- Big waves at Haulover inlet and boats hit them hard! some get stuffed and some crush! An Astondoa 72 GLX stuffs hard and might actually be the biggest yacht to bow stuff at Haulover? Some small boats take on the inlet and get pushed around!

Nice to see the drone work. A good use for a drone. Every other bar crossing channel going to drones in 3...2...1...
Dude…that drone pilot absolutely rocks!!!!
Fucking incredible! 💚
Thank you.
@@daviddowling9830 what type of drone is used?
@@daviddowling9830 Do you fly drones in front of cars and trucks on the highway?
Best filming I’ve seen in awhile.
Good job sir, keep em’ coming
This might be your best video ever. To get down low on a couple of those shots really gives the viewer some sense as to what a captain sees in those situation, like the trough between the crests. Those are no jokes. But that Astondoa got dealt with. Like Haulover saying “get your damn fenders back on deck and stored away jackass”.
Thanks! was very nice of the waves to stow the fenders for him li.
@@satunnainenkatselija4478 I don't think tide charts matter to these rich folks! Unless that one boat had a stern dinning/kitchen every piece of china on that boat were probably broken...lol...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
Having watched quite a number of these videos, I have to say that this one has to be the best that I've ever seen, with absolutely fantastic drone shots! Such photography really gives the viewer a sense of actually being there, brilliant :-) Kind regards from the UK.
Hey Zippy! Gotta say, you are the best, man! This camera work is just stunning. Really, really stunning. Thanks for the great entertainment and hope you have a great Christmas!
Thank you! Drone pilot is best around. Merry Christmas to you!
@@ZipZapPower Understatement!!
The astondoa didn't have a swimming pool on board until it left haulover.
self filling hot tub, its all the rage now.
A nasty day at Haulover, but if you notice, a few hundred yards outside the inlet and the water calms down a little...
The drone is so great..
That Cobalt definitely wasn't the right boat for the conditions but the captains pace and rhythm were perfect! Haulover didn't stand a chance!
Wow.
Just. Wow.
That's all I got for this one Zip Zap, Thanks!!
Yep, I gotta agree with everyone else... this was the best Haulover video to date... by anyone. The aerial view really puts things in perspective like no other.
Please... more of this. Please... more... of... this.
Best video I’ve seen the perspective is so much better . The guy in the wrong boat for the conditions handled it better then most of the right boats and, it’s so much calmer out of the rip. Never could see that from shore, thx!
The Astondoa owner patiently waited until the waves had cleaned his stainless steel anchor 😉
I was starting to wonder if they were ever going to find their way out.
Was out on Lake Erie in northern Ohio once in a 17 foot Lund fishing boat with a 50 HP motor and a issued small craft warning ( 3 to 5 foot swells )........NEVER EVER AGAIN !!! LOL
17' no thank you.
I'm a drone pilot myself, and that was some killer drone work!! Gives a great close up experience. How did you get the sound track, since most drones won't record sound due to prop noise?
the audio does not match the video, they added the closest audio to what could be real
@@christianbtc8806 if sound. Is added later they have done a brilliant job
I agree, it synched up pretty good as far as I can tell
On closer inspection, I agree sound doesn't match video, but was good enough to create a believable first impression.
@@RCLivesay Yep! even though the audio is out of sync, they did a good job
The Cobalt may be small but she never stuffed her bow. Maybe the captain has something to do with that? Good job.
Not everyday you see a 72 foot boat stuff the bow twice
Great footage, but maybe next time stay off to the side. It appears that you are confusing the captains. Your drone becomes an unpredictable obstruction when directly in the boats path. I believe the drone caused the boats to slow down putting them in a dangerous situation. Keep up the good work. I do enjoy your videos.
That RIVA is really something else!
I prefer these drone shots soooo much more than the inlet tripod shots. So much more dynamic and not everyone is brave enough to do these drone shots. Keep it up and love your vids!
3:35 ff. Why did he just nearly stop and take a pounding?
Because someone was flying a drone directly in front of him.
Weather it be the Haulover or Boca inlets the blender always gets you. Nice drone 👍 action.
Excellent footage. I've never seen a Riva go that slow before.
@ZipZapPower,
So the Astondoa skipper (in my opinion) has zero idea, of how to run that boat in “seas”!
If it’s hobby horse waves, fast frequency close together; a few revs and knots of power, with that weight of boat and length would have spilt the head waves in two.
