I’d argue you that it is cheating because it can make you 100% better at something. With this hardware you can get perfect counter strafes every single time, something that pros cant even achieve. A new monitor will give you a faster refresh rate, which will make you better but not 100% better at something. Since it removes human error like many different cheats do, I’d say it’s cheating.

We as the gaming community along with gaming peripheral companies are really shifting the goalposts as to what is considered cheating. Sure right now there are still people saying this is basically like cheating (I agree with them btw) but over time as more and more of these products come out it becomes normalized and if you want to play "standard" you are at a big disadvantage.
@@GREG_WHEREISTHEMAYO adding it as a feature is a terrible idea. Valve will change a decade old mechanic just because keyboard manufacturers are adding this feature? Nah

I'm not surprised if some hardware manufacturer built a software that makes use of our webcam to aim and flick on competitive shooter and Logitech or Razer or any other manufacturer, suddenly introduce a no recoil mouse. That's what the competitive shooter become. Pay to win. It's either you'll buy that certain peripheral to gain advantage or lose a game.
i don't think they could do it with a mouse (yet) but your trying to solve a vulnerability that microsoft has been trying to solve for more then a decade.
I think Razer did this just to fight back Wooting because rapid trigger is almost untouchable even with all these clones, Pubg players even like Shroud used to use configs in Logitech mouse just for a better recoil control. If anyone can have access to null binding like all the configs they use in cs just to gain a tiny tiny advantage, I would say it's fair since everyone is playing under the same condition. And in the long run, players will get even better with this lil push
@@PoollShietzit does, you won't be able to hold A+D at the same time which causes slightly faster counter strafing and more responsive movement. It doesn't affect your aim as much as in CS but it still has an effect on the game. Also, shitty spyware ac that doesn't work lmao
i disagree, it just changes you from direction without having to release the previous key, it doesn't stop you in place magically, there's still plenty room for human error. This is simply a keyboard that works differently which ends up benefiting CS
Snap Tap itself is something any gaming keyboard can do with a simple software update for keyboards or by using the CS2 console to enable. The banning argument is kind of dumb because any keyboard can do this but it is simply more effective with an analog keyboard (a keyboard with magnetic keys). If anything, an analog keyboard is the biggest factor in this conflict. It is far superior to a mechanical gaming keyboard because of the magnetic keys that with the help of functions like rapid trigger that eliminate most travel latency, meaning the time used to press down for the key to register and the time used for the key to reset. The magnetic keyboard can register a key and reset it within 0.1mm of press and reset. So basically the whole issue is the type of keyboard that eliminates latency and Snap Tap of which synergizes with Rapid Trigger.
There is a mouse with build in recoil. I dont know if it support cs but it does in rust and it is auto banned by anticheats from most good servers. Love your vis btw
I still remember the old csgo the only tricks u really need to have just crouch and aim for the legs not all of this bullshit third party software and macroing stuff cant have a good simple game anymore nowadays

