- This week is part 2 from last week where the calves are really being tested on their electric fence training. In this video we will see how they get on with meeting cows up close and coming in to be wormed.

I brought the kids to the farm park today, the kids loved it and I really enjoyed the woodland walk, great day out. If Josie was wondering who the weirdo who said hia to her in reception it was me.

I love your repertoire of cattle chivying noises and words... That's quite the variety! It seems most farms have their own favourite sounds to get sheep and cattle moving and keep going. Was there any cussin' that you didn't record? 😉

Ive noticed you girls n mum n dad never shout come on cows, come on, move on or anything- a person in front shouting, showing them where to go is a big help moving any stock, especially so if you are feeding them and have a bag to shake, rattle nuts in. Ive never run around a field after stock in the 34+ yrs in dairying. I know hope youngsters are with single fences, prehaps in the future a couple strands barbed also may stop the mayhem of the nxt grp of devil calves going run abouts? Just suggestion, not criticising, i know its not always easy or a simple answer.