Smooth exit from Haulover and the top deck passenger might have had a nice ride!
#DidHeHaveAlicence?😄🤣🤣🤣🤣🇬🇧🇬🇧
You didn’t mention the bumpers flailing around unsecured
The Astondoa 72 took the opposite approach from The Azimut 72 and the difference is day and night. Same size boat, completely different result.
Puzzled about your comments. Dissed the Kansas built Cobalt but that Capt did a great job compared to the yacht stuffers. I do like the drone work
How about that drone work?
4:05 the skipper is probably thinking "almost... almost... FINALLY! Now I don't have to send someone the 10 steps up to the bow to pull the fenders in!"
I hate people with drones disturbing my privacy when I'm on my boat. But for these kind of videos it's awesome 👌 👏 Are you somehow asking people upfront for allowance? Because in Europe it's forbidden to make shots from private persons without their allowance.
Impressive drone flying!
The crew of the Astondoa 72 GLX have no clue how to operate a boat.
Chain lockers in bow left unfastened, flapping open allowed ingress of water.
Bow fenders left over side hitting waves and damaging boat.
Too slow to control boat in conditions.
Trim tabs not set to bow up (but then he was too slow for them to have any effect).
Drives boat as if first time.
Danger to themselves and everyone else.
Ugh God... That big nasty after the first pass of the baby Azimut has got to be one of the worst designs I've ever seen. That thing wallows like a pig. Whoever designed that boat should go back to whatever their previous job was... That was brutal. And that area on the bow that just holds water like a swimming pool. Just really poor all around.
Some of the best Haulover video I’ve ever seen! Some of these people on those big boats need to learn how to captain. Just stuffing the bow again and again! 😂🤣. Rough day I understand but those boats will eat that up at the right speed!
Nah, honestly those boats are floating Winnebagos, and they handle like them too. They're not built for stuff like that, if you're going to take a boat into seas like that for more than about 10 minutes, then you'd be better investing your 4 million into a Hatteras, Viking, Bayliss, or any boat that actually has flaring and is designed for big seas. A Bayliss 70 would've been out of there at 30 knots and not even felt it.
Pretty obvious that the only real way of comprehending how bad Haulover can get is to see it via drove footage. Sitting on the side just doesn't do it justice. I'm surprised of Haulover YT videographers haven't adopted drone footage themselves.
Excellent footage. You've clearly captured how when the wave period is wrong, the sea doesn't care how expensive or luxurious the vessel is - even the larger ones get tossed around like corks.
Ironically the little Cobalt was making better way than that terrible GLX. What was the GLX’s hull all about? It was making little progress and was taking water over the bow, unlike the little Cobalt too.
ya this is the best video of the Haulover I've seen. Nice work. And I could watch an hour of the 42' Prowler catamaran shred those waves. Those cat's are made for stuff like this.
Soooo.....once these boats are out of the inlet, where do they go......? It's not like there's a beach of a marina to pull up to, and the keys are way south.....the bahamas are way east........so where do they go? What is worth slamming the boat around and taking chances in the inlet?
Great views but I don't like the idea of drone(s) recording & spying on me. I'd buy an electronic signal jammer & drop your drone in the ocean.
I look at this and I see great lack of any sort of seamanship on the part of most of those boat operators. I also wonder how they can afford to do this incredibly wasteful expensive guzzling of fossil fuel. Try sailing instead and really learn about the sea and seamanship.
Awesome flying and camera work! My new channel for viewing Haulover at her best!
Astonda 72 / Grey Escape captain: I am not putting the fenders away
Sea: Hold my beer....
Cracks me up every time, people with million dollar boats and fenders flapping around . Amateurs with more dollars than sense.
Drone=stepping up the game. Just shooting from the shore might not be good enough anymore…. MIGHT. I still like those profile shots too.
I you think that leaving your fenders down is a good idea check the A-stunned-doh (sic) @3:40 and think again! What a maroon!
Even the big boys get tossed around some. Fenders flapping, hatches banging. Just another day at the inlet.
Can large (50’) trim the bow up and stay pre-plane like I would on a 24’ to cut threw larger waves?
If you see a submarine, you stop recording, and stop fast! Haha. Its still Miami brother :-P
whenever anybody buys a boat they should be made to take as much training as they do when they get their license to drive! So much of this is just lousy motoring!