Are you using the 'Alternative fully pressed behavior' too for a more natural feel or did you just adapt to it quickly? Would you mind sharing your profile please?
they should enable it for everyone in cs2 settings and give us ability to chose if we want it only for jump and kz and not during fights and vice versa so everyone can find what they like. Realistically one isnt that much greater if u alrdy have 1000s of hours strafing, but the arcade style cs has always been u want to be accurate as soon as possible without the slugish delay cs2 added. Am i wrong that its just more CS like
i don't think its possible to detect, HID's are trusted by the operating system. Microsoft would never allow them to mess with HID at the kernel level. snap-tap will have to be baked into the game now.
This absolutely IS cheating and I'll list the reasons why: 1. If this was a simple QOL "fix", Valve would've included it in-game themselves as an option. Many games use movement bind overriding internally, but cs doesn't. 2. This third party software automation. If it's okay to emulate certain clicks with a script, you may as well use a recoil or a bunnyhop script. Their principle is exactly the same. 3. Avoiding human error allows you to get uniform precision on tap weapons. Instead of deducing whether your strafe was right, now you'll only need to memorize the timing between pressing the opposing key and shooting. This level of consistency makes weapons such as deagle too strong. Deagle's balancing point is that even the smallest player movement makes it very inaccurate.
Is it really a built-in feature in the keyboard or a oddly placed script in synapse? Im only asking this cause what "if" you can make synapse think that it is the keyboard that had that function can you turn that feature on?😅
Wooting now has this feature as well. Just because hardware does it instead of your pc doesnt make it any different. Either say null binds are allowed or ban everything.
True but joysticks would be absolutely terrible for a game the needs very quick inputs because it takes a much larger movement, and by nature also has to be done gradually instead of instantly
@@Laszered newer joysticks use halleffect sensors and you can edit the sensitivity and make the input binary, fighting games also need very quick < > inputs for combos so i don't think it's that big of a problem
STYKO made a video about how feasible cheating is in CS tournaments. One thing he mentioned, was that none of the hardware ever gets checked. So you could just nullbind with a harware cheat even without razer keyboard. Would that even be bannable? What if someone has done that for a long time and gets caught only now? Would that be bannable?
The hardware doesn't need to be checked to detect hardware level null binds. You could just check the replay and if someone never overlaps movement keys it's pretty obvious that his inputs get cleaned in some way. You could even make an anti cheat do that live.
@@Katze822228 My point was more that if this keyboard is allowed going forward, then hardware cheating as whole becomes a grey area. Of course tournaments could finally start checking hardware cheats, but why would they do so if they are allowed?
Idk if the average player can spot when someone's using null binds but after 10k hours in the game i can immediately see that you stop instantly which is only possible with wooting/razer snap tap/null binds
@@alexanderx78 its easy to stop instantly, its called counter strafing. The issue is consistency, even the best players fail at it every now and then. It's nearly impossible to detect statistics middle of a game (especially from the opponents, who you're focusing on shooting at)
Buying razer in a nutshell. Wooting made rappy snappy available on all their keyboards, even the kickstarter ones from 2016. Sure it's not the same as snap tap, but they'll probably enable snap tap as soon as the grey area around it is lifted
@@zilliq-qz5uw Yes, i believe in wooting, that they will implement the same feature and since the wooting keyboards are superior in other ways as well, i am happy to stick to my wooting two HE, best keyboard i've ever owned
I bought my peripherals with action quality in mind, but having my peripherals replace my actual actions is too far. This is comparable to a mouse that compensates for recoil.
Is it allowed on Faceit if you have the keyboard itself? Because i know if you have a normal keyboard and use null binds in-game you'll get banned on faceit.
I have a normal keyboard and im using null binds in faceit, It IS allowed Edit: im not using third software, i create alias and binds in cs2 console, and that's allowed in faceit
i wouldn't say that snap tap is a script, rather it's a feature that was used to be made with scripts, so i don't really think that's ok to compare it to mouse with RCS. RCS IS a script, since it automates recoil, snap tap is preventing from pressing, not automating something.
I tried this feature on my hunstman, and honestly, didn't like it. I have been counter strafing for what, 20 years??? It felt so weird and I had to get used to feeling when I need to press the keys because its actuation is so fast, it threw me off. I tried null binds a very long time ago and felt the same way. Does it make counter strafing better? Yes. Is it going to be used by Pro's? Probably not, because they will have to relearn thousands of hours of muscle memory. Not saying some won't, but, you still have to learn when and how to press what key to get the result you want (0 velocity) and you still need to be able to hit your shot. Just because you counter strafe better doesn't mean that you aim better, how many times do you counter strafe perfectly 100% on the persons head? You still do micro adjustments, etc. Over all, its just a different feel. As far as KZ and movement? No idea, never bothered.
well i tried out the null binds in deathmatch and honestly it felt so wierd couldnt enjoy it. i still have a "normal" keyboard without any extra feature just changing rgb colors :D.. i do not spend 180-280 euro vor a new keyboard.. i reached 2.5k elo in faceit without any keyboard features
I've been trying it out in scrims recently & I find it doesn't impact gameplay that much at all, but it does improve my counter strafes noticeably I do find it makes movement a little bit sensitive & I'm less precise when jumping on specific cramped spots
If your already good at counter strafing it does not matter. However noobs will be able to master it easily. I think Valve should just adjust counter strafing so we are on a level playing field.
can´t wait for mouses with hardware aim assist, that again "simply removes the human error". Cuz it´s not cheating if you use these trivializing words.

