Initially when i saw this bike at that time i did not like it’s looks…since I already have BS4 version so it look me some time to grow on 450’s looks…there’s something in Himalayan which keeps me coming back to it…as there was a instant connection with my current Himalayan when i bought it…many times the thought of switching over to some other bikes comes to my mind…but now the more i am watching these videos the more I’ve started falling in love with it’s looks…there’s something in this bikes which keeps me addicted to its soul…it just bowled me over its presence….completely addicted..❤ BTW my hight is 5.4 and I’ve been ridding the Himalayan BS4 from past 5 years. Though not a regular weekend ridder but a passionate biker by heart 🏍️ ❤
RE has really worked on the bike and things look premium. The console is probably the best in the market with crisp text and fonts. Dual screen mode is such a welcome addition. And availability of Gmaps alone is a game changer. The Himalayan logo on the tank is littt, a la Endevourish.
1. At the time of placing the order we can go for 805mm height seat or it will be provided with the default 825mm seat compulsorily? 2. Also I heard the tubeless tyres will not come by default(tube tyres is default) and only be provided some months later as additional purchase. What do you say?
Correction. The tyres are tubeless which means they dont require tubes when used on alloy wheels or tubeless spoke wheels but here it requires tubes. The current rims shown on this bike does require tubes. People might get confused that this does not require tubes. There is another tubeless spoke rims, which unfortunately wont be available in India for few months.
@pradg7362 hi, does that mean we have to replace both the rims to support tubeless tyres if we are buying this bike currently? How much will that be? Or is it ok to wait till re releases tubeless version of this bike?
@@vibin.v yes. Currently India is not getting the tubeless spoke rims. Might be few months. Tubeless spoke rims might be quite costly. I am thinking RE can offer it as an accessory or part of a high end version. Maybe buying it as a high end version will save some money than buying as an accessory. Me personally, I am not buying until the tubeless spoke version is offered here in India. My current XPulse offers almost all that I need (of course it sucks on highways).
So how much is the weight now? Is it easy to hold it if it starts falling or still old difficult? How the braking now? considering the weight, preivous one weren't good and didn't give confidence of stopping on speed.
Sir gaadiwaadi says it’s not tubeless and RE has applied for tubeless spokes approval… stating that for now it will be launched as non tubeless tyres and later the tubeless spokes can be purchased as part of the accessories… can you help clarifying
Great detailed one thanks on engine and tank infor. Can u share all Color’s available with it and accessories available with it like exhaust. But some media said tyre is not tubeless as of now in india is it true ?
New features may be good choice but old Himalayan is love. The instrument cluster and the looks of the old one cant be beaten, that provide more rigid and raw look as compare to new one.
06:38 brother you missleading your Audience. Stock bike will not be tubeless even though tyres are tubeless. Tubeless rim will be provided as an accessories. And export model will have stock Tubeless Rim.
Hi from uk love old himalayan have classic 350 liking new himalayan.....only thing would prefer central rear tailight for off roading as indicators could be a problem if crash occurs cheers dave
Have to say that without the dedicated taillights will lead to anxiety issue in cases where one crash their bike and lose any rear indicator. That is my biggest issue and a bigger flaw.

Only one question which bike suites best for all types of road, engine vibration, look wise and fit and finish for an average Indian height 5'5 to 5'10 Speed Triumph 400x Scrambler Or Himalayan 452 ? As you have already ridden both! :)
5'5 and 5'10 has a 5' gap. It's a huge gap dude. You have to be more specific. Anyway, both speed 400 and himalayan 400 are suitable for the height range you said. But which bike to choose is up to you. Both of these bikes have capability of riding in city and highway without any major difference. But with himalayan, you'll be able to do more offroading while with speed 400, your highway experience will be better. But remember, speed 400 comes with better features. While himalayan comes with better after sales service. Finally, go to the showroom, have a test ride of both of these and decide yourself.
How comfy is the pillion seat? I’m planning to check this out as a secondary bike to tour with my wife, she needs to be extremely comfy that’s important 😅
@@DilinMDGood catch, but the rear seat is also higher so should compensate hopefully. Also, apart from just leg space (Indian women aren’t that tall), the cushioning, width and length matter a lot I think. Being able to sit but still move around without being cramped.

The Royal Enfield bike has always been renowned for its distinctive heavy exhaust sound and its robust, bulky engine that complements the classic aesthetic of the line. However, the new Himalayan model seems to deviate from the classic theme by incorporating unnecessary modernizations. It doesn't quite feel like a genuine Royal Enfield. Some might argue it resembles a standard 400cc bike, akin to the Bajaj Dominor or Hero Xpulse, featuring a large petrol tank and a somewhat simplistic Chinese-made headlamp with a digital speedometer. This approach might be perceived as diminishing the spirit and essence of the authentic Royal Enfield bike. Many might find it to be a less fulfilling investment, as it may not evoke the same feelings as the old Himalayan model or other classic Royal Enfield bikes.
Afaik they are experimenting on the himalayan while maintaining the "old school cool" of bullet (IK, they removed the kickstart, but rest looks retro still). Personally, I like where they are headed.
New or Old Himalayan - Your pick?
New one with new instrument cluster & tubeless tyres
