Its a decent vehicle. I bought it new in 2013 and its at 275000 km. I haven't put very much into it. Engine and transmission are going strong. All the plastic bits under the car are falling apart, but doesn't really affect anything.

@@DIYNorth what do you mean like under the dash or under the actual car? I picked up mine today it’s got 113,000 km.

@@davidrodgers2314 all of the skid plates under the car and in the wheel wells. I think its from ice and snow beating it up. I use lots of cable ties to hold things together.

I reducing some of my old videos to sub-60 second videos to see if a short will do better than a long format video. Its a bit of a test.

@@DIYNorth very well done! I can’t quite figure out the short production on the computer. I’ve released a 57 second video and thought it would automatically become a short, but it didn’t. I’m o it able to produce shorts on my iPhone RUclips studio app and only in one take, which is hard to do a video like yours with multiple angles and takes. Still new to this.

@@MaximumDIYGarage so I use davinci resolve for video editing. Just the free version. You have to adjust the format to vertical and then it does the iPhone look and will automatically upload as a short. You can also just drag you old video file in and edit what you want out of it for the short. It let's you adjust the position to keep what you want centered as well. Anyway, free version of davinci resolve is the short answer

No, a liter and a US quart are different. It would be closer to 4 US quarts as I understand the system.

They are still good. I've put on a lot of miles and ran them through 2 winters. I have no complaints with them.

They might work forever, but I'm sure that the company that made them would no longer guarantee that they work. If they fail to work you also couldn't sue the company. That might be the bigger incentive to put an expiration date on them. So the company is no longer liable for failure to detect.

@@DIYNorth edit: they are actually closer to 30 years since the house was built in 89, regardless, it is impressive that they lasted 3x the "expiration date". Though I did recently talk to my family about installing new photoelectric ones, we are keeping our Firex FX1020s up as long as they work.

I had to look around for something that would show up on black paint.

its probably still at zero. just enough for it to take the general shape of a tire and not be floppy and twisting up on itself.

same process really, but on the build you need to run your monitor off the GPU. The GPU should be recognized as a generic graphics adaptor (or words to that effect), until you download and install the GPU drivers. Windows install should be the same if you are installing it off a USB, just insert the USB and boot the computer. I've only owned a CPU without integrated graphics once, and honestly I'm not going to go back to it. its not the set up that was an issue, it was the trouble shooting if an issue happens.

I would use the head unit ground, but the cable for the camera only has the ground wire attachment on the camera side.

no i don't think so, there is probably a calculation for the amount of soffit venting to the amount of roof vents. I pretty much did them all though.

That is not a great service life.

I would try to boot into safe mode and then see if it works once you are in windows in safe mode.

I would first try a different hdmi cable. I've had a lot of issues lately with cables only working some of the time

@@DIYNorth im going to a repair shop ive tried conecting my laptop to screen it worked so idk cant even get into bios anymore after i did what u said soo im spending 100 more dollars on stupid repairs i swear troubleshooting is the worst thing to do

@@jeremydrissen3867 I would try plugging the hdmi into the motherboard with the GPU in to see if it is sending signal there. If that didn't work I would then remove the 4080 and boot the computer running just off the motherboard. Some mother boards also allow you to select which pcie lane the motherboard uses for the GPU. If it is set to a different lane you could also have a black screen

So I just checked mine and it is about half full in the bottom bucket. That said it's been running non stop for a few weeks now. I'm not really sure why there is some spillage into the catch bucket. Did your totally fill up or did it go to about half and stop filling the bucket

I order my stuff through rock auto. No vin required but you need to know which engine you have. A 2010 would likely fit, but if you get a junk yard one it might also not work. It might be worth having a garage do a diagnostic test to tell you exactly what the issue is before you tackle the ac compressor yourself. If this is one of your first big jobs on your car you really want to be sure what the issue is, as the ac compressor would be a challenging replacement. Not impossible though.

Was the car running? And if so was the ac pump spinning? It is possible that the ac pump has failed or the ac clutch isn't engaging. You might consider looking at the ac clutch relay to make sure it didn't die. Just something to consider if the system says its pressurized but no cold air is coming out of the vents.

As a side note I was on a course for my real job and there were 5 other people with Mazda 3s from the same era. Every single one had an ac that no longer worked. 100 percent failure rate out of 5 random people. One took his in to get fixed and he paid $900.

@@DIYNorth The car was running, although I'd have to look closer to see if the compressor was spinning. And before this I replace the blower motor resistor because the fan was only working at full blast, though to only got 1 and 2 working this time. When I first hooked up the hose to the low pressure value, the needle on the gauge didn't even move, is that encouraging? I really hope it's not a total failure, I can't afford that even before work cut my hours again.

Yes they are the same size front and back. You can run different sizes though, I just don't. The tubes are based on tire width. Obviously they are 27.5 but there should be a second number to indicate what width of tire they can be used with.
