Just ordered this combo with a Kyosho Beetle and Futaba 3PV. Black Friday deals on a budget! Can't wait to get it!
I had the Assault as a kid, this is my first brushless set up almost 40 years later!
Hard to pass up an $85 combo that reviews this well. Hoping for a cool, reliable 35mph. Ideally I'd like to tune it down to 80% for longevity and it still be a ripper!

@@arkyrc why would you have to get a bigger pinion? The motor alone is faster than the titan motor.
I would think you'd have a higher chance of cogging with the 4000kv with a bigger pinion.
Im getting cogging with the 17 tooth pinion on the 4x4 slash with the 3250kv motor!

Would the 4000kv be too much (get too hot) for the Traxxas Slash 4X4 with regular gearing? (13/54) Would it be better to get the 3250kv motor instead?
UPDATE: I got the 3250kv motor, its great(for the most part) for the 4x4 slash! Running stock gearing 13/54 the motor gets fairly warm to the touch 40c - 50c. As compared to the Traxxas Velineon 3500 motor, it would be really hot! The one downside with the Hobbywing 3250kv motor is it sucks back the battery faster than the Traxxas Velineon 3500. I am getting about 1/2 to 3/4 the run time as I would with the Traxxas motor, and this is with 0 timing, no drag brake too!
Wonder if I should have went with the 4000kv motor instead?
Final note - I had to reverse two of the motor wires A to C and C to A. I did the set up with throttle first then brake. When I pulled the trigger the car wanted to reverse, so I swapped A cable with C.

A few things are possible, ranging from a dead/storage charge battery, to the throttle channel on the Receiver, not working, or having abnormal outputs, to basic connection issues.
"Hobbywing Official Servo test" video (simple search will find it), will walk you through some basic tests to do to confirm the throttle channel is, or is not, working correctly.
