Whamageddon! I have the dubious yet strangely satisfying honour of being the first person in the world to be whammed and sent to Whamhalla this year. Thanks to time zones, and living in New Zealand, and on the morning of December 1, my wife had woken up early and was scrolling through her Instagram feeds when one of the reels had the song playing. I hadn't even got out of bed!
Phil Wang, always likable, seems pleasantly amused by everything going on.
This was one of the straight up funniest episodes i have seen to date. And as a member of the good ole usa i actually was able to understand the references for the most part. Thank you so much for sharing this brilliant show with us. Peace Out.

Man, and Ian keeps being on fire! And all the guests were hilarious as well! The whole advent calendar ooohs and aaaah were so funny i had to pause the video! i'll say it again, this is the funniest season of hignfy ever!
Brilliant show yet again. This actually explained a few of the weird jokes from the shortened edition. Like Paul's comment about Ian Wright's coat and Ian Hislop suddenly exclaiming "ants!" for the missing word round. Makes me realise how badly cut that normal edition was!
I've stopped watching the short version. I'd rather not encourage youtubers to put out cut versions if their only purpose is to trick us into watching more of their videos. I can wait for the correct version.

@@donkeysunited the short version is the standard BBC broadcast show. The extended version is shown by the BBC a few days later. Neither have been cut by the youtubers, it's just posted as shown.

When I need a break from the ridiculousness of our government I turn to British political satire shows like this.
I have taught most of my grandchildren "I know a song that gets up everybody's nose" sung sharp and off key, they loved it.

I think Paul might have been referring to the old film showing German soldiers marching back and forth to “Doing the Lambeth Walk”. It’s on RUclips somewhere.
It was no error; he was referring to the Hitler jig. It makes more sense as a reference, given they were talking about deep fakes of celebrities, not random unnamed soldiers.

A pie usually contains vegetables that pair well with the meat. Like steak and mushrooms. The crust is more like a thick baked crust. Like the kind you’d have on a chicken pot pie.
