps us a lot and saves a bag of money (we need for spare parts, yet ; ) ... Hopefully the car he'll get on his birthday will be more dureable.

Great video, lots of info and feedback about this and the other systems in comparison. I have the 120 esc and 3652 motor 4000kv in my vortex boost. Very easy setup. I dig your Senton, that thing RIPS!

Great vid I have the same Senton I put typon a arms an spectrum 85 amp 3300 combo with metal spur gear 24/91 she rips
I was gonna stick with the 91 spur but decided to go for the beefier 32p gears. They're unstoppable when you switch everything out to metal! Enjoy your rug bro!
I run the Hobbywing G2 MAx10 140A combo in my Tekno SCT410 2.0, you can run 2s and up to 4S,your need the Proline 3458-18 Flo-Tek Fusion in Black / Pre-Cut bodyshell, always do your home work before you buy anything ,

I had the G2 Max10 140a combo and it smoked out after 2 lipos. Googled reviews for them and it was awful reliability wise, shame as it drove so nice! I was advised this system was much more reliable so exchanged.
@ThEtEcHnOsAm This is the only Hobbywing branded esc I have experience with and it worked very well for me. This is the reason why I'm using Spektrum stuff now. Made by HW.
Enjoyed the video. I recently purchased this system for My Kyosho Widebody Tundra. I haven't installed it yet, but I definitely liked the price. I also purchased a metal spur gear, motor fan and center driveshaft. However, I will only be running it on 2s because this system seems to eat metal driveshafts on 3s from what I gather. As far as Your RC catching wind, You are going to have to cut some vent holes in the body. I would suggest trying to make it look as natural as possible, but that should help.

Ive had great luck with some surpass motors like the platinum and rocket but no luck w esc. Matter fact the motors ran strongerband cooler than the old HW Max10 sct combo motor. But no go on older surpass esc!!!
I've heard this! The motors seem bomb proof and the escs are junk. Oh well, I'm happy with the Spektrum branded HW stuff now. 🙃
@@bigbristv i can dig it! Ive wanted to try the spectrums but price wise i always went with the surpass motors and HW esc after my first HW sct combo. I still have a HW esc. Its a max10 too and a surpass platinum that ive had in a rig damn near 4 yrs and its been over volted and over geared and still runs like a bull lol! Ive had good luck wth the 3 and 4s HW esc. Never had rig ovr 4s. I was really close to snagging a 130amp spectrum combo off jennys few wks bak. Id def have one. ✌️

Video idea for you. You should try the Hobby wing ESC 60a with the hobby wing motor!
Once I went 120a there's no going back! I might try that combo on the BMW M3 drift car 🤔

To be clear, I just show whatever I'm doing or have done in my vids and the outcome I got so it might help someone. All of the SH stuff is gone and the HW stuff is working great!

Great vid. I learned a lot from this. I took went throught a few of those Surpass branded motors- they all burned up. Is the motor)ESC combo still holding up?
Yes it is! I had to upgrade the diffs both front and rear to metal due to the power. This thing is a beast in the Senton, I even considered switching the esc over to my Mojave to get it to wheelie! Pinned your comment. This made my day. Thanks!
may I ask which surpass. motors did you kill, I install a surpass hobby rocket motor supersonic 3660 can 3600kv and it is a freaking beast, it's going strong

Those rocket motors are good motors. Ive heard they are the same as hobbystar and they look just alike. Even the V2. I like the better surpass motors like the platinum and rockets but the older surpass esc’s i think are a pass.

Okay soo I just bought this for my Mst rmx 2.5 and I ordered a Zeee 3s 11.1v 120C 1300mAh battery. Please tell me this will all work 😂 this is my first actual build and im hoping this won't destroy my drift car on 3s 😂
Should work fine. Not sure if it'll get you where you want to be but it will work.
I just put it in my blackout sc, with stock reciever and stock gearing. But there is a hard lag on acceleration. It's 15 pinion 55 spur. And it gets hot. Any ideas?
Wow, had the Blackout SC & HW system, but not at the same time but I'll try anyway. Are you running the stock tires? Are any of the bearings seized or any other drivetrain obstructions? What settings are you using? Motor or esc getting hot? How hot is hot? (Actual temps)
hey man great and informative video but I just had a question on figuring out the gearing and tire size. my stock motor just gave out with the senton and wanted a good motor and esc combo but can't figure out the gearing and such, any tips? what's your truck got at the current moment?
ATM it's got stock BLX gearing; 32p gears (57t spur, 20t pinion) and all metal diffs and input gears, front and rear. It's definitely louder but it is also stronger.
If you want to run wheels/tires the same or similar size to stock, you should be good with this setup. Larger tires might require gearing down on the pinion.
Are you running MEGA or BLX gearing?
What gear you run my TA pro 4 comes with a 15t 32p got the 3660 3700kv combo ordered but wondering what gear I should go with
It depends on tires. If it came with a 15t pinion you'll probably be safe going up a tooth or three.

I was looking at this combo for mine. Did you end up dropping a gear as you went up from 3300 to 3700kv.
Nice vid, this one has me convinced. Im buying one. Eventually i want to drive it on 4s. But is it already quicker with the stronger esc only? I now have a 100amp esc with 3s. Should it be faster with only plaving this 120amp esc?
I'm not 100% sure on that but I believe going up to 120 from 100 will give more power delivery so yes, you should go faster with just the esc upgrade. If you have a Spektrum esc, check out the firmware upgrade also for more adjustability.

I can't compare but it is for 10th scale cars so I think it should fit an MT10.
Nice bro!! Do you have any problem to use xt60 with 120a on 3s ? The xt60 has a capacity of up to 60 amps
No problem at all! I think the amp ratings of connectors can be tricky. If you aren't continuously pushing 60+ amps thru it I think you'll be fine.

Only the esc is rated for 4s.

42 on Surpass? What rig & specs? I got 50 on the Surpass but it wasn't stable and tons of cogging.

Friend ! please help me I bought the esc it came without the cable, which connects to the motor, what is the gauge, (section) awg that I buy for the motor? What would be the cable? Do I buy it with a silicone cover? I'm going to use a 540v 8.5T motor in this 10bl120 g2 esc
Sounds like the motor you have is brushed, is it? If so it will not work with this esc. As far as the wires that will work with the esc, it should be 10 or 12 gauge with 4mm bullet connectors.