I trief deleting also all steam files...is there a method to actually delete every single data of cs and steam (also cloudwise) . Thx in advance😊
I tried null binds and it made my country strafe worse, it felt like sliding on ice. I prefer the old default wasd bind. However doing long jump and bhop using null binds is fantastic, but not for regular Competitive movement (at least for me)
Null binds are way worse than hardware level implementation where there is no latency. Null binds you still need a very good keyboard and it would still not come close to Snap Tap/SOCD
either have Valve perform an ultimatum and make it available for everyone (make it an option toggle), or have the keyboard hardware banned by some TOs I personally feel cheated out from this, but I doubt what I feel could be taken into consideration.
So let me get this straight, this snap tap is possible without it being just the keyboard? Which is known as a null bind? Do you get banned from that if you're playing faceit? Because it should be none or all, not an in-between, or I'll learn how to force it into my wooting keyboard and cope that it's a feature.
Ill be honest ive never cheated in CS2 but i made an anti recoil macro for warzone back in the day on my razer mouse, a very obvious one and deff a cheat but never had any issue with activision over it. I don't think it should be banned. We're not banning Hall Effect keyboards or mice with fancy features either. *BUT* (this is a big one) I firmly believe that if this isn't banned, then the binds should be allowed *too* , if only to prevent all of us mega tryhards to instantly buy a new keyboard for that minute advantage.
Null binds are only banned on FACEIT league games and Pro games. The average joe in Valve MM can use it with no consequences
@@sitaro1207 Ah that makes sense. Tbh though MM drives me nuts at times with the amount of obvious hackers that roam matchmaking.
If they’re going to allow those keyboards with the snaptap setting enabled then they need to allow null binds in tournaments
Realistically valve should just make this a feature you can enable in cs

I'm not surprised if some hardware manufacturer built a software that makes use of our webcam to aim and flick on competitive shooter and Logitech or Razer or any other manufacturer, suddenly introduce a no recoil mouse. That's what the competitive shooter become. Pay to win. It's either you'll buy that certain peripheral to gain advantage or lose a game.

@@acefromspace4376 not really. High monitor refresh rate will give you faster information but still you need to react and assess what to do.
1.6 HnS brought back childhood memories
I think Razer did this just to fight back Wooting because rapid trigger is almost untouchable even with all these clones, Pubg players even like Shroud used to use configs in Logitech mouse just for a better recoil control. If anyone can have access to null binding like all the configs they use in cs just to gain a tiny tiny advantage, I would say it's fair since everyone is playing under the same condition. And in the long run, players will get even better with this lil push
Valve doesn't need to take a stance on it, null binds are achievable through config files, so it's obviously legal for them.

Also, shitty spyware ac that doesn't work lmao
i disagree, it just changes you from direction without having to release the previous key, it doesn't stop you in place magically, there's still plenty room for human error.
This is simply a keyboard that works differently which ends up benefiting CS
This is also god-tier for jiggle peaking
So basically the whole issue is the type of keyboard that eliminates latency and Snap Tap of which synergizes with Rapid Trigger.

they should enable it for everyone in cs2 settings and give us ability to chose if we want it only for jump and kz and not during fights and vice versa so everyone can find what they like. Its a good feature to allow for everyone, if they do not then the question is how would you even detect these?
i don't think its possible to detect, HID's are trusted by the operating system. Microsoft would never allow them to mess with HID at the kernel level. snap-tap will have to be baked into the game now.
log inputs and analyze delays
This absolutely IS cheating and I'll list the reasons why:
It's just an upgrade fixing an annoying flaw.
are joysticks allowed in tournament? Aren't joysticks my nature impossible to press both direction keys simultaneously?
True but joysticks would be absolutely terrible for a game the needs very quick inputs because it takes a much larger movement, and by nature also has to be done gradually instead of instantly
@@Laszered newer joysticks use halleffect sensors and you can edit the sensitivity and make the input binary, fighting games also need very quick < > inputs for combos so i don't think it's that big of a problem
I love that you included CS 1.6
If valve is willing to allow this feature then they should do built in null binds on the game configs
They should made controller roles like fighting games does
that only works for in person tournaments.
You could even make an anti cheat do that live.
styko is a clown

Why can't this just become a feature in game at this point...
I bought my peripherals with action quality in mind, but having my peripherals replace my actual actions is too far. This is comparable to a mouse that compensates for recoil.

i wouldn't say that snap tap is a script, rather it's a feature that was used to be made with scripts, so i don't really think that's ok to compare it to mouse with RCS.

As with anything else, it is cheating until it becomes a common enough feature

I do find it makes movement a little bit sensitive & I'm less precise when jumping on specific cramped spots
If your already good at counter strafing it does not matter. However noobs will be able to master it easily. I think Valve should just adjust counter strafing so we are on a level playing field.
