Super cool video man. I talked to my parents about joining the Marines the other day and they were actually a lot more supportive than I expected. I’m going to talk with a recruiter soon.
Thanks brother. Glad to hear they were supportive of your decision! Check out my video about talking to a recruiter! I give a list of 20 questions to ask. Let me know how it goes dude!
Ok I’ll go check that video out. Thanks!
@@rileyhutto2345 Hell yea man! Let me know how everything goes!
@@rileyhutto2345 how did everything go
It's been two years. How did it go?
Scout sniper sounds appealing to me but I don’t know about it in the long run I feel like it is one of the most traumatic, and PTSD, inducing jobs.
I was in from 1985-89. I signed up thinking I would be a Combat Motion Picture Photographer (when they actually still used 16mm and 35mm film cameras). I found out on the plane to boot camp that I had an 'open contract'. I was a bit naive when I signed the contract thinking I'd get what I wanted back then and really didn't read the fine print. I ended up as a Communication Center Operator (2542). I don't think either of those MOS's exist anymore. They morphed and merged into something else. Combat Motion Picture Photographer would've been cool though.
That definitely would have been a cool job! I hate hearing about people getting stuck with an open contract! It would suck going in thinking your going in with a certain MOS guaranteed and then get stuck being a cook or something (nothing against you cooks out there). Semper Fi!
1371 Combat Engineer
0317 Scout Sniper
5812 Dog Handler
0311 Rifleman (Infantry)
0321 Recon Marine
2336 Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD)
0331 Machine Gunner
0372 Marine Raider (MC Spec Forces)
0211 Counter/Human Intel Specialist
0451 Parachute Rigger
0800 Artillery
0689 Cyber Warfare
Engineer here raghhhh!!!!!!!!
I was a combat engineer 2002-2006, it’s a fun job, but it’s also very dangerous finding roadside bombs in war.
Question you learn hvac, plumbing, electrical welding stuff like that?
@@randomlyposter1974 no, just blowing stuff up. Marine Corps has jobs for welding and electrical
@@jacobsotelo5948 ok man it's hard I can't seem to decide on a job
@@randomlyposter1974 so it depends what you want do. Do you want to learn a skill that you can use in the civilian world or do something strictly war related and do crazy stuff. Most jobs in the Marine Corps can’t really relate in the civilian world.
@@jacobsotelo5948before you sign the contract can you sign for combat engineer or would of fall under like basic engineering and construction and you gotta hope that you get the combat engineer?
My buddy was sent to the pool as soon as he hit the fleet. He was a lifeguard at some beach before. He spent 2 years at the pool conducting Swim Qual. Camp Foster Okinawa.
It wasn't his primary MOS but he was allowed to have a POV as a Pfc&LCpl..I think his job was awesome..ofcourse he had to return to 1345 after 2 years.
Damn. That’s pretty badass. How’d he like doing it?
@@ForTheCorps he loved it, what he didn't like was returning to the platoon. 🤣
His uniform for 2 years was swimming trunks
@@MrStaybrown Man he lucked out!
6276 deserves a spot there. Being paid to travel everyday is an insane plus
Can you tell me about it, I still haven't chosen my MOS
KC-130 loadmaster…NIOCE.
Gonna ship today and should arrive to San Diego around 8:20 as a 03xx I’m nervous but ur videos had help a lot I should be back in a couple of months in March😎😎
Hit me up when you graduate man! I’d love to hear how it all went. Good luck man and thanks for watching and supporting!
@@ForTheCorps I will do sgt!!!!i just want say keep up the great videos and I will tell u how the new marine corp bootcamp is or if it ever changed💪🏼💪🏼
Hell yea dude, looking forward to it. Go and crush that shit!
It’s March now? You back yet?

The best job you can ever do in the marine corps is weekend duty. Saturday duty blows anything you would ever do out of the water. Sit in front of a wall all day, and all night. Never a dull moment with Saturday duty’s
Scout Sniper no longer a Marine corps MOS!
Im going 0311/0321 here in June. Gonna try out for FORCE Recon.
Coolest job, GRUNT, the sharp end of the spear. 0311.
6323. Best job.
Did you have to sign a 5 year contract?
@@ForTheCorps yes!
@@alexrounds7084 Good shit man.
Forgot 1833, AAV Crewman
If i join the marine corps i want to be a rifleman and then maybe go for recon
Solid plan man!
Exactly what I was thinking I would wanna join the raiders 2 but they are not in San Diego where I’m from
The fact that aircrew or pilot is not on this list baffles me.
Infantry or support?
any tips for doing marine corps waiting for med waiver to get approved. im worried about the lifestyle change and its weird to not be able to own my guns anymore or at least have them with me but what ever ig
If I could chose any I'd wanna go with dog handler or sniper
Both awesome paths. Go for it!
1371 Engineers Up!
Hell yea!
what are the steps on becoming a Marine Raider? and is it worth it? Would like a mos that’s boots on the ground
Semper Fi 🦅🌎⚓
Thank you, why the 0311 is it cool?
I’m go for combat engineering
*people who watched this right before enlisting*
Been there... Done that... Or I should say I've been Everywhere! Semper FI
Correction to your list, #1 doesn't actually exist and I believe you are talking about the 1721 (now deprecated, 2611) MOS.
How long does a marines graduation (Bootcamp/SOI)last?
Boot camp takes 3 months, SOI if you’re an 03 takes about another 2 months
How about jobs that can transition out of military to civilian life, all these jobs are just pretty much marine based jobs and has no need outside the corp
All those Marines need to eat... did cooks get any votes? 😁 My MOS 4000 is gone but all those Marines got paid becoz of us!
😂 pay is one of the top priorities for Marines for sure! You still in or you get out? Semper Fi brother!🇺🇸
The best job in the Corps doesn't exist anymore. Sea Duty mos 8151 💯

I’m finishing up my junior year in high school, going to meps tomorrow and still don’t know what job I want lol 👍
I’m in the same boat as you I’m supposed to do meps in about a month just waiting for my dad’s signature but good luck my boy
@@peytonb8843 I’m out of meps, I chose crash fire rescue, hby
@@mucheq5386 hows that going
@@ordeals moved to AZ, talked with a different recruiter, and they both told me completely different stories so I ended up deciding to back out because they weren't being honest, Im like 2 weeks from graduating high school now haha i honestly forgot about this phase I had
What about the military police if I join marine and choose that job I will be hated.
Why this video so short ?