Captains of every big boat here except the Azimut 72 need to be fired. Ffs 🤦♂️
Great content! Haulover is the best when its rough! 😊
Also amazing drone footage 😉
Some lazy people even finally get their fenders stowed for the first time. Even if it's the waves that do the work at least they don't look so pathetic for the moment.
wow, the bigger the boat, the dumber the captain! unreal these guys cant run these 3 and 4 million dollar boats
DO MORE DRONE FUTAGE. ITS COOL TO WATCH. ITS ANGLES MOST OF US DON'NT SEE OF BOATS HANDLING THE SEA. THE OFFSHORE BIG RACING STYLE BOATS WOULD BE REALLY COOL.
4:10 one way to stow a fender!
Love that angle
Amazing work
Big day at the inlet when a 72” gets double-stuffed like that Astondoa, lol.
The Riva beautiful,
get the fenders in people!!! I would never go out into the ocean with a single engine NEVER
Some of these nose diving boats should not have a sea worthy.
In stormy seas they will fail
Nice of the captain of the "Greyt Escape" to fill up the bow pool as he departs!!
Best of luck aquiring that Riva, bro... here's to ya!
There should be a special mention for the captains who take green water over the bow.
Hi ZipZapPower . WOW ! Amazing video & incredible drone footage . You always have the highest quality & lighting in your videos . It's like being there in person experiencing it live . The BEST channel covering Haulover Inlet . Much respect . Mark (Toronto) 👍⭐🥇🏆
Thanks! Alot more work but it's worth it!
Lousy captain on Astana 72 foot and he stuffs the bow...good grief
You could see the drone flying around the boats in another haulover video. LoL
Hate the reflective crap azimut puts on its boats. Looks getto cheap.
Make sure that bilge pump is working before using that inlet for sure.
This shit is getting old. Find a new subject!!!!!!!!👎👎👎👎
The people with the yachts crack me up. They have no clue how to drive their vessel.
That Sea Horse; talk about tiptoeing through the tulips. LOL
Is this the Mavic 3? I got it a few weeks ago and it is incredible in gust wind.
OMG Astondoa GLX give it some power - pathetic!
Love the drone. Some of these "Captains" need to learn how to handle a boat!
That abso something needs a captain org ability. Yikes
If I was going to take a lake boat onto Haulover, it would be a Cobalt.
Awesome drone work. Better than being on shore watching the boats.
“Wrong boat” bow rider captain handled it like a champ
Nice pick the Riva i like the 110 and the Sunseeker 116.
kick azz video quality. awesome perspective
I find the sheer amount of baylining going on to be offensive.
This drone will be great for the babes.
that cobalt was handling the waves better than that 72' yacht.
There are some people who don't belong behind the wheel of a boat.
The Cobalt did surprisingly well
Oh my dear Rose .. Show me the way...🤪😜🤪😜👍👍
Hi.
Here is the suggestion for you to activate the Portuguese subtitles in the new videos.
It could also activate for every language on the planet... so EVERYONE understands your videos.
NOTE: Welcome to the Globalized WORLD...
Thank you from Lisbon, Portugal
Always wanna stay dry. It is not good getting soaking wet.
Great footage, but I'd be totally annoyed if somebody sent his spy drone over to my ship without my consent.
Oh darn.
Guess someone got a new toy for Christmas or a bit before!
The drone footage is AWESOME
Money can't buy skill apparently.
How the hell does this guy get to captain this yacht.
3:40 Bring the fenders in. 4:10 Thank you.
Not that close directly in front, little respect eh?
The ex-mother-in-law was on the 72' .lol
you're being kinda creepy with following the boats with your drone so closely.
Opinions differ.
Okay....very and I mean very disappointed in how long the water stayed on the bow of the Astondoa. Dead giveaway that this expensive boat lacks the ability to clear water from the deck! Big reason for sinking or capsizing is the inability to get water off the deck! Stay inshore with that boat!
What's the roll thing on the back that a lot have?
My first comment ever after lurking your videos. What provoked my comment? The need to pay some much deserved praise for the drone pilot and camera work. Excellent really excellent.
Of course builders like Axopar and the Euro junk get good performance with thier sheer bows. It's because there isn't any boat up forward where you need some flair and fiberglass to keep from stuffing. Any boat may do it but some of those should be considered a lake boat instead of something one goes offshore on.
