The d700 retains 4k video with the rear installed.
It costs more, but I think I'd go one model up. 4k seems to make a big difference for dash cams.

Hello the cam dash doesn’t have a lcd screen , how can u view it live? Do you have to use your phone to view live as you drive?
If you want a live view....yes.
You need your phone
I wonder if you can get a separate rear cam that will record in 4K also?
I'm yet to see one but that would be a big upgrade
After not even a year mine is not recording any more
That is not a great service life.
