This was so great! I have taken an online watercolor class before but it didn't explain techniques the way you do like how to avoid those dastardly cauliflowers and what the danger zone is! Thank you so much! I painted this tonight, and while mine didn't look very good😅 I avoided so many mistakes I'd been making until now!!
You’re work is beautiful. I love your gentle and encouraging manner. You’re making me feel as though I can do this! I’m going to sign up. It’s the little push I need to paint everyday.
This came out very beautiful and colorful. I love all the added color and how you were thoughtful about where to place it. I also agree about not touching the clouds, sometimes just a soft trace of them in the sky is enough, when I go back in I also liked it better before lol
Thank you for this great video! I gave it a try and it turned out fairly well (though I struggled with the clouds making them look fluffy without hard edges)!
Wow Emily this came out so soft and dreamy. Good tips on painting the water and surf and I love the use of the limited palette and simplicity of the process in general. I noticed that I have quite a few of the supplies that you use and I was hoping you might feel comfortable sharing your thoughts on that Paul Ruben's block. Lastly, I'm curious about the use of hot press for the tutorial. Do you typically favor it over cold press because of the style and subjects you tend to paint? Thank you for posting. Beautiful interpretation.
Thanks for your comment, Morgan! I love the Paul Rubens paper--I prefer the hot pressed block especially for plein air painting--it responds to the paint and handles lifting so well. Typically in my studio painting I prefer cold press for the wet in wet capabilities/slower dry time.
Your painting are nice but I do NOT like YOUR COMMERCIALS and not just ONE but More is only a 22 min video and you have them before in the middle and after.... not for me
“No pressure, no fear, just joy”

Thanks so much for having the reference photo in the corner. I have such a hard time translating the colors, that's really helpful.

How were you able to do the blue right next to yellow without them mixing on edge and turning green
Thank you for sharing Emely🥰
Of course!! 🙌
I am attempting this painting but my paper is drying really fast. Any tips for me?
Beautiful, I made all the mistakes following along 🙄 and threw mine away. Suppose i have to watch everything first a few times and then try it.
❤
Are those baby food jars?! I use them too 😂
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Oh! You should have left the foam as it was. But, in all, nice scenery.
