Only thing I would add is Roseville has its own private utility provider, called Roseville Utilities, which is like 1/3rd the cost of PG&E. That’s a huge plus, especially in the summer time when you’re running your AC a lot.
Nice video. Been in Roseville over 30 years. Less conservative than it was in the 80’s now that they Bay Area is moving here. Also Bay Area criminals aren’t starting to target Placer county residents that live freeway close (easy getaway). We do have great police & Fire though. Maidu is pronounced “my-doo.” And if we are talking “nationally,” keep in mind that California taxes are among the highest, nationally.
Roseville is massively vast suburban sprawl - suburban sprawl on steroids. Flat and sprawl as far as the eye can see. Keep in mind, you will drive in traffic, congestion, and far to get around the far reaches of Roseville. Nothing is close. It is spread out. There are many newer home neighborhoods popping up all around Roseville and they are starting to build out in the farmlands in the northwest outer reaches of Roseville. If you like massive suburban sprawl and driving, you will like Roseville. To its credit - you seem to get more house for your money in Roseville, though it is still expensive.
Born and raised here since 1983 and have been a pedestrian my whole life. Let me tell you, it isn't easy, and bikes and vehicles, along with the sprawling nature of it, make for long walks from one side to the other. Still love all the trails and parks, but it's sad what happened when they began over developing and growing too fast after the Automall went in about 1995, and they connected Rocklin to Roseville with that bridge. Now The 2 malls and that whole area just bring so much extra congestion and pollution. All these 1'000s of new businesses and cars, dumping toxins and waste into our creeks and waterways. It's sad. 😔
@@hermes_job_observer144 Roseville is certainly planned better than most suburban communities, yet the explosive growth made all the pastures and oaks disappear almost overnight. And having seen how crystal clear the air was during the Covid-19 related shutdown reminds us how nice that air was. I can remember my Grandfather had a restaurant in old town a few doors down from the Roseville Telephone Company, and he served mostly workers from the railroad and the refrigeration plant. That’s progress, as they say. Remember all the Auto wreckers out off PFE not too far from the Denio’s auction? I also remember the long running teasing between Citrus Heights and Roseville “Roseville will never amount to anything…!” Hahaha.
I'm thinking about moving to Roseville. I currently live just under 4 hours away. How are teachers paid? How about job availability for teachers? I was originally moving to Southern California, however I stumbled upon Roseville and am now very interested in living there.

There’s no way on Earth Walnut Creek has better shopping than Roseville. Born in Walnut Creek and raised in the area. I’ve been to Roseville and nothing compares to the shopping in Northern California. It was even nicer with more stores than Valencia in SoCal.

@@LivingNSacramento hi there thank you for getting back. Can you please let me know which areas are more safe , less crime , family orientated, less ghetto, less people in the streets being aggressive, more accepting of views, and cleaner vs the opposite? Thank you 🙏
Nothing wrong with those but to be fair it's more lifted trucks, Mustangs, Camaros and other muscle cars that I really see speeding way above the speed limit.
We're in Westpark Roseville. There's a surprising amount of Asians in the area. A large percentage of our neighbors are also from the Bay Area as you can see from the license plate frames. There's no real Asian stores if you care about that but there's a Starbread lol. . There's boba, Von's Chicken, Bon Chon Chicken and other Asian foods and a 99 Ranch in Folsom. There's a "Little Saigon" in Sac but it's currently littered with homeless and prostitutes are in full display in even in the day. That said it feels like the Texas of California - lots of muscle cars, lifted trucks - interpret that as you may.
"More bang for your buck" 😆 Roseville is VASTLY overpriced. Roseville has great schools, is safe, and has a lot to do. It's also incredibly racist and entitled.

American Lung Association ranked Roseville #5 on top 10 most polluted cities in America a few years back. Hope you like paying absorbent prices for living in a toxic death trap that will at the very least give your children asthma and potentially cancer from the over abundance of particulate matter due to over development, poorly zoned residences (by dumps, cell phone towers, electric grids, trains, freeways, etc.), heavy traffic including large commercial vehicles, 2 large freeways that cross through, plus with the fires and smog that gets trapped right here at the base of the mountains, it's pretty bad. Is this really the future model for American cities? Who needs 2 swanky malls right next to one another, located directly next to our new dump, our old dump, and electrical grid with heavy lines everywhere. Who needs 100's of restaurants and dozens of gyms? After the Tech boom a few years back, a low income section 8, 2 bed apartment, that would've cost maybe $800‐1000 a month raised to $1600-2000. Really though, they just kicked everyone out making more homeless and sold the $80,000 condos for $200,000-220,000. It's crazy!
