Maybe its because in Japan car culture they have more self control on the public streets, unlike America where some people think that just because they have a fast car they have to show off like an idiot and crash like if they have something to prove.
Believe it or not, the Japanese really have a sweet spot for classic American cars. Just like how Americans like classic Japanese cars 🇺🇲 X 🇯🇵

I see so many Americans mad that our historic cars and bikes are going to Japan. But the truth is people here don't appreciate them anymore. It makes me happy to see them restored somewhere, and the level of craftsmanship is amazing, especially on old Harleys.

Seeing an old American muscle car on a Japanese street probably gets the same reaction as seeing a Skyline on an American road. I like how the blue Town Car lowrider still had California plates.
A little reminder that owning and maintaining cars like these on Japanese streets is way more expensive than in the USA or even the EU. Thus the people who keep this old muscle car community going in Japan are really dedicated to their cars.

Why does Japanese streets always so smooth
due to the fact that heavy transport does not go there, it simply does not fit, even if it tries to break the rules.
in terms of traffic, all the signals are controlled and monitored. It's useful especially when an ambulance comes. all the lights turn red.
If you're talking about the roads, Japan pays A LOT of money to keep the streets clean and there is a lot of thought put into the engineering process of the road itself (like the material and structure)
It’s because the government cares at least a little bit about their roads, American roads are cheap and rushed which causes them to fall apart rather quickly.

You honestly have to appreciate that the Japanese love American cars as much as we love theirs.
It's literally like how us Americans "rice" out cars, yet the Japanese appreciate the sentiment and do it all the same with the American cars.
It's not something to be made fun of. It clearly comes out of love of each other's cultures.

A Lincoln town car lowrider in Japan...that is crazy,...I knew that they had 64 Impala lowriders from admiring the Dr Dre and Ice Cube videos...but wow...Car Culture is universial...that is why I love it...I want to visit Tokyo so bad...for the exclusive fashion and tech goodies plus the Tomica diecast cars!
They are a niche interest everywhere, you get some in the UK but they're not something you see every day. Petrol prices expensive in Europe thats why another of our sports cars and things are low displacement. Also I know American cars are popular with the Japanese yakuza

I didn't know that something I was doing 20 to 35 years ago, in these cars would be something todays people in another nation would fancy doing.. let alone, importing from the USA cars to replicate a long lost era of customizing cars.. I think the one the was the coolest, what the 1988 Suzuki Samurai tin top/hard top.. those were so much fun to play with..
