Copy and Paste Regions - Part 1 - Logic Pro X tutorial

I just switched my DAW to Logic Pro x after using fl studio on and off for the last 15 years and it’s been a struggle having to relearn how to do things I was used to being able to do easily.
This seems like a very simple thing but I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t edit the looped regions when I edited the original loop.
It’s such a basic thing that I wasn’t able to find in this tutorials on RUclips. Thanks man. This helped solve my headache!!

Please I want the changes I make on the copy to affect the original audio or midi

repeats any selected region

When I copy & paste midi from one software instrument track to another, the midi is silent in the pasted region (both tracks are using the Komplete Kontrol plugin only). Other midi in the pasted track plays. If I copy & paste from midi event editor to midi event editor for the other track, I have the same problem. All of the notes are on ch 1. It makes no sense.

It turned out that the destination track had a Kontakt instrument with a limited range that did not include the notes that were copied. I guess that’s called user error.
