Would the 4000kv be too much (get too hot) for the Traxxas Slash 4X4 with regular gearing? (13/54) Would it be better to get the 3250kv motor instead? UPDATE: I got the 3250kv motor, its great(for the most part) for the 4x4 slash! Running stock gearing 13/54 the motor gets fairly warm to the touch 40c - 50c. As compared to the Traxxas Velineon 3500 motor, it would be really hot! The one downside with the Hobbywing 3250kv motor is it sucks back the battery faster than the Traxxas Velineon 3500. I am getting about 1/2 to 3/4 the run time as I would with the Traxxas motor, and this is with 0 timing, no drag brake too! Wonder if I should have went with the 4000kv motor instead? Final note - I had to reverse two of the motor wires A to C and C to A. I did the set up with throttle first then brake. When I pulled the trigger the car wanted to reverse, so I swapped A cable with C.
I installed one of these in my Bomber with the bigger 3660 motor and it's FANTASTIC! Best Upgrade I ever made. I like that you can tell when you start 'warming it up' when the fan comes on.
@@arkyrc why would you have to get a bigger pinion? The motor alone is faster than the titan motor. I would think you'd have a higher chance of cogging with the 4000kv with a bigger pinion. Im getting cogging with the 17 tooth pinion on the 4x4 slash with the 3250kv motor!

I want to install this system with the 4000kv motor in my Rlaarlo Ak-787. I am looking for general runs and some mild speed runs. Will this system have plenty of speed and torque for this 1/10 touring car?
Hey nice video Charlie! I want this for my Arrma gorgon, this video has helped a lot but the only thing is my batteries have an ec3 plug, do they sell adapters to convert so I don't have to buy new batteries ?
Same with me. I have it sitting in my amazon cart for my gorgon, and im only hesitating because of the battery connection. I know i can cut and resolder a new connection but id rather not if theres an adapter.
hello friend ! What do you think of this new esc 10bl120g2? And is it really good? Is the programming card the same as the previous model? I'm wanting to buy this new version of the 10bl120 g2.
So if I have a 4000 kv motor of the timing is at 0 will I get 4000kv and if I turn the timing up I’ll get more kv? Or do I have to have the timing in the medium setting to get the rated 4000 KV the motor has?
Hi 🙂 i got a udi 1202 brushless and i want to upgrade to brushless, but the motorshaft on the new motor is 5mm and the stock pinion gear is 3mm or 3.17! Im new at the hobby so not sure! The motor is a 3660 Surpass! What pinion do i need? Plz help me 🙏🏼 Love Rc Stuff podcast ☺️
Everything worked. So I mounted it. Sat it down to try it. Quit working. Now when I turn it on, it just continuously double beeps and double blinks red. There is no steering now either, but even if I unplug the receiver, the esc still just keeps beeping and blinking.

It definitely does, it's usually most noticeable as you apply the initial throttle. Annoyingly lots of RTR vehicles actually don't come calibrated properly, not sure how they calibrate them in China but more often than not they are not done right

Buy all the connectors you need to adapt and use a small bit of wire and make your own adapters saves some money

The programming port runs from the BEC power. It can be used for simple fans and lights, but is not rated or spec'd to have a load.
