In 2018 I purchased a 1998 GW 272 with the original 2 stroke 225hp Saltwater Series engines. I put new electronics on it and it has taken us to the Vineyard, Cuttyhunk, Block and numerous fishing trips in all comditioms. Just one bad ass boat! We go out when others can't and run faster in sloppy conditions that others fear! We truly spend more time on the water due to how the SeaV2 hull works. They broke the mold with that hull design.

Bayliss and Grady - White, both built in NC with the graveyard of the Atlantic in mind, be like "waves? What waves?" That Bayliss really does show that these smaller boats make the waves look bigger than they actually are.
Grady White boats ride well.I used to watch boat traffic while fishing the Beach Haven inlet in the great state of New Jersey.The Grady White boats rode better than most 40 years ago.Thanks for posting.
All these "Inlet's" are a beast in their own ways & knowing them is key to safely traversing them day after day..... seems like the break is out a ways & it's like a huge sandbar that might need dredging but this is my 2nd video looking at this inlet. The first video the guy almost sank his boat in some heavy seas. That's where I saw how far out that the breakers start. Thanks for the video, I'm new here so lots to look thru. peace
Like the channel man But you gotta do Something about the placement of the black and yellow bow with the description. You can put that on the bottom of the screen. It blocks the view of the boat on the water. Try upper left or upper right
What ever happened to the inboard outboard type of boat or just the straight inboard? It seems silly to have so many outboard engines that need tune ups and other problems multiplied by 3 or even 4 engines. WOW sounds costly to me.
I used to run a 42' Bertram out of Avalon, NJ. She was a tank. Not the fastest out to the canyon but I did not slow down. I like to troll baits and the deep V was great for that. My friend runs a 38' Hatteras out if Cape May. The Hatteras makes it better for him because he charters and does a lot of bottom fishing. But it takes a head sea like a champ. It just depends on what you want to do. There are some who just cruse and there are boats for that.
I should have 6-600 Merc's on my Estrella by Christmas - my gift to myself. I am down in Coral Gables so coming up to Haulover or the inlets along there is 30 miles out of the way though.

You should check out Extreme boats there are prob none in your area yet they are built for rough inlets in new zealand an Australia now available in USA
I own the only Stabicraft on the east side of south Florida. Definitely get a lot of looks and confused stares. People hear are so fiberglass and "style" orientated that they just fail to see the capabilities and benefits of a well designed aluminum boat.
