Awesome video as always Coddiwomple Overland. Those furnaces were so cool and awesome you learn something new about history everyday.
Thanks, We loved the history of this area.
The silence during Bpone Family plot scene, so kind and thoughtful ❤
Thanks
that cave waterfall, is about three miles from where i live, its called tucker abner cave at chestnut stand, its super cool
Thanks for the info!
This is one of the best overland videos that I have ever seen. The panning shots, the drone usage, the music and the narration were masterfully done. Thank you both for such a pleasurable viewing experience.
Thank you!
Fancy drone work! Great video!
Thanks!
What an awesome opportunity for y’all to be involved in this ride. Maybe this summer, I can catch up with you guys next time your at Callie’s. Can’t wait to see these sites . Safe travels ….

Nice Job !!!! Looks like we will have to plan another weekend getaway, glad we got to run into you guys at Turkey foot !!!!! Thanks for the stickers !!!!
It was nice meeting ya'll.
Love your videos! I see Tad joined you all. Just ran into him down at the gorge on April 1.
Thanks!!
I really appreciate you posting this content. I just got my first jeep and look forward to exploring trails like this.
Have fun exploring. The DBBB is a great area with a little of everything.
I have to put this on my list!
DBBB extension is great!
Love the Videos. What trails were this recorded on? My wife want to see the furnaces!
This is part of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway. The Furnace Loop, you can get a map by going to ridethedbbb.org
@@CoddiwompleOverland I understand that and I already have the cartotracks map. I would like to know exactly which trails you took
Great video!
Thanks!
Looks great. Congrats on 20K.!!
Thank you!!
Great video guys!
Thanks!
This looks super fun!!! I need to get back and finish the DBBB, and now there is more to do!!!
It's a great area!
Some of those sections look pretty hairy! Love the furnaces. Thanks for the video & Happy Easter.
Happy Easter to you also.
That's awesome that you guys were able to one of the first cracks at the expansion. It looks like it was a great time!
It has been.
Even more reasons for me to make it over that way!!!!
Definitely!
Wonderful vid…looking forward to checking the expansion out!
It was also nice to meet you guys and some of the crew at Turkey Foot.
(Those 80's were beasts in the flesh)
Great to meet you also. Definitely some cool rigs.
Looks awesome. Cant wait to see all of that definitely have to come back to wheel the new sections
Definitely!
Wow, great video of what looks like an awesome addition to the Byway. Can't wait to get down there to check it out!
Thank you!
Nice that people leave that furnace alone. In the Spring Mountains, Wheeler Pass above Vegas and Pahrump, they rebuilt the charcoal kilns that were up there. They had to fence them off because people vandalized them. A little piece of mining history, they used them there for mines down near Dumont Dunes. It was the closest forrest.
Yes, it's a shame people leave trash, drive where they shouldn't, and spary graffiti everywhere.
That looks like a fun new section. Looking forward to running it! Thanks for the walk through. Loved the challenging section snippets with the Turkey 🦃
Definitely, we know how you love a little mud 😂 and a challenge.
@@CoddiwompleOverland and that’s why I have new taillights now. I swear that boulder jumped out whilst I was on a ledge 😭
I hate when they jump out..🤣
Aw man I hope I can get some time to do this ,wanted to come down this may but pretty sure it's not in the cards this year but ,a definite to do thanks for sharing!
Thanks for following along.
Looks like a great time. I have not made it into Kentucky yet, I hope to do so this summer but will probably be western Kentucky.
Lots of great areas in Ky.
Looks like a lot of fun. We just finished the Georgia Traverse Friday. Carver is already wanting to find another trail to ride. May have to plan a DBBB or KAT trip sometime this summer. Love seeing the local (East Coast) trails that you highlight.
It was a lot of fun. Thanks for following along. Tell Carver we said 👋
Wow, great trip! That looks like a blast. Is there an updated map out with the route?
Coming in May
That looks like an option for a Tremor trip. Would a full size truck make that trail?
Yes. On the easy sections
The DBBB maps say there is no dispersed camping in the area, but it appears to be inaccurate based on your video. Any suggestions on dispersed camping in the furnace area?
We were with the members of the DBBB 1 night on the trail we camped dispersed. I'm not sure if they took that site off. Second night they took us to Turkey Foot campground.
Thanks so much! It's such a beautiful area, but would be so much better with more dispersed opportunities.
We agree
Won't take long for the section at the 6:00 mark to be made unpassable
DBBB will be maintaining trails so they will stay passable.
Those furnaces are awsome. My wife and i found them a couple of years ago
Agree!
Good video. What drone are you using? Love the Fitchburg Furnace
I use the DJI Mavic 2s and the Avata.
@@CoddiwompleOverland Cool! Thank you! I’m impressed how close you can get to the trees
Thanks!
Great video. We hope to check it out this fall. Is a Gaia map file available anywhere for the DBBB? I purchased the Avenza map but I haven’t been able to figure out the Avenza app. It’s a lot more complicated than Gaia.
As of now, the only place to get the map is on Avenza.
@@CoddiwompleOverland thanks. I’ll keep playing around with Avenza. I’ll definitely record the tracks on my Gaia when I go. Lol
Sounds like a good plan.
@@CoddiwompleOverland I did some google searching and found some Gaia files so I’m all set. I’ve been using Gaia for awhile so I’ll stick to that instead of trying to learn Avenza.
Where can I find GPX files or maps for the new section?
They will be released after the spring event
Do you know if sxs are allowed on these roads?
They are not allowed
