Very thorough and comprehensive maintenance! Well done!!! Consider replacing the fill/drain plugs to avoid dealing with rusted Allen key holes on the future fluid replacements.

If I ever do this again getting new plugs would be a good idea

Great work, sir. Can you give me your opinion on the correctness of the process of cleaning the engine combustion chambers for the Nissan Pathfinder engine?

Sorry I've never done it before, but there seems to be several chemical based methods to clean the combustions chambers.

This might be a tough and possibly a subjective question to answer...is the amount of corrosion you have a normal-ish amount for the vehicle age and climate you live in? I ask because I used to own a 2004 Maxima and the front passenger floor board rusted away. Literally put my feet through the board and pulled a yaba daba door. Thinking Nissan used to have a corrosion issue.

I think that the rust is maybe a bit more excessive than normal. The body panels and floor boards actually are not that bad, it seems like it is mainly surface rust on the thicker metal parts.

$9 a liter for atf. Wow my honda crv cost $36 cad per liter. F honda. I changed my 2012 r51 transfer case fluid using valvoline max $14 cad per liter from canadian tire.

yeah the fluids for this thing are pretty reasonable, even at the dealership. I'm not sure why certain ATF types are really expensive, but $36 a liter is certainly a lot.

@@DIYNorth im from montreal. my pathfinder had a broken bracket for transfer case on driver side. i cant put it back cause its shuttered into small pieces. for now it doesnt show any leaks i replaced it with metal putty from canadian tire for the moment. my question is have you tried to order parts in rockauto? how was it? if not where in ontario/quebec you recommend to order parts for our pathys?

@@ApArt1003 rockauto has been great for me.
      I highly recommend it.
Obviously you need to order the parts yourself so make sure you know what you are buying
