How many miles on the car and are Mazda Reliable I have a Honda Civic 2011 ex with 221,557 miles just oil changes like general Maintenance like brakes , oil change, transmission fluid change, coolant flush spark plugs and air filter , carbon filter I just replace the o2 sensor on the car last week got my first check engine light
I'm only at 125k miles or 200k km. It's been very good for me, nothing expensive in the 8 ish years that I have had it. It gets a bit more road noise than I would generally want, but its also a budget friendly car. I just bought some sound deadening material and will install it in the doors in the near future to see if I can reduce road noise and improve the stereo sound. I'm happy with my choice of the Mazda 3.
@@DIYNorth I’m looking at 2013 Mazda 3 sky active I sport manual transmission 6speed it has 115,559 miles for 4600 from a small used car dealership have you heard anything about the manual transmission
I'm not sure about the manual transmission. I have the the Mazda 3 skyactive with a 6 speed automatic, but has the manual shift option, so not exactly the same a true manual. I've had no engine or transmission problems. It also has a timing chain rather than a belt so there is no need to change that, which is nice. Obviously experiences may vary, but its been good for me.
motor mounts are fine. Haven't done the wheel bearings. I replaced the horn for $16, and there is crack in my cup holder lid, but that was probably from a kid standing on it. Other than that just regular maint.
Not on my Mazda. Its almost at 200k km though. I bought the MAF cleaner to do my older Honda Pilot which did have a check engine light on. I figured that since I bought a whole can I might as well do this one as well.
Thank you so much for this video!
Cheers, no problem.
Any videos on how to change the maf harness?
Unfortunately I do not have one. I'm not sure how far back the wiring goes before it connects to something else.

My 2012 Mazda 3 Skyactiv is the same color as yours.
It's one of their better colors I think
Was your check engine light on, and that’s why you had to clean the MAF?

Does the check engine light always come on if you need to clean the MAF?
